Yeah, god forbid you take the time to put your thoughts together on how this is an awesome show. That would require using your brain, which apparently is not your normal habit. Of course you don't HAVE to do such a thing, but most intelligent people don't mind, you know, THINKING.

The hilarious and charming new Japanese BL, Sahara Sensei to Toki-kun, is being dragged on its MDL page by idiots accusing it of promoting "pedophilia." lol I don't know whether to laugh or cry, so I do both.

People here latch onto sexually-related terms they have little to no understanding of, and then start to toss them around in an effort to appear righteous. "Pedophilia" by definition includes a pre-pubescent CHILD, not a post-puberty teenager. There are questions of appropriateness and professionalism in Sahara Sensei to Toki-kun, but there is NO pedophilia. hahaha Morons.

Hey Sandy, did you know people move to other countries all the time? Every day, even. No...really! It's just a fact that the Korean and Japanese film industries are FAR more advanced, productive, and prolific than whatever goes on in Thailand, which is mostly nothing when it comes to movies. They're too busy pumping out lame BLs twice a week to make quality films.

You might want to shut your trap regarding what I do or do not think about what comes out of SEA and why, Sandy. When I first discovered BL and Asian cinema three years ago, ALL my favorite BLs were Thai. Even today, eight of the BLs on my Top 30 list are Thai. So what does THAT say about me, Sandy? It's not my fault Thailand stopped making good BLs. Moonlight Chicken was the last watchable one.

Because I watched the first episode and dropped it TODAY. Should I come back and engage three weeks from now? Is there some reason I shouldn't engage at all today because I already dropped it? I already covered this in my last comment.

I don't care who you engage with, that's up to you. Do you expect every commenter to do what you do? Why do you expect me to engage with only people who think exactly like I do? Is that YOUR thing?

But what do you consider "hating on one?" If a person enjoys a show, then it's on them if they let negative comments "spoil" their watch. No one is entitled to a comment section free of comments they disagree with or that hurt their feelings about a show. Believing you ARE entitled to such a thing shows a high level of immaturity. As Taylor Swift so wisely said, "Shake It Off," baby.

If negative comments about a show upsets someone who likes it, then their positive appraisal is pretty insecure in the first place. If I like a show and keep watching, who gives a shit if someone else keeps watching and trashes every episode? So what? Who cares? Why does it matter? No one has to "leave" if they don't want to. "Hate watching" is a real thing.

I watched this first episode and it's awful, despite my affection for New. So I dropped it, trashed its rating and won't be commenting further. But that's just me.

Disagree. They totally cut any physical expressions of physical intimacy in a show ABOUT A GUY WHO READS OTHER PEOPLE'S THOUGHTS BECAUSE HE IS 30 YEARS OLD AND HASN'T BEEN PHYSICALLY INTIMATE YET. That's a pretty big fuck-up. No hugging, no kissing, and definitely NO banging, which is supposed to have been what freed the main character from his magic/affliction. He lost his CHERRY, for god's sake. Only you'd never know it from watching the Japanese version. Maybe one possible good thing about this Thai effort is will be that TayNew will go at it like two gay boys should.

A lot of good BLs out of Japan, but Cherry Magic/Japan is like a censored Chinese bromance.

The sound editing of Achi reading thoughts is kind of a HUGE thing to dislike about a show about a guy who reads other people's thoughts.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with comparing and contrasting different adaptations of a common source material. It's only been being done for centuries.

8.2 for ITSAY IS way too low, I agree. I rated it a 10/10 and I hand out very few 10s. However, on a 10 point scale, how is 7.6 considered "low?" It is average and this show is below average so far.

To me, the exact opposite of what you say is true: When it comes to dramas, MDL ratings are way too HIGH. Movies are generally way too low, if they're good. Way too many Western little girls and SJWs here, loving on Thai garbage. I would have thought this pos would be a 9.5/10 after that awful first episode.
