But I have seen lots of cities shot that way in movies, all more or less just as lovely. The daytime shots appear like most any huge modern city to me. What do you find beautiful about Bangkok that you have not seen captured as well elsewhere as here?

No, I'm not kidding and I'm not mocking the character. The other two, especially Chian (who is edging into serial killer territory), could use some help but neither of them has pissed themselves in an upholstered chair and then sat in it, all because his latest crush was honest with him. Bua's desperate need for constant attention/diversion/distraction is heartbreaking. In that regard, I feel for him the most of all these characters. We're talking suicidal here. Maybe that will be the penultimate shock to this tale.

1. Poor Bua needs psychiatric support NOW. I'm not snarking. Any person who experiences the kind of extreme physical response to that late-episode situation we saw near the end is in extreme danger of a breakdown and even suicide.
2. Chian is more of a double-douche than I already knew him to be. Inserting himself into that group/class meeting was a classic Chian the Dick move.
3. Perhaps even more astounding is that the other two didn't simply say "That is none of your business" and close out the meeting. The poor souls don't realize they have very basic options, such as refusing to be ambushed like that. SM culture has taught them they are somehow obligated, trapped in such situations. They're not. I would say the same of Bua, but he is so far gone into SM World there is no hope until after the psych intervention he so badly needs. Again, no snark. The lack of parenting is heartbreaking. There is no loving authority figure in his life to draw boundaries he's not equipped to draw on his own.
4. Faifa is a psycho too. Another commenter here ragged on me last week about Four4Mod being possibly "pan" or whatever. I call BS. He's clearly gay with a tiny sprinkling of straight. 6. F4M needs to grow a pair. Poor guy...despite his outward joviality, I suspect he operates from a deep well of insecurity. Chian's hot/cold act is excruciatingly painful, but it provides drama and a sense of being pursued that is affirming in a twisted way, does it not?
7. Baabin rules above all. I love how he allowed himself to feel things and go with the flow re Bua, while maintaining perspective and self-awareness. Admirable.
8. A leading character I keep forgetting to mention is the interior settings. The attention to detail and planning/design that goes into every bedroom/living space/study room/whatever is astounding. It adds so much to my understanding of the person who lives/works/studies/eats there. Oscar to the sets and set-dressing people.
The creativity in storytelling here is off-the-charts sensational. There have been 500 visual metaphors throughout that are not only effective in signaling important vibes, but simply beautiful to behold. Baabin's double-sock routine took my breath away with its simplicity and depth of feeling. So much conveyed through so little. Gorgeous. Never has so much glorious-ness of acting/direction/production been utilized in the telling of an otherwise marginally worthy tale.
So: Bua and Chian off to the nuthouse, F4M off to the hospital to have a spine inserted, and Baabin off to his desk to begin work on his first philosophy of life and self-help book.
