I just finished to read the book now… what I can say is that the series is slightly different from the novel,…
It is in the same universe as Manner of death. Boss wasn't doing the killings in the book,he was an accomplice of the Director. Dr Kan killed the director in the book. He went to jail for 8 years for killing the Director but not for the Euthanasia. In these 8 years Wasan had no contact with him. After his release Wasan forgave him and they are together. He is no longer a doctor as his medical license has been taken away . He plans to open a coffe shop. At the end he gets a mail from someone requesting Euthanasia from him. He shows this mail to Wasan, and Wasan says don't you have to go and help. It ends like that. This is from the summary of what I read happens at the end.

Yeah prefer this more too,I mean sure if they had 10 episodes and some more emotional moments I would be happier but yeah I prefer tbos over the immediate sleeping together as well, for this story.

Yeah Wasan wants to be intimate with him only after he has cleared his doubts and fulfilled his investigation, so I got why he didn't kiss him then. I like this narrative. I get why he isn't crossing that step yet. I just want to know how it will all come to end in the final episode. I am so eager for it 😭

Very much so, I really don't understand people describing them as having zero chemistry. Seems to me like they want the adult settings only for the romance but not the adult or serious storylines.

I am honestly really glad that the issue of Euthanasia wasn't used just as a backdrop. Many BL dramas try to show a serious premise as a backdrop but ultimately there's no depth to the issue or setting, it's just a setting for the romance. While those can be enjoyable too , I didn't want it for a topic such as this one. I have also seen some posts on tumblr too saying they have zero chemistry ,that even bromances have better chemistry than them, that they seem awkward with each other and I just couldn't agree with that at all.
Such a great series. I hate that it is criminally underrated on MDL.
It's a heavy subject matter I guess, some people are finding it difficult and some novel readers don't seem to like it all that much. I personally really like it a lot, sometimes I do like melancholic, angsty and grim stories. I loved the performances from all the actors as well.
