So interesting! Although The Double had beautiful costumes, I thought it was a low budget drama because people say it was a dark horse and that more famous actors chose to pass on the ML role that went to WXY. Thank you so much for all the info! Much appreciated! 🙌

WOW! This is great! Thank you so much for explaining this in detail! I love how you added examples of the dramas, so I understand the differences! Would Word of Honor fall in the B production category?
Nice!! I’m doing well, thanks! Glad to see you are checking back here every so often! I’ve been rewatching some dramas I’ve enjoyed previously and will likely revisit The Double after I see The Glory and Legend of the Female General, which I hope are coming out soon. I like the author of these novels, but need to temper my expectations so I’m not disappointed from hyping it up in my mind! 😅
I’m starting this for the first time and 60 episodes seem daunting. I was initially turned off by the ML in the first episode, but I’m glad it’s moved on quickly to their (ML/FL) interactions. So far so good…it’ll be hard to sustain my interest for 60 episodes, so am hoping there will be good character development and chemistry…🤞
What do the wooden tokens, that rotate and stop on a word that begins some of the scenes, signify? I thought at first they were the names of the 4 Gong families, but I keep seeing “Fei” and I don’t think that’s one of the names.
I think this series really stands out with its emotional depth and strong character development. Tianyao’s repeated…
i just re-watched this and i think you captured my thoughts, especially regarding YH and Zhou Ye's strong performance. i loved how the leads' relationship developed from both of them being selfish at the start to being selfless at the end. i also loved how humor was blended in throughout the drama. it was an emotional rollercoaster and journey that I definitely enjoyed.
if you liked this, you might want to give Love in Between a shot: https://kisskh.at/31267-an-inch-of-yearning i unfortunately don't speak Chinese and based on my research of BFTB, i missed a lot of deep meanings in the dialogs between the leads when translated into English. i think it is the same for LIB, where the Chinese title (One Inch of Yearning) gives more meaning to the love relationship between the leads.
Okay so im rewatching this for the 3rd time and its almost 2 years?! Anyway I forgot why YanHui is so powerful…
i just re-watched this and so glad i did!
here is my understanding, hope it helps! - YH mind's eye was sealed by her master's master, Qing Huang (the one who absorbed and sealed the dark aura) - It was sealed to prevent the dark master, Fu Yin, from finding her and the heart protecting scale, which she got from TY as a baby - FY wants to destroy the heart protecting scale, knowing it can hurt/kill him - To protected YH and the heart protecting scale, her mind's eye was sealed - TY and BXS help her break the seal so that she can break the formation that Su Ying placed on TY's dragon horns, thereby allowing TY to get regain the horns
I seemingly find another drama featuring mental illness and have a revenge included in the story and minus this…
Some revenge plots with male as lead that might interest you: - Love Like the Galaxy (ML looks for his clan’s killer) - Love Between Fairy and Devil (ML wants revenge for his displaced people) - Side Story of Fox Volant (ML wants revenge for his parents’ killer) Have you seen any of these yet? There’s no mental illness, but there is a lot of mental anguish. I second NIF! NIF2 is also great, but focuses more on ML growth and family relationships.
