Thought so... That helps, thanks. Here I go I guess. I feel like I've done nothing but watch problem kid stuff recently.
And actually, what do you think of The Quiz Show 2? It's not the best but it's one of my favourites.

I will. Is it absolutely necessary to watch them in order? Because I kinda just want to watch 3 first.
What do you think of Bakaleya by the way? It's nearing the top of my to-conquer list and I'm a bit wary of it...

Ahh, that's a nice memory. And fan friends are nice. Some girls in my Japanese class like Korean dramas but I find them hard to get into. I do have a friend who tolerates me going on and on about idols though.
I'll put them on my list. I've ignored Tumbling forever and I'm not even sure why. I've ignored Gokusen forever actually. I should really get round to that...

Kimi wa Petto is on your favourites list, so I'll say Love Shuffle. They're not that similar other than both being romantic comedies (and I'm really picky about rom-coms) but they gave me the same feeling while I was watching.
For police dramas, Keizoku 2 - SPEC was really addictive. Family dramas... Hikari to Tomo ni which deals with autism without it becoming a tragedy, and my stealth favourite drama of last year, 49, which is a bit over the top but really lovely once it gets round to it.

I have a fear of masks and helmets so tokusatsu is no-go for me. I really really hated Power Rangers when I was young. xD I'm actually going through a school drama phase at the minute so I thought, hey, let's watch Kamen Teacher, it can't be that bad... Nope, I watched it all in one go to get it over with.
I like friends/family dramas too. I especially like dramas centred around mothers and children, but anything to do with family is good. And tragedies... I like it when everybody dies. =/ I'm morbid.

I hate random romance. People complain there's not enough romance in Japanese dramas. There's plenty, just they don't shove it in where it's not needed.

Half my free time is reserved for keeping up with idols. It's a curse... But yeah, I don't watch a lot of movies but Japanese TV is my main entertainment. I haven't watched a good UK drama since this time last year.

Ahh, Akanishi left when I was no longer a fan, and I'm not a fan in particular now, but damn I miss Koki. He was always interesting.

I'm glad you liked Shinya Shokudo. The second season is exactly like the first season, so yes, it's just as good. =)
My favourite was the enka singer episode. Maybe it's partly because I like enka, and the song throughout was beautiful, but that story really got to me. I rewatch it every now and again.
I recently finished Mayonaka no Panya-san and if you want something similar it's probably a good bet. Not quite as melancholic as Shinya Shokudo, more like on the sweet side of bittersweet, but it does share the theme of people being connected by food.

Yep, it might be one of my favourite of their PVs. =D Or I just like to see pretty men fighting, Idk.
I'm looking forward to seeing Ueno Juri, Oguri Shun, Sato Takeru and Nino in new dramas but I'm sick of detective…
I follow the NTV late-night Saturday slot, which has been reserved for Johnny's Jr. and young Johnny's every season since Spring 2012. But I've never really noticed them taking up other slots with starring roles. The only one I can think of from last year is Pin to Kona. But it is annoying when they keep popping up in random student roles. You've got a classful of bad acting to deal with then.

Johnny's Jr. will be in at least one drama next season.

Yeah, I prefer interaction between characters. Japanese dramas get wordy.
What kind of genre and theme are you looking for?

I kinda like Japanese moralising, but only if it's an overall moral. Don't like those school dramas where there's a moral to be learned after every episode. Unless I'm in a Byker Grove sort of mood I guess. xD

Wow, that last part turned into quite an essay. I probably gave you worse than a two decades long list of dramas. xD I have no idea why I have such strong feelings about this subject. Incidentally, SHARK is one of these NTV late-night idol dramas. Make of that what you will. xD
I think the average length of K-dramas colours my judgment about endings. If I'm going to invest 20 hours into watching something I want a good ending, whereas with shorter dramas I'm more willing to just enjoy the ride.
