Because the majority of terrorist attacks come from Islamic paramilitary organizations or religion sects.
No I won't be surprised because it is not the opposite. In fact I was present in one of those attacks ( the Vienna one ) and you know what the attacker was shouting while he shot people on the streets? Alahou Akbar. Not Namaste!
So please spare me the academic theory of the supposedly negative media coverage. Those who spread and teach such theories were not obviously witnesses on any such kind of attacks and that is the reason why they spread theories about Islamophobia ( like somebody else branded the attackers as Islamist and they didn't declare that themselves), or the supposedly misunderstandings of the supposedly peaceful fundamentalists! Fundamentalism and peacefulness are contradicting terms.

I'm so done with these types of plots in movies and shows, first the West and now South K really....Why does everything…
Because the majority of terrorist attacks come from Islamic paramilitary organizations or religion sects.

Actors doing brown face in 2023? This is disgusting. I hope they get backlash.
Koreans ( and Japanese and Chinese too) don't really need to do brown face. They only have to sunbath for a couple of hours in order to tan as much as they like. It is very easy you know for brunette people. Just because they avoid tanning for cultural reasons doesn't mean that they can't get a really dark when they expose themselves in sun light.

Bah... it should have been called House of Yawns! The plot is completely stupid as it has no point up to the 7th…
I've dropped it because there was no point in its plot up to the 7th episode. Boring as hell going from suicide to suicide without progressing the story.
Anyway... if you want to watch a very good investigation and crime drama watch the Burning River (2020). That is by far the best drama I've watched recently with a fantastic plot that keeps going from revelation to revelation. I've made a review about it too because it is quite underrated.
The dramas that have the best plot and are more interesting are underrated in MDL and those with high ratings are unwatchable.
I think that a lot of people give high ratings because they like the actors instead of paying attention at the plot and its progress.

is this good???¿
It is very good. One of the best investigation dramas I've ever watched. It has a fantastic plot that literally unfolds on each episode. It starts with some unremarkable cases that during the investigation end up being very complicated and dark.

Dong Chang was the star of the 2nd half. And of course Zhou you was amazing throughout the whole drama. The production…
Yes indeed. I had never heard about him up until watching this drama, but he is a fantastic actor and in this drama he gives the performance of his life.
It is really unfortunate that such good actors are lost in the "crowd" and they don't get the attention that they deserve. Fantastic actor and I plan to watch more of his work.

I came for a thriller because that is what it is indicated on the description above.
I'm copying it in order not to trouble yourself to scroll up.

Genres: Thriller, Mystery, Romance, Melodrama

See!! Thriller is first.

This show should have been called House of Secrets or something like that because that's all that's going on,…
Bah... it should have been called House of Yawns!
The plot is completely stupid as it has no point up to the 7th episode that I've managed to watch not to mention that up until this episode 5 characters have already committed or attempted to commit suicide! It seems that this is the most popular way of death in this drama! lol

Dropped on episode 7. Don't accuse me that I didn't give this drama a chance. But the plot is stupid not to mention that I haven't watched again a drama that has so many suicidal characters!! lol

Its bcuz she is asking to stay in the house. Plus she is associated with their son who was a criminal so she might…
Allowing her to stay at their house just like that, is another incomprehensible thing of this drama.
She came out of the blue claiming something that any sane person would doubt to start with and they simply allowed her to stay at their house. What if she is a murderer paid by a terrorist organization to kill the assembly man?! How and why did his security allow her to stay there?
But anyway... even if they want to use this pregnancy for political reasons there are easier and safer ways to deal with her. Pay for her the accommodation at a hotel and the medical cost, keep an eye on her in order to make sure that she doesn't plot something and ask her to have a DNA test after delivering the child. If the child is indeed their son's child they can take it home along with the mother, if it's not arrest her for fraud.

Don't tell me that this is heartless and other such things, because she has already threaten them that she will reveal the whole story. So there is a hint of blackmail in her stance.

I'm now in the fifth episode and the whole story is completely stupid and generally speaking nothing is progressing in this drama other than the fact that there are secrets in the family, but not that interesting ones in order to make an interesting plot.
The FL character looks timid and pitiful all the time, and makes me wonder why the ambitious assembly man would choose such a person as his wife.
I can't also empathize with the persons that killed themselves up until now, because all of them were guilty of some very serious crimes. Their son was drinking heavily and was found with a dose of meth in his pocket, which suggests that he was probably dealing drugs, the med student was guilty for molka, the guy from the FL's past tried to rape her and so on.

Not to mention that those that they committed suicide have all the traits of people that don't give a fig about other people in order to feel guilty enough to kill themselves. I can't also see why those that they exposed these persons ought to feel guilty themselves and have any kind of morality crises. It is not that they drove any innocent persons to commit suicide.

What is the message that this drama is trying to pass?
Don't expose the criminals because they will kill themselves? Or what?

I'm watching now the third episode and I don't really understand what are their concerns about the pregnant girl on regard of whose the baby she is carrying. She can have the baby and then do a DNA test on the baby and if the child is not their son's sue her for fraud. If she decides to abort it, then pay discretely the costs of the abortion. What exactly is their problem?

That story plot would have made sense if this drama took place at an era that there was no way to find out who the father is. Nowadays they don't even need the DNA of the biological father. Any relative's DNA sample does the job. Not to mention that they have already biological samples of the diseased father by the time that they got samples of his blood for the toxicology tests.

This is the most accurate review ( and title for a review) I've read for this drama. It is indeed tragicomic and I had a good laugh while I was watching the first episode.
But Park Dong Ha is not exactly stupid. He is timid and naive and clumsy and desperate. And his wife doesn't help with her intimidating and demanding behavior his condition. I felt sorry for him for the way she devalued him with her behavior and words. She has some right in her turn of course, but... on the other hand.. she married him! She knew who he was after all!
Anyway. This is a great drama for what it is and and a underated here on MDL.

How old was that Meng Chao when her father died 8 years ago. 15 or something?! He looks like he is in his early 20s and he said that he was working at the bridge construction site 8 years ago. How is that possible? Do they hire children to built the bridges in China? If that is the case then I'm not impressed that they collapse!!! looool

When exactly was he convicted as a rapist?
Yes but it was and it is not illegal for 17-18 year old minors to have affairs with older people.
He is not a sex offender when the person that he had the relationship consented. He was never convicted for rape, or exploitation or anything else because the woman that he accused him admitted at the court that she was into this affair with him because she was after that role and she lied about her age.
Don't bring into the discussions irrelevant examples. There is a huge difference between being 12 y.o and being 17 or 18 y.o. and I bet that you yourself started your personal life at this age.
Most women at least in Western world countries start their personal life at that age, somewhere between 17-19 years old and most of them with older than them men. Not that much older but most of the times older than them and already adults by law, ( over the age of 18 in the Western style).
