Don't just go by the comments here. It's better to watch and judge for yourself. It's only the comments section here that makes the drama seem really bad but it's not. Check yt and wb comments instead. You can also check twt. Sure a lot of things could be better like the editing ( which I am told that does eventually get better after about 8 episodes) and the pacing..and it also didn't have huge budget...but it has plenty of positives too. Some of it is actually based on real events, like the rescue missions and even some of the romance. So people complaining that it's not realistic doesn't even know what they are talking about. It's based on the experience of a real firefighter and actors actually lived and trained with firefighters and doctors for weeks. Domestically people are finding the tips given at the end of each epi really useful and the realistic portrayal of rescue missions also got praised.

Well of course it's the fans. Everyone including GJ knows he isn't a very good singer. But he's improving. He sings for himself and his fans and more and more people love it because they find it adorable and sees his effort to sing better and this time even non-fans are appreciating it because there is a marked improvement.

And in case you didn't know, WOH concert was a family event, for the Shanren family. The cast members singing is what made it special. Otherwise it would just a be concert. I suppose you missed the entire point behind it.

Ok so I was listening to Tian Ya Ke today (the concert version). it's not really my go to song, I usually listen to Tian Wen, Wuti or Lonely Dream, because TYK is just feels sadder somehow so I prefer listening to the other ones on a regular basis. It's such a beautiful song though and it was a great decision to get both ZZH and GJ sing it for the OST because it somehow completed the episodes for me. The studio version is already so good but the live versions just hit differently. It's somehow more beautiful. Normally you would find people's live singing not that great, especially for untrained voices like GJ, but he actually sounds even better in the live version. Somehow they both made it more heartfelt and beautiful in the concert.

Also, it still doesn't feel like the drama ended months ago. Everything is still so fresh.

The livestream host and the staff behind the scenes were reluctant to read out some of the winners' names as they were cp fans. GJ thought it was disrespectful to leave them out/read out only half as they were already winners, so he politely asked the host read out the full names.

Not necessarily international fans, just MDL users. From what I've seen, there are some problems with the editing and pacing, but people here are giving comments without even bothering to find out what it's all about. Sigh.

It's not dubbing. It's Gong Jun's own voice. Pretty sure it has nothing to do with You Are My Hero as many things in this drama are inspired by real events.

Also, some comments here are saying this drama doesn't realistically portray what firefighters and doctors do. Do people really have an expertise on both these fields or does this opinion stem from assumptions? It has already been shown in the BTS and interviews that the production closely worked with firefighting and medical professionals to make things as realistic as possible, even using real equipments. The actors even lived and trained with firefighters for weeks. Some of the rescue missions shown in the drama are actually based on real cases, so no it isn't unrealistic in that aspect.

I have seen three episodes and so far I like it. I am liking GJ as Huo Yan and I am slowly warming up to the other cast as well. The rescue missions look pretty good to me. I haven't seen YAMH, MDG or DOTS ( dropped after one epi) and although I used to watch a lot of medical dramas (especially kdramas), I have skipped the last 4-5 that came out, so I am not tired of watching rescue/medical dramas and this concept is actually fresh to me. Also, I don't have a problem with the all the different love stories here. I think it was pretty obvious from the first trailer there is going to be a decent amount of romance. So I don't really understand why some people are complaining that c-ent can't make good rescue drama without romance. Where does this comparison come from? Most Asian dramas, whether it's c and k drama have romances no matter the genre. Don't get disappointed because you expected things the drama never promised in the first place.

Of course there are a few issues with the drama. There is the obvious editing and pacing issue which makes things a bit jarring or maybe having multiple scriptwriters is a problem. Sometimes it jumps from one scene to another without a smooth progression. I was really looking forward to seeing Huo Yan bond with the team after he joined but on epi 2, they jumped straight to the rescue missions and then we see Huo Yan helping Wu with the date. I wish we could have seen a bit more Huo Yan bonding with the team before all that happened.

I am finding myself guessing things from time to time but apart from that I really I like the storyline and the characters.

Gong Jun is just so captivating every time he is on screen and it's not just because he is good looking. He just exudes a certain presence on screen. He is very effortlessly Huo Yan and doesn't carry traces of one role to the other. It's the third GJ drama I am watching and I am really enjoying his growth and progress as an actor. If you put WKX, LR and HY next to each other, the only common thing would be their faces but they would be three completely different people. So I am looking forward to watching him as Huo Yan.
