If you're making a movie that's not entirely based on true events or doesn't strictly follow them, for God's sake,…
What, you don't like the ending because it wasn't wrapped in a pretty bow? Shit like this happens all the time. People who do horrible things get off with zero accountability. It is important for films to show that reality.
Wow. This was much better than I had expected. Unique thriller.
I wonder if actresses hesitate to be cast against Kora Kengo. He is far more beautiful than any of them can hope to be. :) Great actor too.
A few minor implausibles here, but overall I was totally into it.
9/10
After note: I have zero problem with nudity in films. I welcome it, depending on who's naked. :) That said, I'm getting tired of this double standard whereby women actors are forever being shown stark naked, head-to-toe, yet we rarely see the same from men. Here, the FL was required to be entirely bare for an extended period in front of the camera, yet all we get from Kora Kengo is the top 1/4 of his ass crack. This is almost always the case in Asian films, and probably Hollywood too; though I haven't watched any of those since I found Asian cinema four years ago. Women are more than half the movie-going/watching audience. It's long past time to give them, and we gay men, what straight men have been enjoying for decades.
yeah, yeah, yeah...I suppose the shocking plot twist is that he's been porking his own daughter who it turns out,…
Yeah, your perspective is WILDLY biased, which is why you perceived my reply to you as a "rant." I ALWAYS wait until after I watch a film to read comments, precisely because spoilers are an MDL feature, not bug. How weird that you're coming unglued about this.
I have heard of Old Boy on and off for 20 years. I never gave enough of a shit to look into it. So again, I had no knowledge of the BIG HUGE SHOCKING plot twist that has never, ever been seen in any other movie in the history of the world.
Your inability to accept that as a fact, and your fantasy that I am LYING to a rando on the Internet about not knowing about the GARGANTUAN, HORRENDOUS, AWFUL plot twist, is another sign of your delusional thinking regarding this film.
My comment above makes perfect sense. You're the one coming off like a spittle-spewing nut case here, not me. Maybe take a look at what "got YOU goin, bud" before your next therapy session.

What the hell are you talking about? No one spoiled any plot point for me. As I wrote above, "...I figured that out when he met her." Furthermore, such a thing would NOT put me off watching anything. I read comments below AFTER dropping the film, which is when it took me a while to ascertain that the "shocking," "gross," etc. plot twist was what I figured out in five minutes. As I said, I dropped it out of boredom, and its tedious attempts to be artsy here and there, not because I was "shocked" by anything.
This thing apparently was groundbreaking when it was released, but that was a long time ago. Seems your perspective on this film may be stuck in the past, as revealed by the semi-hysteria in your reply above. Calm down.
First four episodes were actually good. lol This thing is gay as f**k. Are we sure this isn't another show made in China but not released there, thus avoiding the censors? No Chinese censored bromance I've seen went anywhere near as far as this show has already, in making it clear as day there is gay shit going down.
How is she a mediocre talent nepo baby?? You must not know her talent has been since the early 90s...Do you even…
"Because I actually have a life, hobbies etc , and don't just sit online posting your hate comments in this big age of 2024."
And yet, here you are AGAIN. lol. Seems like that busy life, all those hobbies, etc. have been put on hold while you "...just sit online posting your hate comments (to me) in this big age of 2024." "...big age of 2024." Whatever the hell that means.
"This isn't Hollywood, this is Korea." I took this to mean you are IN Korea. If not, I don't care and it doesn't matter regarding this conversation.
So, I'm getting that you agree with me in general, about K-entertainment and that BD is a nepo baby who would never have gotten anywhere without her family's connections, but you think she is pretty and talented, and I think she's homely and a boring, inexpressive actor. Is that right?
What media out of Korea do you follow? I'm heavily into films, BL, and on very rare occasions a drama on Netflix. Also, a tad bit of Kpop.

lol It's lame how you keep telling me to get a hobby/read a book/go outside/etc. and yet here you are again, replying to my replies like the Doona-Freak you are.
I love that you pretend there are no nepo-babies in Korea. hahahahahaahahahahhahas You either don't know her family and connections background, you're in denial about it, or you're lying.
I know this odd-looking woman "started" out as a model. lol The question is how did someone who looks like her get a modeling job? lol
Don't presume to lecture me about the Korean entertainment business, which is deeply fucked up and regularly puts its stars in the ground via suicide, at a FAR greater rate than in Hollywood. The last suicide of a well-known entertainer in the U.S. as FIVE years ago. Korea's was two months ago.
I know all about the Korean music and film industry. The fact that you're Korean only means you lack objectivity on the matter.
Oh my gosh, I didn't expect this. I have seen the drama at least once and the first movie at least twice, but this version felt almost brand-new to me. Which is strange, because I could not tell you for sure what was new here; I don't think it was a lot but obviously it made a difference. I felt this story as I had not felt it before.
Perhaps this version was remastered, or I only saw it in crappy res before, but the picture quality was crystal clear. I believe this added a lot to that "new" feel. But again, the story...I knew what was coming basically, but it touched me more deeply.
Anyone who wants to see it where I did, check the spoiler below.
Hong Xabin - Blue dragon best new actor - won Bibi - Baeksang best new actress - won Song Joong Ki - Buil film…
Thank you for sharing this. I am thrilled to see HXB won best new actor he deserved it. Also Ha Yan as Bibi. Bravo! SJK did an outstanding job of portraying a depressed, shut-down person who ran out of reasons to live.
I can't say enough great things about this movie. I just watched it a second time and changed my 9.5/10 to a 10/10.

It's not "amazing" in 2024.

BD is a joke. So are you.

I like age-gap plots.
Love JSP's eyes.
Love Raiden Lin's...everything. :)
Both hospital scenes were moving.
These episodes feel too brief to wait a week for. I was able to binge the first eight, so this weekly gap will be a slog for me.
Also Ha Yan as Bibi. Bravo!

But yes, I was sad to see big brother not make it.
