the character of Pat is written to have a western perspective on things he went to college in LA.... hence his comment.

I agree with you but to be fair pat was crying because he was just sexually assaulted and forced to come out 😭…
oh I definitely did mean to say sexual harassment not assault! thank you for pointing that out.

And in my opinion I do think he was essentially forced (not in the traditional sense as he was already out to his friends) to out himself at work. he had already told his friend that he didn't want to have to reveal his sexuality. he also already had Jeng's words in his mind about not making his coworker look bad and to try and mitigate rumors between them, so im sure that played a part. There wasn't a gun to his head, but he was definitely bullied into that situation.

I like this show seems to have a direction other than just throwing the two leads together. that's why ABAAB bored me to tears bc yeah they're cute but there's no substance there. there's a lot more going on with the characters and story in this one.

I will say I get like zero romantic chemistry from the leads at this point (which might be on purpose) I cant really imagine them together yet but I look forward to seeing how their relationship develops.

I’m really enjoying this series because it’s not showing Pat as a “woe is me” victim like other office…
I agree with you but to be fair pat was crying because he was just sexually assaulted and forced to come out 😭 but yes homeboy is super sensitive

looking at your body and your butt... I can tell you're a bottom ? who wrote this line lol...
yeah it sounds insane but I've gotten comments like that from multiple different people, inside the workplace and out. some people just don't understand boundaries and think its edgy to be super offensive. that awful employee's behavior Is like the most realistic thing about this series lmao

black people didn't perpetuate and force toxic masculinity and oppressive patriarchal values on multiple societies like white colonizers did so it wouldn't make sense for him to say that

That translation of whatever Pat said to the gross guy was offensive and non-applicable. "straight white male"?…
they've already established that pat lived in LA (a very progressive city) and how he and his friend group are more socially conscious and "woke" compared to his coworkers in the first episode. Pat calling out the sexual harassment and toxic masculinity as 'straight white male' behavior would make sense in that context, as in the US that's a pretty common criticism to have towards negative patriarchal conduct. they are constantly reminding us that pat is kind of a fish out of water in his work environment as he has a more progressive perspective on things compared to maybe the more conservative and hierarchal Thai work environment.

there were a bunch of plot holes and the writing could've been a little better but I enjoyed the show a lot! it kept my attention the entire way through. tor and gun's chemistry was kinda insane and the last episode heavily hints at them having more than a brotherly relationship with each other. if we get a season 2 they better go all in on the gay. Nanon was super fun in this show he ate up being The One.

and GMM is always thinking 5 steps ahead with debuting future pairings in random shows. I saw that mark and junior will also be in cherry magic so I wonder if they used this as a platform to soft launch them as a pairing.

I loved it. this one was super sweet and fluff normally bores me but something about the characters kept me invested. I do think they made the best use of the time they got, but I would love to see this maybe extended / remade as a full length drama. I feel like we missed out on a lot of good angst and mutual pining from both Ian and eddy during the period of time they were separated. they could've also used the extended time to expand on the friends to lovers trope and show the development of their relationship while they were in Highschool in even more detail. don't know if it'll ever happen but a boy can dream lmao.

I hate when people try to justify their enjoyment of content made to fetishize horrible acts. Saying "Just dont…
I agree with everything you're saying and you're right to say it even though people will disagree because they think if something is fictionalized it cant have real life effects.

the only thing I will say is that I have read killing stalking (not all of it so correct me if i'm wrong) but I wouldn't put that in the same boat as jinx or love syndrome bc the story isn't framed as a romance, its a psychosexual thriller that happens to involve 2 men. I enjoyed what I read, but at no point was I like 'oh the author wants us to support these two being together' it very much felt like a queer themed horror story. now if the author has said it's supposed to be seen as a romance that would 100% be a different story, but I haven't seen anything to indicate that they have.

okay the kisses weren't good, but I don't think they were thaaaat bad lmao (I literally shudder thinking of the kisses from color rush) the main couples chemistry carried the show if it wasn't for that I would've tapped out long ago. as far as k bl's go this is definitely one of the better ones even with the lackluster writing (obsessed with how we never got an answer to why chef hated alcohol)

also im now obsessed with the actor who plays ji Hoon I need him as a lead in a bl asap rocky he ate every scene he was in.

eddy is such a refreshing, fun character. I hate that its so short bc the little unexpected moments of humor had me laughing out loud and I keep thinking of what they could've done with a longer run time to truly flesh out the entire casts' chemistry with each other. I hope k bl gets popular enough for one of these to be remade into a full length drama.

this show is so obviously low budget and unserious its comforting 😭 it reminds me of pre 2020 bls and I love being able to turn my brain off for 45 mins. Cooper is really charming and likable, even if he isn't the greatest actor. you cant help but root for him and that's really important when playing the hero. im sad he hasn't had as many opportunities in the industry I think this is only his second bl series? I hope he gets more roles after this Id love to see how he does with a better script and production

dome and Khatha are not beating the gay allegations i'm sorry. there's a way to show platonic brotherly affection, but they aren't even being subtle with how romantically coded their relationship is. im sure in the end they'll just be two bros chilling in a hot tub 5 feet away because they're not gay but GMM knows what they're doing lol.

anyways I'm really enjoying this show it's giving me old school Supernatural vibes (another show that refused to acknowledge how gay coded it was) and I also wanted to give a special shout out to all the female actresses I feel like they're massively underrated

after watching the two short films, I do wish the series version kept the more dramatic tone, but I am enjoying the show as well. I would die for nan fah no questions asked. I cant imagine the trauma of being ghosted for ten years like that and I can't believeeee nan wasn't throwing hands at phu the second he saw him because if I were in his position it would've been on sight. phu ain't shit I am tolerating him only because he makes nan happy. my boy developed depression, insomnia, and intense abandonment issues all because of this man. he travelled to Australia every year searching for him and phu KNEW that and still didn't reach out to even offer a "im fine don't contact me." phu you are going to hell.

anyways I clearly did not think I would be this invested after three episodes LOL.

also boss is a snack we need more of him.

I think im the only one who doesn't really feel the fluke / ohm chemistry... comparing fluke's chemistry with ohm here to his chemistry with Thor is like night and day to me.

I was waiting to give it a couple eps to really see, but I just don't think force book is for me. I just don't feel any type of romantic or sexual chemistry between them. its not entirely their fault either as going from close friends in real life can sometimes make it harder to develop that kind of chemistry. they just feel like buddies (although I buy it romantically much more from force's side than book's)

I wish GMM would've shuffled them around as I think they're good actors (esp force) and it'd be fun to see them with other people. im anticipating only friends so much for that specific reason. this show isn't bad at all but I also wouldn't say its necessarily good either. I have no idea how they're gonna fill 9 more episodes I foresee a lot of Cher denying his feelings

I just want to say that art is made to be consumed and critiqued. we don't have to tolerate it exisiting just because its a work of fiction and 'not real.' stories are stories yes, and they come in many different shades but there's a difference between someone writing a dark story with integrity and purpose, and writing one for shock value to promote harmful rhetoric. rape should never be romanticized, as rape is not romantic. it is an abhorrent violent act that is the antithesis of love. since some of you lack reading comprehension, no that does not mean stories with rape as a subject matter cant be shown, it just shouldn't be romanticized. its harmful to society to promote the idea that raping someone can be an act of love, or lead to love in any way shape or form. this is a small BL so it doesn't seem as dangerous as if it was a mainstream film, but teenage girls do consume this genre more than anyone and that's a dangerous thing to put into their heads.

its far more complicated than 'if you dont like it don't watch.' we're not talking about blurred lines or light dubcon. this is a story where one person repeatedly rapes, beats, and emotionally blackmails the person they're supposedly in 'love' with. just because its fiction doesn't mean it cant be a terrible story or that its free of criticism. rape should never be the foundation of a *love* story. end of discussion.
