Self-indulgent crap. Lots of nice male bodies, but I can get that anywhere on the Internet, without the pretentious, audience-insulting nonsense, and with much better lighting.
1/10 The 1 is for the bodies. There is nothing else to recommend this.
In only the most caring of possible ways, let me share with you that if, after seven episodes, you feel "as if you are missing a part of the story...as if their entire bond is an inside joke...etc.," then it is clear that the show is "not for you." All the information you missed is right there on the screen. I don't need to know your life history to know that. You're not connecting with the material. It's not a crime. I don't connect with the vast majority of post-2000 BLs.
I gave up trying to explain plot elements or other aspects of a show to MDLers long ago. More often than not, doing so is received defensively, leading to an argument and insults. Not worth the time or trouble.
By all means, keep watching a show that's going over your head. Your time is yours to waste.
so what if he hasn't watched porn, I dream of my future partner never watching porn because watching porn isn't…
lol, this is hilarious. Were your delicate fee-fees hurt? If so, it would be interesting, coming after your absurd comment above, announcing that all gay men act the same, and in a way only you are aware of.
Sky knows plenty about you from WHAT YOU WROTE to reply the way they did.
so what if he hasn't watched porn, I dream of my future partner never watching porn because watching porn isn't…
ooh...I like this, all except for the "not watching porn" part, because 99.9% of men, gay or straight, have watched porn long before they're Kanade's age. I'd suggest abandoning that dream of yours.
As for the rest of your reply to Notawe, you are spot-on.
Having a grown man jump onto a bed face down kicking and screaming in excitement, is bad, bad, bad direction.…
What a strange comment.
The kicking and screaming is great direction, because it is exactly what Kanade would do. The man has never dated or had sex, just like a 10-year-old girl. His behavior IS ridiculous...and also funny.
"The director is terrible if this is how they think gay men actually behave." Is it your opinion that all "gay men" act the same?
Mashiro was giving me anxiety when he was mixing the hamburger steak, germs flying every which way. I like the…
Mashiro is SUPPOSED to be too much for you. Sometimes he's too much for Kanade Kanade is afraid of dating and sex, because he has experienced neither. You're not SUPPOSED to like his mama.
yesss omg and the amount of actors these days being found dead in the apartments/cars is heartbreaking 💔
I don't know the specifics of the last three or four months. Has there been a cluster of entertainer suicides again? God...
I keep an In Memoriam list of Korean entertainers who have been driven to suicide by so-called "scandals." If you want, please forward names of recent suicides, so I can add them to the list.
The tell here is that Lily Alice makes no mention of the horrifically sadistic entertainment press (her!), that reports every lie, rumor, and innuendo flung around on the Internet with zero skepticism or vetting. Lily Alice contributes to the very "scandals" she pretends to be surprised by in this article. Apparently, it's news to Lily that the "scandals" she hypes for clicks destroy careers and lives, often ending in suicides.
But then, suicides are just one more fabulous opportunity for Lily to act surprised and sad in another lame article.
If you're talking about Sungri, who most people who don't know what they're talking about, consider the "main…
You are an excellent example of a self-righteous MDLer/Knetz, much more interested in your moralistic pose than in facts.
You: "Suengri was charged with prostitution mediation, embezzlement, habitual gambling, and violating foreign currency exchange laws. He was also accused of instigating violence and sharing illicit photos."
Me: "Sungri was never charged, tried, or convicted for any form of sexual assault/rape, despite the Knetz liars endlessly claiming otherwise." It does not matter what Seungri or anyone was CHARGED with. What matters is what they were CONVICTED of. Yet you completely ignore my statement about sexual assault/rape, of which he was never charged, though that doesn't prevent you from pretending that he was. There are many thousands of Knetz who believe to this day that Sengri was guilty of sexual assault/rape. He is not.
You: "You support and promote him as if he somehow got in the crossfire and did nothing wrong. As if he had no clue what his business partners, who were jailed for sexual crimes, were doing in his place of business... that he didn't try to mislead the government about the type of business he was running in order to avoid taxes that everyday business folks pay and safety regulations that keep the customers that go into the business safe."
No one cares what you imagine me to be "supporting and promoting AS IF...blah blah blah. The SUPPORTING AND PROMOTING and AS IF stuff is all in your head and is irrelevant to anyone who exists outside your cranium. Consider reading what other commenters write and not what you want to pretend they did, so that you can react with performative, self-righteous outrage. You're so eager to display your imagined moral superiority that you don't pause to READ.
I got a good chuckle from your "...everyday business folks pay..." schtick, as if every f**king company is SK isn't doing whatever they can to maximize profits in much the same way. The prosecution slapped on the tax and business charges as insult to injury and because they could. Your fantasy of righteous, flawless police and prosecutors in SK is laughable. They trump up and falsify charges all the time, for PR purposes and because they're douche bags. Consider the long list of celebrities they've helped drive to suicide.
Finally, you have no way of knowing what Seungri did or did not know about what his business partners were doing with and in "his" place of business. He was not there 24/7, overseeing every detail of every transaction or activity. That is pure conjecture on your part. People like you love conjecture, rumor, innuendo, assumptions, and lies, when they feed your preconceived narrative that Seungri Bad! Prosecutors Good!
Hey, don't you find it curious that prostitution is illegal in SK, but the actual, you know, PROSTITUTES are rarely charged or tried? Why is that? I'll tell you why: The government wants us to see them as innocent, young maidens forced, FORCED I tell you, into subjecting themselves to the whims of mean, piggish men. You and yours are afraid of the idea that a prostitute can CHOOSE her career as a sex worker as a means of making money, like any other business. Your morality has no relevance to that matter.
Before you respond with blind, spittle-spewing rage, note that I am separating professional prostitutes from any unsuspecting female clients of the club who were drugged, or otherwise deceived/abused into submitting to sex with anyone, anywhere.
Also, it's entertaining that people like you refuse to acknowledge that lots of young women want, desire, and seek out the social and physical attentions of wealthy and/or famous men, be it for status, a thrill, or hoped-for career advancement. To take a mature view of such matters would hamper your condescending attitude toward women, that they are dumb, delicate flowers in need of your protection from making their own decisions and acting on their own agency as adult human beings.
You: "Act like he's some sort of victim in this situation???"
Try concerning yourself with what people write here, rather than your fevered theories on what they "act like." You'd have very little to say if you didn't make up s**t to respond to.

May I suggest, in a caring manner, that you drop the show and move on? It's not for you.
Perhaps drop the show and check out whatever new Thai stuff is playing this week.

You're not SUPPOSED to like his mama.
What show are you watching?
The lead looks like he's as old as his dad.
Dropped 20 minutes in.

It's the one who wrote one clueless line and called it a review.
That stairwell scene. When Yoonoh got honest and his voice went high-pitched with nerves and fear, wow. This is some rare work, guys. Bravo!
Naturally, this is getting zero attention on MDL.
