It was 6th among TV shows in the UK yesterday, so it looks like it might be popular outside Japan too. Hopefully it's popular enough for them to renew it for 2 seasons (apparently the director has plans for both seasons 2 and 3 already). Looking at the Japanese wikipedia, there are currently 4 novels in the book series, but I have no idea if the 1st season adapts only the first novel, or more.

They lost, but I would argue that they both proved they're as good as their opponents because they made the point in an earlier episode that the situation they ended up in is a matter of chance as the player always stands a better chance if the card on their side is read in this situation.

Turns out the real full circle was the friends Meguru made along the way. (Not trying to diss the show, I actually loved the ending). I was kind of hoping they would win and we'd get a movie to wrap it all up with them going to Omi Shrine, though. But I also like the fact that the only reason they lost was due to chance!

It is released on a 2 week delay

The walking man didn't find the exit, that was an anomaly. The rules state that you have to got out through exit 8. Since that wasn't exit 8, it was not the real exit. You can tell it's an anomaly by the fact that when the boy turns around and goes the other way, the exit number increases instead of going back to 0.

Don't know if you know this, but even though this is an original story set 10 years after the movie, the original manga artist was involved in the plotting of this drama.

The 2nd episode is apparently now coming to Netflix on the 8th of August. A full week later than expected!

Anyone else feel like the editing of Meguru's parents' plot in episode 4 was a bit weird? Like Meguru's parents find out that she's not at the cram school camp, but then a whole day passes (and Meguru even uses her phone to send a voice mail to Haruma) before we return to them, and it's like they continue on from the same scene.

International Netflix is airing it on a 2-week delay

Now it's showing up as coming to Netflix UK tomorrow. I really can't with them! lol

It's a truly a wild ride with the distribution and translation of this drama!

Ah, I see it's not just the UK then! I even contacted them on chat on Monday when it disappeared, and they said something like "I can see that it has been released in Japan and that it was scheduled to be released in the UK on the 17th July, but it's no longer coming and we can't confirm when and if it will be available. We're sorry, this almost never happens."
