"Killing is killing. No rhyme or reason can every justify it"Self-defense laws say otherwise The law claims that…
revenge and justice are not the same thing even if the person think's their revenge is justified. justice is driven by truth and revenge is driven by emotion. so you kill their family, then what? the family that was killed will have family and friends that will want to get even too. then it becomes a never ending cycle of violence and hatred. that is why we have laws to separate the two. you can emphasize with YJ and the other victims-as is the point of the show- and even understand why they did what they did while also realizing it's wrong. YJ took the lives of innocent people that weren't involved. that's not justice regardless how you want to try to spin it
There were so many hints from the start, they didnt just throw in a random plot twist. If you haven’t caught…
I never said they didn't hint at anything, I actually thought it was paced pretty well and that all the twists and reveals were well written up until ep 7 or 8 I think? whenever they revealed the twist with the brains is about when I checked out. then there was so much thrown at you it just got so unbelievable so fast. I definitely agree with the person below me who also thought the editing and story got really hard to follow.
this started out really good but it got so unserious so fast. I just feel like its lazy writing to frame a scene to the audience one way and then episodes later be like "no THIS is what actually happened, haha fooled ya!". and they did it over and over again. part of the fun is going back to the beginning and putting things together, but it was like they were pulling new plot points and suspects out of a hat. I did think the acting was really good, especially from hee joon you really felt his pain..
I love the cast and the acting, but the story doesn't intrigue me at all. If the students were up against real…
the way I see it, the uniforms are symbols of their oppression as queer/ gender non conforming students. its been shown time and time again that the school is not friendly to queer identifying individuals (world remembers gang, thua, probably teacher dika) and there is rampant homophobia at the school- much to the point where thua and khan are both afraid to act on their mutual feelings for each other. the uniforms stifle their individualism and their gender expression so I think it makes sense for that to be the issue at the forefront of their protests. I think its important to show that oppression comes in many forms and it happens in all different types of environments. it doesn't always look like blatant abuse it can also be political. another thing to keep in mind is that Thailand is in a state of political division, and the government will censor media that is explicitly trying to comment on or criticize that. I feel like this is their way to get a conversation started without being polarizing enough to where they're unable to air the show. I do agree that the curse storyline is anticlimactic, I wish that aspect of the show was written better they could've made it really interesting.
I enjoyed it a lot but I almost wished it leaned into the camp a bit more as sometimes the comedic tone would clash with and take you out of the more serious scenes. I also thought sung hoon's performance was actually held back a little by the script and nature of the show as there were some instances I felt like he wanted to take the role a little further. but all in all it was very fun and thrilling. and yes I agree with a lot of the people below, in woo had a big fat evil gay crush on dong shik change my mind
ignoring the obvious criticisms that almost everyone below me has pointed out, the sex scenes (Yoon) just have zero sex appeal? Kamol looked constipated the entire time and Kim looked like he was being held captive. I wish they'd shown Kim actually enjoying what Kamol was doing and maybe even challenging him bc wtf was that. why is he special enough to guard and keep around? what did he do that none of the other boys could? idk man the story setup was so lazy I bought none of it. im not even one of those people who are comparing everything to KP bc im really enjoying secret love and love mechanics but this just isn't it.
I may be alone here but mek is my favorite character so far. As immature and cringe as he is, it’s clear that he’s a sweetheart deep down and already has a soft spot for kim. Idk I love me a no thoughts head empty show so I’m enjoying it lol
I do believe in god, I do believe in a higher power that’s constantly watching and taking care of us. I don’t…
I am religious myself and do believe in the existence of god, but you can absolutely live a good life full of meaning and.purpose without being religious. evil people exist in this world regardless of race, gender, or religion.
only 7.7? I just binged the first 10 eps and thought the acting, storyline, and pacing were all above average. definitely deserves to be higher. I see people complaining about some of the soapy elements and dramatic plot points but its a drama? it reminds me a lot of grey's anatomy in the sense of you don't know who they're gonna try to kill off next lol. nut is a great emotional actor he's able to convey so many emotions through his eyes alone. I know people say he shouldn't blame tua every time his patient dies, but I see it as more of him having a tangible source he can project his pain onto. he's a human and with tua being a physical representation of death it's probably hard to separate his involvement, even if rationally he knows he's not responsible. Nut and Karn's chemistry is really great too I might even watch grey rainbow once this finishes airing.
I love keeta and nathee's dynamic as well, I always look forward to their scenes. there's only 2 eps left but I feel like even if the leads don't want to sign on for another season (and I really wish they would lol) there's still a lot they could do in the hospital setting to develop the two other couples even without the supernatural element. i just don't see how they'll have enough time to wrap up Prakan and tua's story and also get the two other couples together before the series ends.
speaking of, the straight couple is the only one im not sold on. I think yacht is terribly miscast, and he and nuch have like zero chemistry. every time he's on screen I want to fast forward and I generally like him in everything else he's cast in.
ok the gapsing crumbs were really cute this ep but I'm confused I didn't know they were on friendly (ish?) terms? unless I missed something last episode I thought they were still bickering every time they saw each other
other than the obvious problems with the writing of the show, none of the characters here are likable. at this point I don't want nuea with kluen or typhoon. he can go with maitee he's the only one I trust.
this is so funny bc I think toh/nuea are one of the best bl parings on air rn where I feel more lukewarm on sky/jao.…
idk he's an over the top character which of course isn't for everyone, but I don't find it any more annoying than any of the other characters and their OTT quirks. I also don't necessarily think it was hand wavey of them- many times throughout the show they acknowledge toh's obsessive tendencies and his friends try to slowly wean him from it so to speak. I could empathize with the explanation that toh gave about keeping his mementos and the the realization that hoarding and putting nuea on this pedestal could be really damaging to their relationship. It's a romantic comedy that's supposed to be campy and outlandish so I'm not really expecting anything else really. that being said I can absolutely understand how toh can come off as annoying and cringey but hey different strokes lol
pond is THE best character in this show. whether they were missing for days at a time, having manic episodes, or going through mental breakdowns, he was always there carrying this friend group on his back. when he said he thought mon was disappearing to a crackhouse I died. he was absolutely planning an intervention with the pamphlets he prepared.
I am also firmly in the monsoh camp. soh was necessary for Mon's development as a character and as many below me have said, he brought him out of his shell and helped him re discover his passion. saint and mon just have a different dynamic. saint was an antagonist for half the show and only started to act on his romantic feelings for mon once he saw soh was into him too. I mean mon himself basically said he hated him in high school because of his jealousy and only recently came to terms with it because of soh. I do feel for saint and I wish their story was written better but I do feel like most of the people here are biased towards him just because he's conventionally more attractive, which is fine, but it doesn't make sense within the narrative of the show for them to be together.
This show is absolute shit when it comes to the main couple. They alternate between so cringy I want to die of…
this is so funny bc I think toh/nuea are one of the best bl parings on air rn where I feel more lukewarm on sky/jao. they're sweet but I think fluffy couples just aren't for me Iol. toh is absolutely supposed to inspire cringe but I feel like seng plays him so endearingly I end up enjoying it. I love characters with personality especially in BL where so many of them are just a copy / paste of the same tropes and stereotypes.
Vegas had me blushing and giggling while he tried to impress Porsche on their little motorcycle date knowing full well that not even two days ago he tried to r*pe him 😭 I’m trash for Bible he’s playing the charming sociopath so well. Apo’s acting was really good this episode too he did an amazing job showing how haunted he was by his conflicting feelings about what happened with Kinn. Definitely the best episode so far I hope going forward the show keeps this balance of comedy and drama
vegas already my fave character I fear...I always like the psychos. and mile's tiddies we're SITTING during that bathroom scene I couldn't take my eyes off of them
I would love to see what da seul could do with a bigger budget, an hour or even 45 min drama from her would probably break the internet. all her works are beautiful and they just keep getting better. where your eyes linger will always have a special place in my heart as it was the first k bl I saw, but this is definitely her best work so far. amazing acting and cinematography I can't wait to see what she does next.
I'll agree to disagree with your comment. I think the main point of this series is that, characters like Toh,…
"Why Sky or Nuea can't me more flamboyant? Why Toh, Jao and Daisy are all passive while waiting for their secret crushes to look at them and flirt? Can't they be confident and take charge? Can't they be taller and more muscular than their counterparts?"
because they aren't? the entire point of toh daisy and jao's characters is that they're insecure if they had different personality traits they'd be different characters. like the person above said the show took characters usually used as comedic relief that are under represented and put them front and center. I don't really know what you're arguing against? gay flamboyant men do exist. showing them onscreen isnt a stereotype they're very real. neither toh jao or daisy are stereotypes because they have depth and very clear personalities, they aren't just flat characters. prao is the only stereotype in the show, they could've given her depth and character development but they continue to write her in a very reductive way.
gay men come in many different forms. you seem angry that they aren't the ones you envision, and coming from an actual gay man, that's a very harmful opinion to perpetrate.
now obviously this show isnt going to have the most nuanced take on lgbt issues its just a fun little Thai rom com its for entertainment but I do appreciate the steps they've taken to be more inclusive and diversify their characters, much more so than any other bl airing right now.
