Fuling had none of that, her memory start by being raised in hellish place, that was the thing she knows so how is she not more tragic than chen ye? but you are able to empathise with him but fully hate fuling. you can start fresh but it will be good to watch ancient love poetry as well (besides it being a good show and beautiful cgi with the most hearwrenching ost) just to know the backstory of yuemi and tianqi during their days as a deity before divine realm falls (?). while i was watching there is some connection i made when fan yue was telling the story of deities to bai shuo which i pretty much believe referring to ancient god in ALP but i had no way to figure out who is who (as they change the name and i can only figure out tianqi since he is a demon). ofc these may all be explained in later ep but it's worth it to watch ALP just for visual feast, ost (i still think out of the trilogy ALP has the saddest ost) and ofc yuemi & tianqi story which was told really well and honestly really heartbreaking, i cried for the first time in ALP for them
