Congrats to. Liu yu Ning for winning four music awards.1. Eagle artist award 2. Very talented artist. 3. Most…
Congratulations Liu Yuning. I love his voice. I can't describe the feelings Tian Wen gave me when I first heard it. Ofcourse, the song in itself is really great but his voice is so charming as well.
It seems a lot of people missed it. Gong Jun and Zhou Ye interaction in yesterday's LV event. Our Wen Ke Xing and Gu Xiang. I get so happy when I see WOH cast interaction.
For me, it is hard to compare two series. One is a Wuxia (WOH), and the other is a Xianxia (the untamed) genre.…
Wow, you gave some interesting info about the inspiration behind TU/MDZS which I was totally unaware of. I never saw this come up in any discussions before.
I like this better. I can't go back to watching TU after watching this.
Sure. On a technical level I'd say this is better scripted, better directed and better enacted. The cinematography is more beautiful. I consider this to be more visually captivating. TU on the other hand has some poor camera work and framing. Someone actually wrote an article on this aspect of TU on MDL not too long ago. This might not be an issue for many but I noticed it the first time I watched TU as well. It was a bit distracting. The action choreography here is better too. WOH production couldn't spend much on the CGI, but they kept it consistent. Instead of going for hyper realistic CGI which they couldn't afford anyway they kind of went for an artistic, surreal type of look. TU CGI is inconsistent. WOH actually has a much lower budget than TU, but if you are unaware of this fact, you wouldn't be able to tell. So considering that alone, the production of WOH did a much better job. They used the miniscule budget wisely.
On a personal level, I did actually enjoy TU when I watched it and I still think it's a good series. I love Wangxian, but I just ended up loving Wenzhou more. They have amazing chemistry. I love the dynamics between the five main characters as well. It's just too precious. The feels WOH gave is just on another level for me. Also, it has an amazing villain and some great supporting characters. Actually, when I watched TU, I felt that the Yi City arc was the best thing about the show and liked it more than the main plot. later when I read the novel, I still felt the Yi City arc was the best. I also felt there were some boring parts in TU. But I was thoroughly engrossed in WOH. I consider this to be one of the best dramas I've ever watched.
Gong Jun won "Rising Actor of the year" so proud of him. Congratulations 👏https://twitter.com/gongjun_/status/1460604557965156357?t=ZWpivaQe6DgQFYyG_i4A6g&s=19
Today last day for Gong Jun going to work. I can't believe the filming is over. Time flies so fast.It seems as…
Time really flies. I am happy the filiming completed successfully but I'm also gonna miss seeing Gong Jun stepping into the makeup studio in his hat and stepping out in Han Ye hair. Also I love his daily fashion. I used to anticipate what he's going to wear everyday. I didn't keep up with DG filming as thoroughly. But he doesn't have to wear the wig now so that's a relief. He really suffered a lot. And hopefully he is going to get some rest and maybe able to spend his birthday with his loved ones. He has really worked so hard this year. He really deserves it.
If there is one thing I love even more than WOH, it's WOH concert. Yesterday and today marks 6 months of the concert. Tomorrow will be the day the final epi had aired for non-vips. 6 months passed in the blink of eye. I still remember how we eagerly waited for the epilogue. I wish there was some way to go back to that time between Feb and May. All that unbridled joy and laughter. Ah the memories. So precious.
The concert will always be one of the most beautiful things I've ever watched along with WOH. I have also started rewatching the drama for the 3rd time a few days ago. So many details that I had missed the last time. Though it honestly feels kinda bittersweet now. But I will always cherish and love WOH and keep watching it many more times. Thank you WOH for all the happiness you gave me.
I have just seen the complete WSJ interview with Gong Jun. Part 1, 2, 3 and 10 are about his role as Han Ye in…
I am currently reading TYK and I can totally see how Gong Jun added some of WKX's gestures and mannerisms from the novel. No wonder he became WKX personified. Ofc, the novel has some differences from the show but it's just those things...you read some parts and can totally picture GJ as WKX of the book as and recall how played the role on screen...and you'll just be like wow, he really made WKX come alive.
For Gong Jun fans who are still worried about expanded role given to Liu Yu Ning, please have no worries. Personally,…
Many GJ fans aren't that worried though. At least I haven't seen anything like that here or in twitter. In fact GJ fans are excited for this seeing how happy and excited GJ himself is about this project. If some of us are worried, it has more to do with the scriptwriter who everyone said has messed up some previous projects and nothing to do with the co-actors themselves. I haven't seen this scriptwriter's past works but a script can get messed up in more ways than one. But I do trust the director, so let's hope for the best. But still it does raise some concerns and whether those concerns will come true or not, we will only find out when the drama actually airs.
Also regarding LOA being a female-centric project, it is in fact one and there isn't anything wrong with that. But since there is a source material and that source material depicts Han Ye as an equally important character, fans will hope for the same in the drama. I don't know how many of GJ's dramas you've watched but many of his past dramas have been female-centric or told from the FL's POV and in fact the next one is also the same. It's not a matter of how many novels are written from a female POV or how society is in general. It's a matter of whose fan you are and hoping for the best for their careers. GJ was actually pretty good in most his past dramas too but still he remained unnoticed, and it took a Wen Kexing for him to prove himself to the audience. So that's why fans are/were concerned. We are just hoping the script will do justice to his talent.
Though I am GJ fan, I also like Reba and Yuning and I hope all of us get along here too and that this drama becomes a good experience for everyone.
LYN fans, help me out. I saw bits of that livestream where he talked about LOA and GJ a few days ago. There is one part where he had to take a restroom break, lmao. Anyway, before he went, he left something he constructed...a model of something with wheels and all. I am greatly interested in that stuff he made. It looked so cool. I wanted take a better look. So where can I watch it? Do fans fully sub his livestreams and upload them somewhere? And does he have a hobby of building things like this? Any idea?
I loved it too. GJ and ZC look really good together.
