Oh my gosh, I didn't expect this. I have seen the drama at least once and the first movie at least twice, but this version felt almost brand-new to me. Which is strange, because I could not tell you for sure what was new here; I don't think it was a lot but obviously it made a difference. I felt this story as I had not felt it before.
Perhaps this version was remastered, or I only saw it in crappy res before, but the picture quality was crystal clear. I believe this added a lot to that "new" feel. But again, the story...I knew what was coming basically, but it touched me more deeply.
Anyone who wants to see it where I did, check the spoiler below.
Hong Xabin - Blue dragon best new actor - won Bibi - Baeksang best new actress - won Song Joong Ki - Buil film…
Thank you for sharing this. I am thrilled to see HXB won best new actor he deserved it. Also Ha Yan as Bibi. Bravo! SJK did an outstanding job of portraying a depressed, shut-down person who ran out of reasons to live.
I can't say enough great things about this movie. I just watched it a second time and changed my 9.5/10 to a 10/10.
How is she a mediocre talent nepo baby?? You must not know her talent has been since the early 90s...Do you even…
lol What a tool.
The lame "you can't criticize a professional actor unless you are a BETTER professional actor" BS is hilarious.
Bae Doona is homely, always has been, has one sour expression in all her movies, and can't act her way out of a paper bag. The only reason she is in the biz is her family and her family's professional connections. We have lots of these same nepo baby types in Hollywood. It's an old story.
This hollymoviehd.cc is a site I stumbled across only recently, and it's great. It has had almost every Asian film I have searched for there, all with subs and a good picture.
Another one I've been frequenting is onetouchtv.xyz Between the two sites, I've found a lot of films that have been on my PTW list for as long as three years. Let me know if there's anything else you haven't been able to find that you'd like to.
I didn't understand the ending, why he killed him, he just help him from getting in trouble, I feel like the main…
I just now saw this comment. I'll have to rewatch it to remember. I watch so many films that precise recall can leave my tiny mind pretty quickly. However, given the 9.5 rating I gave this , it's something I don't mind doing. I'll get back to you afterwards.
I gave it the same rating. The problem is that the filmmaker wasted time on things like a boy brushing his teeth…
Concise and eye-opening, as per usual. :)
I love that you provide context regarding genre and schools/periods/types of film-making that I otherwise lack the knowledge/words to describe. Thus, I come up with "frustrating and cliche." :D

I like age-gap plots.
Love JSP's eyes.
Love Raiden Lin's...everything. :)
Both hospital scenes were moving.
These episodes feel too brief to wait a week for. I was able to binge the first eight, so this weekly gap will be a slog for me.
Also Ha Yan as Bibi. Bravo!

But yes, I was sad to see big brother not make it.
Near-perfection.
Hong Xa Bin gets an Academy Award from me. Bravo.

She sucks. So do you.
On the up side, I find actor Huang Xiao Ming "insanely" hot. Talented too.
6.5/10
In case you haven't already finished "Hopeless," it too is on the same site:

Strange film. Most felt first-rate and professional, but major segments were tv drama quality. Acting was spotty, but mostly good.
The sex stuff and the organ stuff were not melded well into one narrative. Most of the former segments felt patched in from some other film.
Tough content but handled well.
6.5/10
"spend less time on here and unplug..."
And yet here YOU are...
I got bored with the other two.
lol When I read "...where Haruki wet himself at school..." I thought "Haruki wet his pants at school? wtf?" :D
