on ep7, as much as i understand mu qingge i kind of blame her for the start of their misunderstanding, she could at least defend him in front of suyu, just say anything in favor him, it doesnt have to be exaggerated, just something that draws the line for suyu to stop talking shit about yishui (heh im actually her irl why are we so weak to defend things we disagree with)

the last immortal maybe not so much but very recommended for ALP if you want to see how OG yuemi and tianqi interact, their original characterisation and their backstory. their arcs are genuinely so good
tianqi (jingyuan) character was so good. ik it is basically standalone, they changed things but tianqi is such a silly character. he and yuemi (xingyue) is basically bickering partner, he is so lovable, cute and entertaining so if they followed his original characterisation for jingyuan later (in the drama as i dont read the novel) idt it is such a loss bc frankly i like tianqi more than fanyue π
they did his character so dirty π the eye colour was already great and chang huasen did good job too to potray his moli evil side but they had to ruin it with the cgi. i hope it will get better in the future π

I dont understand where, when and why fan yue start liking bai shuo bc it seems she has been special to him from the beginning (obv bc of the stone but that alone made him fell for her? that was abrupt to me and then he has amnesia and after that it very much established he likes her, basically from the beginning tianhuo is saying he treat her special but im not really seeing him treating her special (for the first few ep) it is more like the drama try to convince me through words of other character but the action is not really giving and even if he did treat her special, when is the turning point of his feeling is smth i cant figure out and bc of that im not really feeling the cp)

anyway im a simple person, if i cant see or understand the turning point of characters feelings and the later story couldnt convince me, i wouldnt be feeling them much, i would think they cute but that's it bc i wouldnt find them so well written compared to lovers who i can understand and see the turning points of their feelings

pls they are nothing like adolescent hormonal turbulence, i enjoy both mature and toxic love story but i genuinely think lingzhao story are written better. im saying this as a hardcore yuemi and tianqi lover btw, and someone who start MM simply bc of them, probably bc im actually not a fan of ARP potrayal as a demon, ik he is a good demon but i dont think he looks sharp or cunning (eventho he isnt one but i thought he should at least have this image) p/s i love ARP btw, im a blood of youth lover, and i think his puppy image is very much strong to my eyes
duan xu in love beyond the grave is good example of this, he was raised in the environment where he need to kill his peers to survive, many times he find him losing himself bc he find joys in killing, tho that wasnt the case at first. difference is he was really clever, had his memories intact, and able to pull himself out of it but even after years, when he were to fight someone he still had the bloodthirst to keep killing. my point is, for many that were put in this situation, not everyone will not lose themselves to the darkness. it all starts with no longer caring about other lives bc you keep on doing it. this is also true for many unfortunate things in this world, tragic thing keep happening due to indifference
