I was thinking about the extensions they do in other countries because of filming while airing. Didn't realize they had other ways of extending the drama for China. You were right about the extension, I just saw the new schedule. Yay for more episodes. I wasn't ready for the show to end.

I don't think this is possible. Chinese dramas are fully filmed and go through censorship approval before airing.

There are two different sets of episode cuts for this drama though, so that might be what you're seeing. It is the same content just cut at different lengths so the episode counts don't match up.

Arsenal Military Academy is one of her best dramas. Most of the show is crossdressing romcom with very likable costars, though there are some more serious elements later.

Hope she gets a real lead role. She's very adorable in even unlikable supporting roles

The time travel mechanics are not really explained but she time traveled when she touched the door handle at the cafe. Her mission showed up as a text on her phone.

She has an important work event planned at that location and she has a work rival who is always undermining her. From her point of view, it makes sense for her to stop him from collaborating with her work rival in ruining her hard work. She has a promotion riding on the outcome of this event.

Unfortunately, the directing and her expression leads you to believe she's just clumsily getting in the ML's way. She will find out pretty soon that she has time traveled (which is why his event is happening there instead). Their interactions are a lot more entertaining after this rough introduction.

That introduction could have been done better. I blame a little bit of her acting and the directing for not communicating this scene better. Keep going, it gets better! I will elaborate in a separate post with mild spoilers.

I hope you like her better in later episodes. It was a strange choice to make such a bad first impression of the female lead, her rudeness to her family, her friend, and to the male lead all in the first episode. She is a much better friend than they show in 1.

Unexpected has the same screenwriter as The Romance of Tiger and Rose! Hopefully you'll like this one too. I think it's an underrated.

I was having trouble finding any details about plagiarism but that word kept being thrown around. There were conflicting complaints about both drawing inspiration from real players but also changing their personalities and actions. I read claims that the character Xu Tailun is modeled after a real LoL player called Faker but it seems to me like the player's name and behaviors are changed so it's not slander and it's not actually copying his life story, so I find the claims confusing. It did seem like another AO3 situation to me as well.
