Question regarding the peach-fuzz mustaches so many Asian actors/characters wear in films and series: Do they, and most viewers, find those flattering and attractive?

I ask because those mustaches look like what we see here in the US when an adolescent boy tries to grow one before his beard has fully come in and thickened. I'm fully aware that most Asian men have sparse facial hair so I'm wondering why they don't just keep it shaved, rather than grow things like what we see on the police detective in this series. From some angles, it looks like he has a little bit of dirt on his upper lip. :)

Apparently, Tonkla thinks he and Korn are in a monogamous relationship or else he wouldn't have begged to go bareback, right? He'd be worried about STDs. I don't think he knows anything about Korn and Fai banging each other, do you?

You give Korn more credit than I do. My take this early on is that he's a sleaze.

Near-total mea culpa: After watching the rest of episode 1 and all of 2, I have done an almost complete 180 turn on this show. I'm enjoying the watch, and I'm impressed with a lot of the special effects and stylistic filming choices. Elements like over-the-top, bombastic choruses chanting, less-than-convincing hospital settings, etc. seem to have faded away completely in episode 2.

I still believe big-budget thrillers are best left to big-budget producers of feature films, but this is pretty remarkable for a gay-themed television series. And I am proud to say I was onto Korn's smarminess from the moment of the condom in episode 1.

I admit I grow weary of the "every man within a 5-mile radius is gay" aspect of these shows. I'd like to see one or two characters at least have to be convinced...:D

Looking forward to the rest of this. I hope it can maintain the high bar it set for itself in the first two episodes.

OK: The refusal of the top in the sex scene to NOT wear a condom even though his adorable little bitch was begging him to feed him his load...needs to be discussed. What gay man in a committed, monogamous relationship would wear a condom when his hot little partner asks him not to? wtf? It feels SO much better without one.

My first thought and continuing suspicion is that the top is cheating with some other dude or woman, even. Either way, I hope the script does something with that and we don't find out later that the exchange over the condom was nothing more than a PC safe-sex PSA.

After episode 1:

Wow. I'm going to keep watching this after all, if only for the sex scenes. :P That is the hottest damn thing I've ever seen in a BL. Felt kind of weird that we barely met Faisal and next thing we know he's heels-to-the-ceiling on the couch. lol This airs on TV in Thailand, right? Good god, this would NEVER make it onto broadcast TV in the US. Our Bible-beaters (I mean the book, not the actor) and other assorted prudes and sex-haters would lose their minds.

Did anyone else find the interaction regarding the condom...intriguing?

Also, these are the best-looking Thai leads I've seen since KinnPorsche. It seems all four of them can act as well. And I have to admit, though I find Koreans in general the hottest of Asian men, it's much appreciated to not have to look at a single bowl-cut thus far. (What IS it with Korea and those dopey bowl cuts? I read an amusing article not too long ago about how Korean-American men joke about how dorky bowl cuts are, but they all end up having one on and off throughout their lives. :D)

You "discovered" nothing. I am not a fan of any Thai BL actor other than maybe Max of Together With Me. I rarely watch Thai BLs.

My obsession is not with Build, about whom I've not had a thought in many, many months, but with the irrational, swarming, fangirling behavior that leads you to trash celebs online, engage in made-up actor feuds as if they were your personal friends, and assume that anyone who points out flaws in toxic online fan behavior must be "stanning" the actor being trashed.

Yours and the other Cats' behaviors are what has led to the suicides of countless Korean artists. It sickens me to see the same thing going down in Thailand.

I have not even thought about Build for at least nine months, since whenever it was I hunted down the facts about your treasure Build-Bible feud. For the most part, I don't watch Thai BLs due to quality issues. I can't even picture Build's face anymore, that's how much of a Build fan I am. The only Thai BL actor I could conceivably be considered a fan of is Max, of "Together With Me."
