Before starting episode 6, an announcement: I have an intense love-hate relationship with this show. The strongest of a few BLs in that category.

I just skip-watched ep 5 to remind me where things stood, so now I'm all distraught and angsty before the damn thing even starts. This director and his remarkable cast have pulled me in with their uncanny scenes of REAL, youthful pain and heartache. The acting here is on par with most any feature film I've seen.

I care deeply what happens to these idiots even as I roll my eyes at their obsessions with fingernails and social media. But then, fingernails and social media are two of the lead characters here, aren't they?

I suspect my feeling that way is not an unintended effect of watching this drama. :)

The only intimate scene to this point is the crotch-grab in the photo booth, in which we see nothing beyond hands on the outside of pants. THAT gets an 18+ rating from the Thai government? I guess so. lol

Thanks for your input. I appreciate your explanation, especially of FM using the word "partner." That's part of the problem with texting though, you can't convey emphasis or subtleties of meaning that we regularly convey through vocal inflection.

As for the second matter, what I didn't see was a HEIGHTENED sense of infatuation from FM toward Chian after the jerkoff, which is what I think would have happened, as having that intense physical experience with him would naturally deepen his feelings. To me, he seemed at the same level as before that happened; which means it was as though it did not happen at all, which didn't ring true to me but whatever.

I agree FM is adorable, all-round, but the fact that he's making those puppy faces at Chian, who I dislike quite immensely, is painful.

Oh, I know of Jayler from his youtube music videos, many of which I enjoy. He's a real talent with loads of charisma.

Episode 5:
Question: When Foumod texted, then left that message for Chian, who was he referring to as his "partner?" with whom he is going to do nails with from now on? And why did he suddenly dump Chian just after Boa gave him the go-ahead? What is wrong with these people? :D

Oh, and don't we need to know how far the sexual thing between Chian and FM went after they started groping in the photo booth? That's pretty relevant to the story and any subsequent feelings/turmoil that would be swirling around, don't you think? I mean, did they do a double Jerk, did they go to Chian's place a go all the way, or did they stop at groping? The way the beginning of 5 played, it was as though the photo booth/end of 4 never happened.

I hate when directors do that. There is a major development at the end of a scene or episode, but next thing we know it's three days later and the outcome is never indicated. Annoying. Thoughts?

This show is under my skin but there are a LOT of things I don't like about it.

Who is JJ and who is his brother?

I don't perceive Chian or Boa as being complete newbies at this game, though maybe FM is. Chian definitely comes across as a player. Even when he tries to be honest, he ends up using that as a tactic too. He's still hot for Boa. Boa is a player and seems very aware of what he's doing and why. He plays and manipulates Chian like a pro. Chian then manipulates FM in response, to make himself feel better and what we get is instant hanky-panky in the photo booth. He's not really into FM. I am the farthest thing from a prude, but the way he put FM's hand on his crotch instead of kissing him, which seems like the more romantic first move, you can get to dicks later, really put me off. The lack of an intimate kiss there may be a sign of his lack of romantic feelings for FM. Lots of gay guys want sex without kissing when it's about getting off more than anything else. You know the old "no strings fuck buddy" thing. I bet that's what he'll try to pass of sex with FM if it turns out they went all the way. I'm about to watch ep 5.

I didn't get the double confession anyway. FM already confessed to Chian back in ep 2, so what was the big deal with another one, which seems pathetic.

I agree entirely with your middle paragraph about the laughing/crying/laughing/crying thing in the mall at the beginning. As it happened I thought "He's doing a performative acting out for himself of what he thinks a person in his situation would do, he's trying to believe his own bullshit, but it's not working." That was after I LOL'd so hard like a crazy person.

Nah, I can't with the singing though. It is BAD...off-key, terrible, just awful, ear-splitting grossness. He cannot carry a tune. All those kids are entertainment savvy; they know what good singing sounds like. I'm not asking that he be Kim Jonghyun; I'm asking him to sing on-pitch and carry a melody which he does not come close to doing yet everyone carries on as though it's great. I don't buy it. Feels like a false note in a show in which details/locations/sets/music/everything is so authentic, it doesn't come off as believable to me.

It does, but I'm disappointed for his own sake that Baabin decided to go that way, knowing he's hot for FM. I thought he had finally found himself and was determined to express his affection to FM, to hell with Chian. Plus, Baabin is perceptive enough to know Chian is not into FM on a romantic level anyway, at least that is how I perceive Chian. I don't like him. He's still in love with Boa. It was pathetic and self-destructive of Baabin to share those texts with Chian. Now Chian and FM are going to do the nasty, Chian will then distance himself, and FM will be more miserable than ever. Also, sharing those private texts with a third party, especially someone so central to the conversation, is a jerk move on Baabin's part; a violation of FM's privacy and a betrayal of his confidence. Even if in his masochistic mindset he thought he was doing a good thing, that crosses the line for me. It's manipulative, regardless of intent. Now I suppose we'll be watching Baabin wallow in the misery he created for himself.

I understood everything in your first paragraph and was clear on that during the episode.
But why would Baabin send those messages to Chian when by the time the concert STARTED, he had decided to confess to Fourmod himself and did so even though he unsent all his voice messages? Why would he do anything to encourage Chian at that point? Sorry if I seem obtuse here, but I guess I need to rewatch that bit a couple times.
