凡人 (starring yang yang) is their biggest ip atm, and that is tentatively slated for end july. with national broadcasting dramas gearing up for the 2nd half of the year, and no costumes for youku as of now, it’s quite likely they’re pushing rqy to air asap in order to fill the gaps in between
and as for editing well for a drama that ended production in jan i do wish they take time w it lol
if the gua is remotely true youku seems to be throwing rqy under the bus cause wdym ur just airdropping it 😭 wrapped in jan too oh the editing not even done fr
ep 13 …. the mom needs serious psychological help she clearly has had unresolved issues stemming from qby which…
@brownkudiii on x a friend on there told me that you’ve apparently copied this random ass comment on a post that immediately got deleted once she called u out on it sooooo if ur lurking hi im flattered u think my word vomit is worth all that 💀
He does in the novel but we dk if he does in the drama.
ohhh do you mind sending it to me? :) dw i’ve read the novel so i know the spoilers haha but i’m so interested in the changes since the reuters have them on a motorcycle which. considering what happens in the novel seems to be a deviation
ep 13 …. the mom needs serious psychological help she clearly has had unresolved issues stemming from qby which is understandable and she’s a victim of patriarchy too but jesus the way she treats qqy (for rightfully standing up for her own sister) is just. way too awful and lowk crossing the line here even as a parent
probably contrary to the would be popular belief but i think the conclusion made sense for the way the show was set up - a first for gjm.
my main problem is actually the way they slap an ost over pretty much every scene. it’s like they decided to run through the entire album and it gets so tiring after awhile. the ost finishes and boom another one comes, how am i supposed to focus on the impact of the scene when i feel like i’m at a concert instead
i’m going to be honest: i hope some of you start watching the show more carefully or at least think through first.
all the marquis comments baffled me because while he is indeed annoying at times and extremely dumb, he didn’t know about the bracelet and its effects. and in ep20 he pretty much does the right thing.
i was so confused as to why everyone acted as if he was the typical scheming villain when he was just as lost as anyone else. in fact, it’s pretty much explained in the show so i’m not sure if people were watching a different episode or? yall need to learn to let arcs develop.
For you, what happened to Ziqi so she didn't confessed her love to Ling Miao Miao to think he's preparing all…
yeah pretty much. i’m not too fond of the misunderstanding arc that comes with all dramas but here it does seem to make sense.
he already has so many insecurities and it’s been made pretty clear it took him a lot of reflection and trust to confess using such big gestures. miao miao assumes the declaration she saw was by him, he lashes out = misunderstanding part 1.
then you add on miao miao most likely being enchanted by the bracelet, meaning her actions wouldn’t match with her actual feelings aka pulling away from him when he’s in demon form. it’s all a recipe for disaster.
It's so funny to see people breaking down in defense after seeing AvenueX's review for Yong Ye Xing He.https://youtu.be/DxT17UmC6N4?si=qmoYCmTCB7BSQVLwI…
AvenueX is not a benchmark for how good a cdrama is and i wish more international fans understood that. If she liked it, good for her. If she didn’t, that doesn’t mean you aren’t entitled to your own opinion.
Moreover, she shits on basically every idol drama actor there really isn’t any bias involved lol.
In episode 14, although it's funny and watching Liu Fu Yi for Mu Yao. Ling Miaomiao unconsciously does what Ling…
could that be why ep 18. is unfolding the way it is? because she’s reverting back into her novel counterpart? i do like the theory that she’s becoming more immersed in the actual storyline of the novel.
the perception of demons in this world seems heavily skewed and unjust imo
you have cuicui who completely harmless and adorable—who could he possibly threaten? not only that, he was willing to risk his life to save lmm and ms, also proving to muyao that he's an innocent. (& why she had no issues letting him tag along afterwards)
then we have the water demons who were minding their own business until the demon catchers started harassing them. sure, they’re cast as antagonists in the story, but they’re not out to dominate the world or cause unending suffering like your typical villains in xianxias. they really just wanted to be left alone
and then there's mu sheng. he's just socially awkward and deeply lonely, having only one person in his life he can truly rely on. (but even then it’s conditional because he’s certain that if she knew he was a demon, she'd abandon him) he internalises that hatred stemming from years of being bullied and conditioned to hate his own kind. yeah he has his yandere moments but he’s not actively attempting to kill every human on sight
so it’s not really “demons are #evil” as much as it’s them literally just not being the same as humans in terms of ability, but they aren’t born inherently bad or good either it’s not completely black and white
the premiere had ysx dressed in modern office attire while the rest were in costume and the one today in bangkok had her in costume while the rest in modern attire

also each time he loses control he always asks the same question for reassurance, so it must hurt more because he’s gotten comfortable with hearing no
i like how she’s subconsciously defying it though, like when she reached out anyway or whatever she wrote on the paper

i can’t really dislike the rival(ish) love interest atm he’s too much of a dumb moron but a funny one at that
that kiss scene (technically not) got me both internally screaming and dying of laughter at the same time lmao

such a nice way to reference the main plot!
