secondly, does this happen irl? fl brother is annoying me ngl but probably bc the drama used him as a forced interaction between leads so i dont really a fan of this kind of "forced interaction"? i really dont understand why he must go to another city just to treat ml for meals, just like the sister said they can always have another chance and it doesnt have to be today so like his enthusiasm is not smth i can understand and in the end ml even went back (i am not annoyed he went back but i need explanation for this actually) like when he stop from going to burger place, did he already see them or it was at different time? does he head back bc of his friend or his train was never going to helsin? and yes i havent finish ep1 so i apologise if this has been answered later

he probably was never offered. the thing about melon casting rumor is it loves to attach actors name to a rumored drama for publicity amd engagement, that is why one should always just pay attention to reliable account and ignore melon that are not posted by it

and if he is, so what?? i really hate the double standard people held for older woman x younger man pairing compared to older man x younger woman. there are criticism for the latter but it was never as annoying as the former. and the fact that most of these came from women is just so annoying bc they are projecting their preference to other ppl.

he surely probably will look younger bc of his baby face BUT he certainly wouldnt look like her son they definitely reaching. even song weilong x victoria and WHD x Qin Lan pairing look just fine to me. especially with the age gap between WHD x QL. She definitely look older and he look younger but they match and these kind of couple exist irl ppl need to stop being annoying just bc they dont like age gap couple.

also, CZY definitely look mature since his filming for white olive tree. i think with the correct styling etc he can definitely look mature and doesnt look much younger than her and even if he does, it is fine.

oh yeah i agree. my first choice for wen yifan is wang churan but i have long accept it will not happened so i just wish we got good actors that quite suit the description of the character.

i thought she looks quite okay in term of yifan description, not accurate but quite fitting. as for bjt, i can understand why he was chosen bc he has moles near his eyes and if you squint hard maybe we can detect some dimples 😅 i do hope ZRN can dance tho and that's one of the reason why she was casted

i havent watch her drama but i like her performance in her movies so i had no issue with her. personally i never knew people had issue with her acting bc i thought she can deliver what need to be delivered.

tbf current cast is already posted by reliable source so it's more likely confirmed unless there are last minute changes. while previous rumoured cast was never posted i do suggest following cdramarumours on twitter bc they did not repeatedly posted melon cast like other acc, but only those that came from reliable sources and most of it are accurate.

probably the biggest letdown of the year. i do drop pretty much early, basically waiting the story to finish but i just never pick it up again. the pacing is quite slow, time went fast so long for me to finish an episode. probably the thing that annoy me the most is all the searching and we still don't know who is behind it in the end? that's actually so stupid like idc open ending but to have an ending where the previous question was never answered just make me angry lol, and i'm confident we will never get season 2 so i refuse to pick it up again, this kind of play from the director doesnt worth my time.

love the whole cast performance tho especially my shuxin, she slay her assassin role so much. she proves again that she is such a good actress! the cinematography is really pretty and ugh i just love everything beside the plot lol. and by the plot, i mean the execution, and how they just left the most important part out till the end

i love this novel too much so im gonna lower my expectation about the adaptation, especially with the addition of second leads, i love all the actors announced and i'm personally happy with all the cast but i don't like when adaptation make big changes from good source of media. but i do have faith in bai jingting script choice.

i wish first frost would also have donghua because i think that will give the most justice to the adaptation. i was just imagining bai jingting in school clothes and now im worried lol, i hope they wouldnt make him nerd and do make him look like tough cool guy!

she has always been good in movies and i personally do not watch her drama not bc of her acting, but because of the plot. i mean tbf there are so many talented actors trapped in lousy script so i wouldnt say they are a bad actor bc of that

i saw that too and some of them seems like fan of other celebs (due to their profile picture) commenting on ml choice. i cant say anything if they are novel fans bc they have that right but if he was confirmed, i hope he can change their mind just like he changed hl novel fans opinion.

do we know how many episode this drama will have? i hope it will not go more than 30, but most probably it will be 36? long modern drama worried me. did anyone tried reading the novel? how is it?

this makes my heart feel heavy. i wish some fans will have critical thinking that it's not actors's fault but the production. ju jingyi is definitely the victim as she is more senior and has more experience in historical drama but it's not czy team fault that the production tell them something else. i personally wish czy team would just concede but this is about contract so it's no one fault but the production really.

i like both actors and i wish their filming will not be affected, it is so great when both fandom can get along as the actors wouldnt feel awkward with each other. wishing the best for all the actors and praying this issue will be forgotten soon

my bad that i only see one link but ty. but if it were true why didnt other melon acc post about them being sang zhi and jiaxu? also, there are also chen haosen, it is also unsure what role he will play. the latest melon also said xiaowen might play guest role instead so it make sense if he was jiaxu. i prefer not having a lot of sang zhi and jiaxu the way we dont have much of them in the novel.

still not answering my point about ZXW and ZMY being DJX & SZ. i knew about them being casted but it boggles my mind that people quickly assume they will play jiaxu and sangzhi when there is no confirmation, they could play any characters, yifan colleague, sang yan friend so it just so unfair when ppl already attack them when it was not even confirmed what roles they will play. DJX & SZ presence in this novel is never as big as SY presence on HL novel.

i also know some are not satisfied with the casting but bai jingting were amongs the people novel reader want back in 2022, and it's not like HL cast was favoured among cnets when they are announced. i am coming at you simply bc your assumption of second leads playing as DJX & SZ which was not confirmed so this opinion on them are just so...silly? why not write this when you had confirmation what roles they playing.

why are you so certain xiaowen and miaoyi are playing duan jiaxu and sangzhi? have you read the novel bc their roles are very minimal, there were no second leads in first frost and they are adding it in the drama but there were no confirmation they are playing these characters.

also, how is zhai xiao wen is so much worse? he can act, not as good as CZY but he has gentle image and sweet voice which fits DJX so how is he not fitting? in fact, if i remember right, before CZY was cast people were also not happy with his casting and some even want ZXW.
