Review Why Her?

She has already driven an other woman to her death with her behavior. This can't be redeemed.
And for me at least the problem is on how they present women of power. It is the wrong paradigm. It is not that identify 100% with the character, because I'm not a woman in such a position after all. It is that I detected immediately the "message". That women of power can acquire that power only if they are bitches. But they can stop being bitches only if a guy shows them the right way to do so.
In other words women of power acquire their position just because they are cruel and stupid too!

When I mentioned the other way round, I meant what would have been your opinion about the ML if he slapped twice in public and for no particularly serious reason the FL?
Would you give him the excuse that he came from another background?
I bet that you would considered a man that slapped a woman this way, because she spoiled his shoes by mistake, not that much of a man after all!

Title Why Her?
She is underweight. That is the definition of skin and bones.
Depends on the body type and where each person's body stores more fat. Some people don't have protruding bones on their spines even when they are anorexic but they might have bonny limps. And others look literally like walking skeletons.
In any case being so thin is very harmful particularly for women that naturally have a bit more fat stored in their bodies in order for the system to function properly.

Review Why Her?
I didn't get the impression that the intention was to portray her character as cool and badass or to present her…
Which she will get them from her affair with the kind young handsome guy as the promotional photo shows! The guy that will take her literally by her hand and will drive her to the road of morality in order to allow the viewers to forget and forgive her cruel actions . Because there must be always a guy who will do that for her, as she is so flawed and useless that she can't evaluate her actions herself and stop for a moment to ask herself.. " What am I doing now? " lol
Meanwhile this is the same guy that should have sued the shit out of her when she slapped ( this is called assault ) him because he spoiled her shoes! If he was the one who slapped her, ( lets reverse the roles) how would you feel about him?
Seriously now don't you feel offended when women are presented as stupid and cruel bitches that need always a man to show them what is the right thing to do?

Review Why Her?
I agree with your review but I'm still going to stick to watching this as I'm a fan of Hwang In-Youp. To be honest,…
Whatever were their intentions, the traits of this character are an insult for all the women who are trying to be on the top of their profession.
I bet that they presented the character this way in order to make it controversial and raise debates on the character's actions. This is obviously intentional.
I have no problem to debate but on the other hand I don't intent to watch this drama.
I cancel such kind of characters and such kind of misrepresentations of emancipated women because they promote the wrong paradigm to other and particularly younger women.
The message that this kind of character is passing to the viewers in between the lines is "don't try to be the best female professional because the best female professionals are by default failed as humans and as women too".
Or something like this, it doesn't really matter how you phrase it.
They don't present though with the same way successful male professionals. The top cardiologist or the top businessman is a always a "prince". But the she character is always a bitch that needs the kind male guy to put her back to the road of morality and make her reconnect with her humanity because success doesn't go hand by hand with femininity . Even the promotional photo shows this! It is incredible how stupid they think that their audience is!

This character is pushing with the most concealed and sneaky way the worst kind of sexism.
And that is exactly the thing that I find the most disturbing.

Anyway.. this particular character has already driven another character and on top of that the victim of a rape to her death, without any remorse. This is unacceptable no matter where it comes from. Waiting this character to evolve into something better is like accepting that the rapist that she so effectively cleared from his actions is justified for what he did and deserved the kind of support he got.

I'd like to ask how much hate would this drama get if in the place of the FL was a man who was abusing that much…
There would have been such a public uproar that they would have cancelled the drama immediately. They wouldn't dare to show a male lawyer abusing in such a way a female rape victim but they played it safe by showing a female character doing that, which is again completely wrong.
I 've "cancelled " this drama btw by dropping it and I give the reasons why in my review too.
Because the FL character shows a completely distorted view of what female empowerment is supposed to be. This drama is the epitome of concealed sexism because it presents the female empowerment with all the traits of narcissistic and completely disturbed personality.
This FL character is an insult for all the women that have a successful career. They make her look so unlikable in the style " this is what you are going to become if you want to succeed in your profession".

That is the between the lines comment.

She is underweight. That is the definition of skin and bones.
No she is very thin for her body type. That is the reason why her spine is protruding that much.

Most of these actresses are underweight and in Asia they push hard this idea. The other day I was watching a c-drama and at some point one of the characters asks another female character what is her weight and height and she replies height 1,68 cm and weight 44 kilos. I calculated out of curiosity on an online app her body mass and it gave me 16,2 that is two points under the normal weight that is 18.

They've said that on screen in order to show that she is thin, but this is the anorexic thin!
And that is how they push the wrong models particularly to young girls.

It’s not really fair to call that scene an over-dramatization when she just saw someone leap to their death…
She drove that someone to leap on her death.

That is just the spine. How disgusting of you to call it a monstrosity.
It is a monstrosity. The spine bones are not supposed to protrude that much but they protrude on her spine because she is extremely thin.

Did you watch whole 2 eps? Because it doesn't seem like it to me.Me too feel like the FL is a bit too much and…
What sort of promise can I expect from a ( fictional) character that has already driven another supposedly raped and abused character to commit suicide?
She added literally insult to injury with the things that she said to the woman who reported the rape.
She told her that the rape was her fault, that she is a slut, that she is not worthy for something better, that she should expect to be raped because she worked as a hostess, she threatened her that she will expose her in public, that she will say about the rape to her sick mother ...and then she went on to brag to her assistant that she said all those things because the other woman wasn't clever enough to hire her as her lawyer. In between she made the lawyer of the raped woman feel like he was a trash! He told him that he is a useless second class lawyer who he shouldn't even dare to stand against her.
I don't think that there something out there that can justify such kind of behavior. They can't save the plot after that.

Please I’m laughing 😭 but yes I totally agree to what you said
Cillian Murphy is not skeletal and he doesn't mess up with his face either. He has some very unconventional facial features but he looks the same as his younger self. Just somewhat older.
Lee Dong Wook who used to be one of the most handsome Asian actors has already changed and has destroyed his face.

The skeletal underweight look doesn't look good on anyone, men or women of any age. It makes them all look sick and is forcing them to have more plastic surgery in order to tight the excess skin. Something that makes them look even worst.

Title Secret of Three Kingdoms Spoiler
This drama feels like I've been watching it for years now LOL three months on and off and I insisted on finishing…
I would suggest to watch it up until the end. I liked this drama because the characters remained true to themselves and their intentions up until the very end.
The emperor is kind and benevolent and indifferent about power games, Sima Yi is daring and audacious but the character that stole the show is that of Guo Jia who appears on 10th episode. This character is unbelievable, secretive, ambiguous, up to the point to make the others characters scared to death and simultaneously stoic and sad because at the end of the day he is the one who is dying. Sunny Wang nailed this role particularly at the scene into the burning mansion.

I just finished the drama, which I loved, and watched the review video by avenuex on youtube - according to her…
They are not as few as you think. Those who make composite portraits of suspects according to the descriptions of one or many witnesses , have the ability to draw portraits without models, ( or even low quality photographs).
It is more difficult to draw a portrait without having any clue or kind of "picture" about how the person looks like, than draw a portrait having already some basic information about how this person's face looks like.
What Shen Yi does in the first episode, where he draws the face of a suspect according to the description that he gets on the phone by one of the policemen, is more difficult than drawing the woman's face from a screenshot of the surveillance video.
And the accuracy of the first portrait is a bit exaggerated because the person that gives the description has to confirm each and every change of each and every feature on the face of the person that is depicted on the portrait. That is the reason why such kind of composite portraits are made in the same room with the artist, but with each and every witness individually.

P.S I'm a painter/ illustrator myself. But not at any police department.. lol

I'm impressed that there were so many people who dropped this drama. The actress that took the role of Choi Ja Hye on the second half of this drama was better on this role than Go Hyun Jung. I don't know what is all that hype about the latter. I didn't like her acting at all and it was the first time that I've watched her in a drama.

I don't like her acting either. I'm watching now the 10th episode so I can't tell if the actress that replaced her was somewhat better, but I don't like the FL acting. She comes out very pretentious. In the style " look at me I'm acting now".
It is the first time that I"m watching her on a drama or film and I can't tell if that is her usual acting style. I plan to watch some other dramas that she participated to have a better picture, but generally speaking my first impression on her so hyped acting is not positive. I find her acting somewhat irrelevant with the character that she is depicting.
