but when others say the same about other series you call them psychos..... Lol
No, Cindy, that is not the case. I apply such a label to others for reasons having little or nothing to do with their preference for or against a particular show. Sounds like you might be a frustrated Knetz, since MDL shut your people down. I have called a LOT of those people "psychos."
With mid being a 5, I'm glad you gave it an 8 rating.
I confess to a curiosity about where a film/series lands on a rating scale among its overall audience, but I do not let it prevent me from watching films that sound intriguing. I find the MDL ratings to be almost entirely the opposite of my take on shows. To me, up is down, and black is white in the ratings here.
I don’t just want a BL (Boys' Love) to be about a simple love story anymore. These days, audiences expect more…
Yeah, I've never seen BM a second time, either. :) I remember it being a tad boring. It's significance lies in that it was the first "big" Hollywood film, starring two well-known actors, who played gay. And there's been nothing like it since.
Wow, I am sort of shocked you have NO Asian gay-themed films on your "best" list. Mind sharing titles of films that ARE on your list? I watch films from all over the world, so I'd be eager to see any I haven't seen already.
With the help of the Internet, I put together a list of non-American Western gay films I enjoyed. I have watched many of them a second or third time. It's just that my quirk for more powerfully connecting emotionally with Asian characters/stories than those from elsewhere, leaves my uber-favorite gay films list completely Asian. I am as Caucasian as you can get, so make of that as you will. :D

Thanks for your thoughtful reply. :) I enjoyed reading about your perspective and for the most part, I think I agree.
If by "...western professional gay/LGBTQ productions.'' you are referring to feature films, I do have to disagree there. I am American, but ALL the best gay/LGBTQ films I have seen are Asian; ranking by quality Korea, Japanese, Taiwan, Thai. The only film I see as equaling what I have found in Asia is the classic, "Brokeback Mountain." Most American gay films are cheesy/stupid/low budget/embarrassing. :)
We have no equivalent nor anything close, to BL in the West. Nothing.
With its sense of foreboding from the early frames to the denouement, dim interiors, and gays-must-be-miserable ending, A Capella feels more like it was made in 1996 than 2016. Still, I rather liked it. My tastes have grown and changed in five years. I remember dropping this early in, about that long ago.
With mid being a 5, I'm glad you gave it an 8 rating.
Actually, going by the strict, one through ten and using all the stars makes more sense. However, after coming to MDL I soon noticed that the kids here seem to think anything below a 7 is a disaster, and evaluate the ratings by decimal points between 7 and 9. It's as though the rest of the stars/half-stars don't exist. lol
At some point, I expressed my confusion regarding this, and someone suggest the ABCDF thing. But now that you mention it, I may go back to using all ten regularly. That said, I often do rate things well below a 6 or F, when it's not just a matter of a show being bad, but HOW bad it is. :D Shows I drop get a 1/10 from me. :P
With mid being a 5, I'm glad you gave it an 8 rating.
We all have different ways of using the 1-10 star MDL rating system, a big part of why it makes little sense. I suppose to me, "mid" would be a C on an ABCDF scale, or a 70%, which puts it a 7/10. But the presence of Yoo and the fact it's his first released project since the two years of Korean media/legal/knetz torture he has endured, brought it up to an 8/10. Or not. Whatever. :)
I think some kind of fan association has filed a criminal complaint against the so called 'fans' who are spreading…
That is great news, though how they go about tracking down the people who make false accusations online is a mystery to me. I know SK legislators have toyed with ideas such as requiring discussion group participants to register with a verifiable form of ID so that they will be accountable for what they say. Normally, I would object to that as an infringement on free speech. However, the Knetz phenomenon is so out of hand and specific to Korea, that I think such laws are justified by now.
Curious: Why do accept as fact that he did what he has only at this point been ACCUSED of?
Again, I will leave your silly, near-incoherent rambling to speak for itself. You've now devolved to the "get a life," "get a job," blah blah blah insult stage, which means you understand that your weak line of BS is all you've got left. Which means insults will have to suffice.
Newsflash: what some silly, Dutch Knetz MDL little girl fantasizes about me is irrelevant.
Not sure you care but this is based on a very popular manga/anime; and much of the storyline is what is because…
So....YOU don't take moral lessons or teachings from BLs, but you're concerned for all the other dumb people who do. Got it.
You're completely ignoring my primary point about how a lot of "cheating" comes about, but that's your choice, so fine. Forgiveness is a beautiful thing. I hope you'll come to that view someday. That does not mean that every relationship in which it happens should end with the couple getting back together. Not by any means. There are plenty of people out there who cheat deliberately and intentionally, and when caught and forgiven, do it all over again. The partners of those people are wise to get rid of them asap. I am saying there are also plenty of situations in which the cheating comes about from a one-time set of unique circumstances and will not happen again, if the couple deals with it properly and carefully.
Even then, it takes time to fully re-establish trust. I admire those who love each other and take the time and make the effort to repair their relationship. If that's not a wise choice to make, then yes, dump the cheater. BUT...this attitude I see a lot of on MDL, which is summarized as "Once a cheater, always a cheater," is a lazy, black/white, all/nothing, self-righteous bit of hokum; and part of the NeoPuritanism arising among young people today. It's judgemental and sad.
Curious: Why do accept as fact that he did what he has only at this point been ACCUSED of?
Yes, you are a girl. Consider mastering English before going on to those 14 other languages you plan on butchering.
And omg...it wants to "study law...' LOLOLOL it says, while out of the other side of its mouth it pronounces people guilty of crimes for which they haven't had a trial. PLEASE keep your law practice on THAT side of the Atlantic, ok?
Curious: Why do accept as fact that he did what he has only at this point been ACCUSED of?
I will leave your comment to speak for itself and its author, who clearly, is an ignorant, nearly-illiterate, terrible writer (please stop butchering the English language; maybe go back to your native tongue, Klingon), as well as someone who is amusingly ignorant of the law.
yeah, yeah, people like you, little girl, and you are a girl, why are you trying to pretend otherwise?, always betray their inferiority complex toward the USA by being the first to go off about how lame we are, but then in the next two sentences you betray the fact that you obsessively watch everything that happens here. "Diddy..." lol
Yes, we have a giant orange turd in the white house right now, but I sure as hell didn't vote for it. Anyway, lay off crucifying people you have no right or perspective to judge. Again, focus on your own frailties, then go after talented young men halfway around the world from you, because doing so makes you feel better about yourself.
P.S. Diddy IS innocent in the eyes of the law, because that's how "innocent until proven guilty" works. Furthermore, watch what you write here to me, or about Kamimura. MDL no longer tolerates commenters trashing celebrities with names derived from crimes they haven't been proven to have committed, nor does it put up with a lot of the trash-talk you've already spewed at me. If you want to try me out, throw another nasty comment by way, I'll report it, it will get aken down, and then you'll be on the MDL ban list. I would enjoy that.
Since I can't watch the episode until today, I guess I'll have to prepare myself if the episode grabbed you like…
lol Silly...you made me laugh. It sounds like you're afraid of me. hahaha I'm perfectly harmless. I just have a snarky, big mouth, strong opinions, and an attitude.
Yeah...wow. Boom's acting...he is WAY talented. Thank you for making me aware of him through this show.
Curious: Why do accept as fact that he did what he has only at this point been ACCUSED of?
Are you drunk? The way in which this incoherent reply is written makes it clear that you are a tiny child, regardless of where you live.
There is no victim until there is a crime, and there is no crime until it has been PROVEN in court. But even that wouldn't be good enough for your type. We both know that when he is found not guilty, you will say the verdict was rigged and he did "it," (that dreadfully serious inappropriate touching thing) because if he didn't do "something," then none of this would have happened...right? Oh yeah, I've seen your nonsense for 20 years now.
Actually, little girl, it doesn't matter where you live, if you yack and spew BS like a K/J/T/Cnetz, then you are one. You don't deserve to live in an admirably progressive place like the Netherlandsd. Go live in Iran. They'll slap a Burkha on you and you'll be safe from all that inappropriate touching.
