Dropping about 2/3 of the way in. WAY too many absurd contrivances taking place to lead the father to the kidnappers. Where are the cops? Why is he out doing all this police work on his own? I'm tired of rolling my eyes. Korea makes a great many awesome thrillers. This isn't one of them. It's too bad too, because I like the WAY it's being told via its visuals.
I'm a big fan of Shin Ha Kyun, but this plot is insulting my intelligence.
Meh...she's nuts and he's spineless and that's the story. Only the sex scenes kept me watching. I kept hoping it would take a dark turn toward murder, either one of them killing the other, or her husband killing them both. No such luck.
Yeah, I found her character annoying in the extreme.
I was like i know this woman's face, then realized she is Dr Cha in 2023...but not sure why she bothered with him,…
Interesting. I understood it to be exactly the reverse. She was the one who wanted to play house, in two different houses. He was very upfront about not wanting marriage. And she is the one who constantly inserted herself into his life after she was married. She's more than a bit nuts. He finally grew a bit of a spine at the end but why in hell wouldn't you get the key back...unless...?
No one, least of all Jung Wu Sung or the hot model he impregnated, gives a s**t what you or other self-righteous…
Kiss my a*s, Korean Netizen. The insane and out-size influence of your type of online panty-sniffing is gradually fading away. Jung Woo Sung and the mother of his son don't give two sh*ts for your opinion and increasingly, neither does the Korean public and entertainment industry.
JWS will take care of this child's every need as he has stated, the mom is fine with that, and that's the end of it. None of your business.
The idea that I'd be posting in a random MDL comment thread in an attempt to get JWS to "spit in my direction" is bizarre and shows you for the kind of weirdo you are.
"being nasty to me," Oh you poor dear. Someone asked you to provide links to your accusations and all you come back with is more accusations with no backup. If it's so easy to google this, then why don't you do so and link me to the articles that come up.
Claiming you can't post links here is complete bullsh*t. I do it all the time, to all kinds of online articles and films. Wow, I guess you might be a five-year-old liar.
I did google squid game cast homophobia" and several other variations of that and all that comes up are accusations against the elderly gentleman who dared to hold the hand of someone who LET him hold their hand as they walked around a lake, for god's sake.
Are you Korean? Cause you sure sound like a krazy-a*s Korean Netizen bent on character assassination.
"none of my accusations are vague" because I don't remember who I am accusing of serious infractions...typical scandal-mongering and character assassination, Netizen.
Since when do Korean production companies continue to hire actors who have been through "scandals" such as you describe?
Exactly how I feel. I'm just glad she has a mask and hat on so you can't really see her face.
Precisely. After I left the comment above it occurred to me that that could be ANYBODY in the wheelchair. On what basis does MDL even publish it, not knowing who it is; only that some scummy pap says it's the actress in question. MDL is part of the overall Korean/Asian celebrity abuse/suicide machine in this respect.
Hey, suicide dweeb, I have googled relentlessly, searching for anything about a Squid Game actor who outed someone who later killed themselves. I'm getting NOTHING after multiple tries. Provide links to factual evidence or stfu.
You haven't done anything but made vague accusations and spewed innuendo without providing a shred of evidence. You do that because you're a self-righteous dweeb who has to trash other people, especially celebrities, to make yourself feel superior.
And again, you don't have the spine to use the name of the "lead" you're accusing of causing someone to kill themselves by outing them, nor have you provided links to proof. I don't know one way or the other but at least have the balls to stand behind your hateful BS.
Furthermore, if what you say is true, how is it that the production company and Netflix had no problem with him starring in the first And second seasons of this show? In Korea, production companies dump actors at the first whif of "scandal" from vultures like you.
WTF? Was this another suicide? I guess google will tell the tale...I really don't want to find out though. On edit:…
She's a coward then. Fighting back with lawsuits is the only way to start turning this insanity around. And Koreans, his wife included, have this tendency to want to sweep the latest suicide under the rug and pretend it never happened...until the next one. And then the media pretends the entire country is "shocked and stunned," as if the new one is the first in 50 years.
I had hopes last January when the director of "Parasite" and many other powerful industry people came together and held that news conference demanding justice and reforms after LSK's death. It's been a year now. I don't see anything significant happening. Meanwhile, two more actors offed themselves in 2024. It's maddening.
WTF? Was this another suicide? I guess google will tell the tale...I really don't want to find out though. On edit:…
Korea overall has the highest rate of suicide by far of all developed countries. It's not only celebs, but it's even worse among them. Korea also has the highest rate of alcoholism of all developed countries. It's tremendously sad.
I say this as someone whose favorite movies and many BLs are Korean. That's why this continued slaughter upsets me so much.
By the way, yesterday was the one-year anniversary of the suicide of perhaps Korea's overall greatest actor, Lee Sun Kyun. His blackmailers were convicted and sentenced to THREE and FIVE years respectively a couple weeks ago. That's all. That's it. For blackmailing him for a quarter million $$$ and driving him to kill himself.
No cops or detectives have been charged for all the leaking, and likely won't be. Korean cops might be a bit more corrupt than even ours here in the U.S., and that's saying something.
I wish his widow would start suing people but I've a feeling she won't. ugh.
Wu Kang Ren' performance here is better than a lot of work American actors win Oscars for. With every film of his I discover, I am more impressed. There is no distance between him and the characters he courageously takes on. Wow.
Aviis Zhong is equally remarkable. She took me from loathing her character to wanting to comfort and protect her. Not easy to do.
Shelly Yu as the mother is outstanding as well. Just an excellent film that just went on my 30 Best list.
WTF? Was this another suicide? I guess google will tell the tale...I really don't want to find out though.
On edit: Give me a break. A 32-year-old Korean actor dies suddenly? It's suicide until I see proof otherwise. Only in Korea do healthy, young actors drop dead of mysterious, unconfirmed ailments; and only in Korea and in MDL BL threads do people accept the word of a family and production agency as to cause of death without receipts.

4/10

5/10 for the sex scenes. Otherwise maybe a 3/10.

I watched this for Wu Kang Ren but never saw him, lol. Must be an extra. :P
Overall, a great watch with beautiful, stylish visuals a storytelling.

Yeah, I don't buy the "heart attack" story. It's another suicide until I see proof indicating otherwise.

Good god...
