Toki's aquiline beauty is enough reason to watch this show, but I find it interesting in that the writers have managed to combine hyper and mellow, and the result is an original/unique-feeling BL.

It may be the first fluffy-rainbows-and-unicorns BL I've liked. I sure wish they had released all the eps at once though.

Even though the cast is gorgeous, this is too boring and faux-introspective to make it worth watching just for their hotness. I'll just look at their bio photographs and spare myself the pain of actually viewing the episodes.

Hi Jolly. I'm dropping this after #2. I was going to write a bit about why in my own comment, but you've said it here far better than I could have. I get EXACTLY what you mean about Filipino BL "preachiness." They hit you over the head with their moral lessons and pride parade, ra-ra-gay! stuff a few times, and then do it once more just to be sure you got the hint. It's the primary reason I never watch Pinoy BLs unless I inadvertently hear of one being good. That hasn't happened in a very long time. lol

So I'm checking out at #2. And anything that's so bad I drop it automatically gets a 1/10 from me.

Kim Dong Wook is incredibly hot. A talented actor too.
Haven't seen anything with him in it in a while, and it's nice to have my eyeballs bathed is his beauty while watching this very good series.

Terrible. FL is annoying af.

Oh stop it. Just because a film is "based on" an incident that actually took place, does not automatically mean everything in the film is historically accurate. Film-makers invent all kinds of shit to make movies more dramatic/personably-relatable/emotional, and Chinese are notoriously prone to over-wrought propagandizing and story-tweaking when they'd do better to just tell the freaking story and stop with the flag-waving.

This is a great war film. A few cheesy bits near the end should have been cut, but pretty much a 9.5/10 from me.
