Act cool, use to said only few words, and repeated it. It was good acting? ROFL
It doesn't matter to me if it's hit or flop, if he only does supporting acting, or less screen time roles, I really only care about good acting and he gave that to me here, I have appreciated his support roles back from Ordinary Glory. I am glad though that he was finally noticed here. I don't care about popularity and endorsements or whether he is the lead or not. He did his job well and he understood the character and added layers to it. That was noticed by people. You people just keep dismissing everything about him by calling it either antis comments or his toxic fans comments, when wdx doesn't even have nearly as many fans or fandom as YY. Also tbh the way you keep mentioning weibo as if every single person there has no brains and all the popularity he got is only because of water armies is frankly too funny.

Keep believing what you want to believe doesn't change the reality. There's been articles published now, how c netizens are tired of just traffic stars with less acting skills, specifically talking about this drama. I will link it to you

If only you would go about looking at actual good actors then yeah you would get it. It's okay to be a fan of someone but it's not a good thing to be so unrealistic about who acts well and who doesn't

Wei Daxun was praised because of his acting, he became popular because people liked his work, he became so popular that they literally cut out and edited many of his scenes to tone down his popularity, that did not work. That in fact lead to more push back. Having now read all of the spoilers, I am going to drop this drama now, because some of the plot is so ridiculous, I can't even form words. Anyway I still rated it 7 because I liked some aspects of it up to a certain point.

Hidden Love.
I am watching Imperfect Victim, so far the cast is giving stellar performances and the story is quite interesting and complex.

I don't condone it either, I have studied genetics, I know in breeding and marrying within blood relation can cause genetic defects. My only point is to show this culture exists, adopted siblings relationship can be acceptable to some. Doesn't mean I have to like it or support it. And in this drama they don't even entertain it but people keep making such big deals about why anyone ships them, they then become unreasonable in hatred towards a character that doesn't deserve as much hate. I have never supported the adopted sibling relationship in this drama but that doesn't mean I have to hate on people who do, it's all fictional ultimately. The canon will always be what the majority here wants, that will never change, why can't we just let people like what they like. Ship and let ship, that's harmless, but people go to great lengths to take personal attacks on anyone that wants or like the adopted sibling ship, that feels unfair to me. Judging someone's character for shipping something is uncalled for.

I can tell you this has absolutely happened, when I was studying, doing my Masters in Bengaluru, one girl from Biotechnology used to come to class with her cousin, they were in the same class, she used to call him brother , a few years after we graduated, she got married to him. It absolutely happens you need a reality check if you do not know this. I can link you data if you do not believe me.

Whatever the case of joint family or cousin marriage it doesn't have anything to do with adopted entity marriage,…
I am not Muslim, I don't know about their customs , I do know that series where the adopted girl was married to the second son of the family. And like adopted at least do not have blood relations, first cousins are absolutely blood related. So pray tell how you can say cousins marriage has nothing to do with adopted.

I want to make something really clear here, cause I know there are a lot of Indian viewers here, let me tell you that in the Bengali tv series Jai Kali Kalkattawali, the FL became the wife of the 2nd son of the joint family that she grew up in . This is a female centric drama and the fact that the series starts when she is already married to him, and they keep mentioning she grew up in that family. So no it's not unlikely or unacceptable to be seen on screen here in India. Also you can Google and learn that in southern India people do get married to cousins , even first cousins. Yeah I know it might seem weird if you do not know this culture but that doesn't mean it doesn't exist. As far as the series goes no I absolutely do not ship MYC with XQ but those of you making such a big deal about adopted siblings etc, know that this culture can exist even if you find it creepy or uncomfortable. As an Indian there are plenty of wetseen cultures that I find creepy and uncomfortable too.

Sure you can, just don't call people creepy and use puking emoji, and say people are immoral, the kids you mentioned grew up in Western culture first learn to respect other cultures even if you find it uncomfortable, you don't have to agree at all but know not every culture is the same. Keep that in mind.

Then don't care about others pov, focus on your own. Not everyone will watch the drama the way you see it.

Not triggered and yes you have every right to say what you want but when you make separate posts ridiculing people, because people don't see your pov as the ultimate you need to be called out.

You are the one that's being hateful. I am not shipping the brother with XQ but I am also objective about the fact that customs and cultures are different in different parts of the world. You don't seem to have basic understanding of that. I have seen you regularly on this comments section, being hateful. I am from India and yes in Indian culture in some states cousins do get married. It's different everywhere. Why do you feel so insecure when you know SY and XQ are going to be endgame, they have the love scenes, they have the most screen time, and they are the leads. This doesn't take away other people's right to ship what they ship. Them shipping and making edits of their preferred ship is not going to change the drama. Why is it so important to dictate how anyone should view something? You people keep bringing up how much people hate and bully YY and hate on SY when you do the exact same thing to Daxun and the character he plays and frankly that character doesn't even desereve that.

After every new episode that's aired, it's mandatory to hate MYC don't you know, and these same people keep talking about hate and bullying.

So adoptive siblings are not siblings according to you?
It's actually not as taboo in cdrama or movies, if you watch the movie Sky on Fire, which isn't exactly a great movie or anything but the arc there is also the adopted brother was in love with the adopted sister, though he wasn't like MYC, he was willing to walk away if being with the other guy made the sister happy, ultimately the girl also had feelings for him and they were shown as endgame. The movie stars big actors like Daniel Wu, Joseph Chang and Zhang Ruoyun. It's not as taboo to see something like this in their culture. Tbh the adopted girl in a joint family can get married to any of the sons in Indian culture too. In Indian culture, in southern India people even can get married to their cousins. Cultures and perceptions are different everywhere.

Wei Da Xun doesn't have a strong fanbase to be honest, all those hyping and defending him are drama viewers, netizens…
I definitely agree with you, I did have problems with YY's acting as I mentioned in my post some days back but I was immediately called a hater. I just feel in many of the scenes you can understand the script tells you the emotional depth for the character of SY but he fails to make me feel it. This is probably an unpopular opinion and I am not exactly looking for over the top acting, I just want depth. I guess his acting didn't work for me. Wheras Daxun's does, even in that limited screen time it does, cause it feels like he understands what he is supposed to do in that role.
