I don't know where the plot is going, but this is adorable so I'll give my blessing. Bar manages to nail being cute despite his rather masculine appearance.
But I think Gun is wearing his pants too high up. Or maybe his torso is just short. Or his arms too long. I could swear the proportion of his university clothes is off... The one that he wears for the date is fine.
Every time someone in the serie talks about tossakan as handsome as the hottest and most handsome boy in the school…
Could it be because of his skin tone? I think his tone is whiter than the rest of them (like here: https://www.facebook.com/ENofLoveofficial/videos/837881556733297/ , his skin is lighter than the rest, no?). It's dumb I know, but that's my only guess. I do agree that Bar is better looking.
In Indonesia this series isn't available in both YouTube and WeTV; WeTV has regional restrictions of its own and this series simply doesn't show up if you try to search for it here. You'd have to use VPN to connect to a country that doesn't have WeTV to watch it through YouTube, or connect to a country that have this series in their WeTV.
I enjoyed it okay, I guess. The ending seemed kind of... thrown together without much thought. Is it just me,…
That's because the characters don't have a lot of depth, so we see them in these fluffy and possibly sexy relationships, but we don't see how they form and transform their emotional bond.
I mean, Yuan #2, Yuan #3, and their respective bfs end up where they begin, but this time kissing. Meanwhile, korean Yuan and his bf have a personality shift in the finale that's way to sudden.
Now that it ends, I'm glad every couple gets a kiss scene. None of them actually clarify what their relationships are - with Jun Cheng being the only one that plainly declared his love - so the ending does leave it opens for sequel (pretty please?).
As for the script, it feels... fanfiction-y (not in a bad way) because of how short it is. Have you ever read a fanfiction where the main couple goes from enemies to domestic in, like, 4 chapters, every conflict is resolved within 150 words, and every chapter ends with a cheesy/comedic flirting? Yeah, it feels like that. If it has a longer screentime surely the plot will develop deeper, but I enjoy it this way too.
The problem with the teaser is that it shows 4 variations of the 'jealousy/he already has someone' conflict — it gives the impression that the entire series is just them taking turns getting jealous.
Given that this is a rare non-school series, I hope that the characters have something else going on beside their romantic drama. Otherwise, they might end up one-dimensional.
Episode 8 is cute. They have to do a triple date for the finale now (a sober one this time). I can imagine the dynamics already, and it'll be fun. Like, they need to do a scene where Yan Yue is low-key fanboying over Lin Xun in person, to the dismay of their respective husbands.
Other than that, I'm looking forward to Love Mechanics next week.

His photos actually aren't bad, so maybe he's just more photogenic than he is videogenic.
I actually only just realized that Bon & Duen is a classic tsundere x naive guy pairing.
Edit: fully subbed now.
Bohn & Duen (obviously)
Boss & Mek (quiet husband & cheeky wife of the engineering faculty)
'God' King (Bohn's friend) & Ram (Duen's friend; he appears briefly in class when Duen is looking for engineering building)
Dr. Thara from the hospital & Fronk (Bohn's rival)

Yuan #2 is a hopeless idiot, but that gives us a cute scene so I'm not complaining. Too bad we probably won't get a kiss scene between him and his bf.
And we will get a triple date in ep 10. That's nice.
Also, next episode we'll get a kiss! The Korean Yuan though; he acts all confident but when it actually happens, he's the one getting gay panic. XD
