When Da Da said that it wouldn't be just her and Young Goo, but a third person as well, I legit thought "IS SHE PREGNANT" and thought for a few seconds about how that was impossible for too many reasons. Then she said the third person was her dad and I...felt like an idiot to the infinite degree lmao
I blame Young Goo for bringing up sexy times too much; my brain has been infected.
Oofff when he announced to the press that he's been with Dada for 7 years, WTF, what a self-centered dick. All…
Exactly! What is this, the Ma Wang Joon Show? Where's my cheesy romance? What happened to seeing Young Goo shoot finger hearts like a complete ball of sugar? Honestly, I have to give credit to Jong Hyun. I've never despised a second lead as much as I'm hating his character. The way he talks and knits those arrogant and angry eyebrows is just so dang annoying LOL I wish that Zero Ten stuck around for a little longer because that would've been so hilarious.

Yesssss, what a numbskull, seriously. He needs to get off his high horse and realize that even if someone flings Young Goo into the sun, that won't automatically make Da Da like Wang Joon again. What does he hope to achieve by announcing it at this point? Magical reconciliation? Do you know if they cut both versions? I see you said before that SBS broadcasts longer episodes, so maybe they just want to shorten the broadcast version. TBH, I hope they cut it down in general because I'm getting really sick of seeing Wang Joon talk crap at poor Young Goo and ignore all of Da Da's feelings.
Every time Da Da doesn't flip out whenever Wang Joon opens his mouth, I have to remind myself that she had the patience to deal with him for seven whole years. Then I start questioning how she managed to survive those seven years because the guy has the brain and emotional capacity of a snail.
By the end of this drama, I want to see Young Goo suplex Ma Wang Joon while Da Da suplexes Diana in the background. Only then will I be 100% satisfied.
A week of lovely episodes! I've been having an exhausting couple of days and sitting down to watch all of this unfold has been such a relief. I'm so glad with how Jin Goo's acting is coming through more now; you can really see that Young Goo is different depending on who he's with. It's extremely interesting to see him switch modes when it comes to Da Da, whereas he's a perfect robot with Diana. I'm a little bit concerned from the episode preview that there'll be some noble idiocy going on. But I'm hoping that since Wang Joon did the same "sacrifice" nonsense, Da Da will be so sick of it that she'll be the one to stop it from happening with Young Goo. Ooh, I can't wait!
As someone of Chinese ethnicity, I feel like I should be somewhat more insulted by the jjajangmyeon guy, but I can't stop laughing LOL
More seriously, I'm hoping that the writers begin to wrap up this blackmail arc within tomorrow's episodes, or at the very least stop trying to get us to sympathize with Wang Joon to such an extent. I feel bad for him, but ultimately if he cannot put down his pride and tell Da Da about it and/or actually report to the police like a sane human being, then he's just reaping what he sowed.
I'm nervously excited for when Diana meets Young Goo. She's the most intriguing character and I really want to know her backstory with the boy that Young Goo's appearance is based on. That being said, if the resolution of this drama is Da Da getting together with that boy, I will be devastated.
And I'm so gonna get an eye roll for this but I don't find an issue with YJG and Minah's acting.Like this scene…
Agreed, YJG's acting is nice. I could do with a bit more robotic awkwardness in the beginning, but considering that his purpose is to express "emotions" toward a girlfriend, I'm okay with it as is.
Seems like a lot of people aren't enjoying this, and while I can certainly see where the criticism is coming from, I'm thoroughly having a really good time watching it so far. Despite it not being revolutionary in plot or acting, I think it's a fun and refreshing departure from the original story. Altogether, it's making the "young maiden" side of my heart sing.
I'm very interested in what direction the writers will decide to go when addressing Young Goo and Da Da's relationship toward the end. I am also concerned about it, but I'm trying hard to pretend that a robot-human relationship is 100% unproblematic. For now, this is foolishly entertaining and I'm really liking it!
Unless there are massive reparations done in the beginning of 13, I don't think I can appreciate this drama as I did before.
Noble idiocy doesn't fit here at all. In some shows, at least you can somewhat understand why it would happen. But here, it's glaringly a ploy to create some more random conflict to fill the next several episodes. Why would the writers choose to abruptly cut off the stalker arc (something clearly crucial to YS's character) and put this in instead?
In terms of JR's character, it doesn't fit. He and YS always communicated about their feelings. Though acting clearly means a lot to YS, it is NOT his decision to make for her to "properly" return to the spotlight, especially not after she specifically told him that he made her happier than acting and that she would be okay with their relationship being publicized. I think that out of anyone, JR should understand best the importance of allowing your partner make their own decisions about their own feelings. Hell, he even told her manager like ten minutes before the end of the episode that he would not be the one to bring up the topic of breaking up. We just gonna pretend that didn't happen?
I'm so sad and disappointed that the writers decided to take this route. It's such a letdown after how special this drama was before. Bah. :(
When creepy stalker man gets out of his car: o no When Lawyer Kwon goes to confront him, looking angry and very attractive: o yes When creepy stalker man smirks: o HELL NO
I'm so not ready for things to hit the fan, but I have confidence that this won't magically transform into the melodrama genre for the second half. Their relationship's already so well-established. Ugh. My heart can't take it.
Awesome! I've always wanted a recommendation list since I'm constantly searching for new dramas but oftentimes don't even know what I'm looking for lol.
