I STILL hate the fact that she got redeemed
Why on Earth would you "hate" that? I found it inspiring, touching, and beautiful. She is a human being who made a big mistake and was suffering for it. But, the object of her mistake, a lovely man named Akin, FORGAVE her, which is a kind, generous thing for him to do. It shows us a lot about how good-hearted a person Akin is. And the over-zealous fan learned a huge and valuable lesson. Odds are, she will tell her other Akin stan friends how awesome and lovely he was, and good things will flow in all directions from this.

That you would rather have seen her charged and convicted, her life ruined at a young age over this, says a great deal about YOU. The judgementalism and vengeful attitudes toward others I see on MDL are scary.

Not sure you care but this is based on a very popular manga/anime; and much of the storyline is what is because…
This is a live-action, fiction drama. I would rather have whoever does what to whom be determined by the writers of the drama. If Akin had been nailed by the stage actor for real in the story, obviously it would be much more interesting/dramatic/challenging/exciting than the cop-out, little "oh, it never happened" explanation we got.

It doesn't matter what I "would rather have happen." I don't look to Thai dramas for my moral lessons, nor do I run out and have random sex outside my relationship just because I saw it happen in a series.

You sound immature. Human beings are fallible and make mistakes. People have affairs outside their relationships for all kinds of reasons; that is just a fact. And in many cases, the relationship can survive and thrive thereafter. "...cheating means the person doesn't care about their partner." No, no it does not necessarily mean that. In many cases there is a temporary rift in the relationship between two people who love each other, but something happens that leads to an affair.

"...but unfortunately many times forgiveness happens which sort of shows it’s ok to cheat as your partner will forgive anyways."

This is as judgemental and evil an attitude as I've seen here, but I know a lot of MDLers think this way: Why on Earth would you NOT want there to be forgiveness and a new beginning for romantic partners who hit a bump in a road, got over it, came together closer than before and went forward together in their lives with no further extramarital problems? Why would you wish that on other people? Why wouldn't you hope their relationship survives and they get back together?

"which sort of shows it’s ok to cheat as your partner will forgive anyways."

Good heavens, you really DO look to Thai dramas for your moral lessons. All the above shows is that a partner in a fictional drama cheated, then asked for forgiveness, it was granted, and they got back together. It doesn't show that in every situation like this in the real world the exact same thing SHOULD happen or DOES happen. The relationship in the story has nothing to do with my personal choices or yours.

This is not a difficult thing to understand. Over and over again, I am flabbergasted by people like you who look to fictional stories for moral guidance, and think it's horrible if anything happens they don't approve of. Stop watching the show if it offends you. There are hundreds of dramas in which there is no cheating at all. But cheating shows up frequently in shows because it is DRAMATIC and a common human frailty most people react strongly to, either way.

OK, I am wasting my time with this, because I know your type and you're not going to change your mind, no matter how sensibly I write here. Go believe what you will about the show. But I do suggest finding a better source of moral inspiration and guidance than BL dramas.

Mmh, I can understand your criticism and I also think it doesn't always have to end in fluff, only here it really…
Do you mean viewer ratings, as in how many people see the series, or MDL ratings, which are essentially meaningless? :)

Writers and director/producers who pay attention to the opinions of screeching little MDL Church Girls are in the wrong business. Those prudes make up a very small demographic of MDL's membership but they, like their vile cousins the Netizens, are LOUD af.

There are THOUSANDS of people who lurk on this site, staying out of comment threads because they know the Church Girls will swarm them if they speak their minds. My MDL friends list is full of such people.

I would personally agree with you and say that they were incompatible from the beginning. Jin Hwan states that…
"Jin Hwan states that the difference between them makes it fun, but fails to be considerate of those differences." oooh...I like this observation. Thanks for sharing it.

I've only mentioned it once before with another commenter I was arguing with above, but when JH ambushed MJ by showing up as part of his work team without warning, did you perceive him as an arrogant, smirking jerk? Recall how he seemed to enjoy MJ's natural confusion and angst at his reappearance after eight years? He stood there, making vague allusions and suggestions, moved in close to make MJ uncomfortable, etc.

He came up behind MJ and gripped his shoulder, he rubbed his shoulders (at work!), etc. He seemed to be doing anything he could to keep MJ apprehensive and on high alert at all times. Is this how one acts upon returning to claim their first and only love? Hardly.

So, those things were either the director deliberately misdirecting the audience or JH is a jerk. I vote for the latter.

Exciting, I have a different perception of the situation. I think what you describe could be Min Jun's perception. From…
"...but suggesting self-reflection upsets you." And you know this how? I self-reflect all the time. You should see my therapy bills.

I'm breaking my commitment to not argue with you, but...how does the gender change anything? He could have been referring to a guy or a girl, or both. What matters is that from MJ's perspective, he is a player. Thus, since he didn't know the guy well anyway, he reached his conclusions and left. It's not as though MJ heard the conversation after five years of a steady relationship, in which case a chat about it would be appropriate.

Cutting off someone who seems to be a player is essential to dating and self-care. Particularly if you know yourself to be a sensitive person.

Adaptations regularly change/rearrange/eliminate all kinds of source material elements. The lame little twist I referred to above is no less lame for having been in a Manga first.

Episode 9: That was the SECOND time this plot set up an incredibly intense/dramatic situation and then copped out with a bogus, last-second, cotton candy reveal. Lame.

Toey is hot.
Boom is going on my Best BL Actors list.

Episode 8: Wow. The crazed fan/Akin subplot was powerful and well-done.
The young actress was very touching. Great depiction of how a huge number of people perceive their favorite idols, and what can happen when it goes too far.

Other than that...meh.
Lots of filler.

Episode 7: So...why set up intense, riveting conflict and drama with great acting in one episode, then pull the rug out from under it with lame "oh, it never really happened" BS in the very next episode?
Disappointing.

Nice shower scene
I'm doing lots of skipping ahead now.

Episode 6.5: Hmmm...why stick an interview with the actors in the middle of the series? I'm putting that off until I'm finished binge-watching this.

The black/white film with gold honey was beautiful.

Episode 6: Wow, this finally got interesting.

Love the evil bisexual dude. He's lighting a fire under this ice-cold plot.
I do wish the writers had come up with something more creative than the MC-gets-trashed-doing-Karaoke-then-has-sex-with-bad-person trope. But oh well...at least it got the story along to a place where it became intriguing.
Boom's acting continues to impress. Except for the drunk scene. He overdid it.

On to 6.5. I hope more bad things happen.

Episode 5: Boom's acting is what keeps me coming back.

He is exceptional in this role, especially considering he is so convincing within the limits of a cheesy Thai BL.
It's odd that Akin says he is focused on being "the greatest actor," but the script focuses on the stupid "Sexiest Man" thing, which is a silly pop-culture marketing gimmick, and Akin freaks out like he lost a Suphannahong National Film Award for Best Actor or an American Academy Award.
Oh well, lame writing.
Embarrassingly awful clothes, especially on Jin.
They were just talking about not presenting as gay in public to maintain creative viability in casting, and the next minute they're doing the hilariously cheesy cig-smoking photo shoot in extremely gay poses. lol

Billkin has always had ten times the talent and presence of PP Krit.
Comparing the talents of one performer against the talents of another is about as natural an audience reaction as there could be. "Criticism," as in "critiquing" is what audiences and "critics" do.

The commenter asserted that Billkin and PP were "both fantastic in their roles." Since I consider PP to be far less talented than Billkin, in both acting and singing, I disagreed and said so in a reply.

Replying to a comment one disagrees with is pretty natural in a comment section.

By the way, these are adult men performers, not Kindergarteners. Not everyone gets a blue ribbon regardless of the quality of their work.

I work for myself and I love what I do.
I work from home, set my own schedule and do whatever I want when I want.
The fact that annoys you is icing on the cake.

And I guarantee that if you agreed with my opinions, you wouldn't have made such a lame attempt at an insult.
