About NTV and idols... There's an NTV late-night Saturday slot that's been filled by dramas starring young Johnny's and Johnny's Jr. (and sometimes AKB48 girls) since 2012. (According to Wikipedia it was previously a variety show slot, and before that a more general late-night drama slot.) Around the airing of the first of those idol dramas there was an NTV documentary called "The Truth About Johnny's Jr." which was interesting despite being pretty much a Johnny's Jr. promotional. (Actually it's interesting partly because it was so promotional, but that's a very different topic. xD) So because of this I was cynical about the quality of any drama airing in this timeslot and refused to watch them, until 49 proved me wrong last season. But that was more to do with the wonderful Nojima Shinji screenplay than the starring idols.
I know, I make it sound like I'm obsessed with this one particular NTV slot when Johnny's talents are in every corner of the media, and NTV produces a lot of very good dramas with actor actors anyway. xD It's not even necessarily a bad thing that they have their own timeslot. In fact it's good, since Johnny's Jr. receive no acting lessons from their agency. They've got to be trained up somewhere, so they're better off in kitschy late-night idol vehicles than wreaking havoc in potentially good prime-time dramas. Although that sometimes happens too. xD But In the Room really should have been a proper full-length drama.

xD I like making people laugh. Disclosing my potential conflict of interest first, there are four Kansai Jr. in SHARK (including one of my biases =D), so I'll find something to be positive about no matter how bad it is or isn't. xD It's predictable and the acting isn't all that great, but it's short, fast-paced, and music-themed. For defining factors... the main character is the hot-headed, passionate type, it's somewhat episodic (one character's problems per episode), and it has that typical Japanese "coming together/working together" theme.
And I noticed you've been watching Hana Kimi? How are you finding it?
I had Titanic on VHS too. I remember I got a 5-disc limited edition DVD version for my birthday when DVDs were still new-ish, but I have no idea where went.
xD Missed chances are the worst.
Moyashimon was weird. xD And I like weird, but flying, talking germs is a bit much for me.
There really wasn't enough of In the Room to make my mind up. None of the patients' stories had conclusions, and the two (connected) patients I was most interested in sort of disappeared halfway through. xD Also, the ending was very, very strange to me, so I made up my own significance for it that was probably never intended.
The American version is called In Treatment. It's a good watch if you find psychotherapy, or just one-on-one dialogue interesting.

Thanks for the friend request. =) Judging by your list you prefer Korean dramas?
Haven't seen it, but just reading the synopsis, "after her death, he becomes autistic". What?
I'm sorry to have been all off-topic and persistent, but the belief that autism is caused by up-bringing/something that happened in childhood is unhelpful. Parents feel like failures or child-abusers, other people might look at them as such, and the idea that an autistic person can be "fixed" (like with other disorders, as far as they can be "fixed") is dangerous. An autistic person would've been an autistic person regardless.
(I only watched the first episode, but as far as I could tell they didn't specifically say he was autistic, so that was fine by me. I just didn't like all the melodrama. xD)
It went too deep if it was supposed to be just a snapshot into a counsellor's room, and not deep enough if it was intended to be something more. It's not possible to build up and expose the depths of so many characters in a 12 episode 20 minute slot.
I usually don't give a damn about romance, but all I wanted was a Hiroki/Nozomi hug...

I give nicknames to a lot of dramas. xD
According to my list, Guests of Room 0 at 22 episodes, but they were only 5 minutes each. So Innocent Man at 20 episodes I guess.
Some of the dramas in your list are really long! How do you keep the motivation to finish them?

Ahh, the alien drama? It sounds pretty good but 21 episodes is a lot for me. xD

Watching Shinryouchuu/In the Room now, which I dropped ages ago but decided to give another try. I have a thing for short school dramas at the minute. xD What are you watching?

That's what weekends are for. xD
Kamen Teacher because it was short and I felt like watching a not-serious school drama. But I have a sort of phobia of masks/helmets so it took a few episodes to get into it.

That sounds like fun. xD
I'm... feeling lazy. xD This is the first weekend I've done nothing but marathon a drama for a long time.

Being amused by the small things is what makes everyday life exciting. =D
Well, when you put it that way... xD I'm usually pretty satisfied with J-drama endings, but the more reviews of Korean dramas I read, the more scared I am to actually finish them. It seems a lot of complaints are about endings being rushed or drawn out or not fitting in some way.
Ahh, I see I'm not explaining this very well. xD No, Kanjani8 have nothing to do with this, besides being the senpai group of Johnny's WEST. WEST will be only the second ever debuted group made up of Kansai Jr. since Kanjani8's debut 10 years ago, which is one reason why I'm so excited. I can take or leave the Tokyo Jr. but I have a special affection for those Kansai boys.

In that case I've rewatched the "best" parts of Titanic many, many times. xD
Anime can be awesome though. xD But that reminds me, back in the day my friend used to bring the most awful yaoi manga (ie full of rape and incest and student/teacher relations) to school and curious people would borrow it and read it during breaks. I think it scared a lot of them away from manga/anime for life.
To get on my dropped list either I have to have watched a drama to about halfway, or it has to be so interesting I want to remember it even if I don't want to watch it all (like Moyashimon xD). Shinryouchuu/In the Room is an exception. I've seen a lot of the American version and it doesn't compare, but thinking about it now, I do want to give it another chance. Going off on a tangent, but it's the one drama for which I can't forgive NTV for turning into an idol vehicle. A Japanese version could've been incredible with some skilled actors in the cast, and if they'd made the script a lot less high-school melodrama. =/
If it were true I could become some sort of cold-reading fake psychic. xD
I can't wait for Kis-My-Ft2 songs to sound as dated as old KAT-TUN songs.

I feel a bit bad for thinking it, but for this type of drama I expect death or some sort of unhappiness at the end. I don't like things tied up too nicely.
The only examples I can think of are Koishite Akuma with vampires, and Youkai Ningen Bem with monsters. In J-drama it seems the fantasy is surrounded by a sense of realism, as if the fantastical elements are made to interact with the real world. In the K-dramas I've seen the fantasy world is more fully developed and can stand on it's own.
It means they'll be one new band, but they won't be Johnny's Jr. anymore. The best way to explain the concept of Johnny's Jr. is "a very public training phase". Once they're debuted they'll promote as a group instead of part of (Kansai) Johnny's Jr. They'll release CDs and do concerts under their own group name, which will be Johnny's WEST (terrible name I know...). Basically it means they're no longer trainees and will finally release music. =)

xD I hope you enjoy it. Feel free to ask if there's anything that needs explaining.
There really is no coming back from that one. I did go to see the anime movie at an independent cinema's anime night but I fell asleep on my friend's shoulder, so it doesn't count as rewatching. xD
Ahh, I suppose it makes sense that anybody would opt out of an oral. I'll try not to feel so bad about it. =)
It's a nice way to spend time with her, and I always try to encourage drama-watching in even the unlikeliest of candidates. xD
I think BnIJ will be one of those dramas that gets dropped without gaining a place on my dropped list, so I definitely don't recommend it.
My system confuses even me though. xD
I've thought about it, and both Fukuyama and Matsuda Shota point to a playful-clever yet mature intellectual type, if that makes sense at all. (Mostly influenced by their Galileo and Liar Game roles, I guess.) xD
Yes, the children were so unforgiving of poor Tottsu, but they really liked Goseki's attempt. xD Idols plus kids always makes funny TV.
I'll reveal my magic. =) I only discovered it recently. Just right-click on the video while it's playing and choose "Copy URL at current time" then paste.

No. Autism and the effects of childhood trauma are not the same thing, although they may look similar.
