to make you feel better, first frost adaptation announcement has been announced way before hidden love drama was released last year. first frost adaptation was announced in 2022 if i remembered right, and the rumoured cast has been circulating since the end of 2022 and victor ma was never among the rumoured cast. the producer (?) i believe also clarified sang yan in hidden love was not the same sang yan in first frost (they said this before hidden love was released in 2023)

do you know any other drama they have produced? i wanna see reference of their past work 😆

i personally dont think she is self centred and think she is able to do it all, but rather she strive to do it all? i dont remember much now but i view her as not wanting to depend on others, eventho she probably achieve nothing, and i like that so much about her. there are many characters in this world who likes to do thing alone not because they dont trust others but also bc they dont want others to get involved in their cause and they just too embarassed to ask for help, but they dont think they are better than others. i rarely seen character like her and that's why i like her so much because i think i am able to relate to every action of her. and i like it more when she let go of her revenge through all her experience like it's really nice to see.

i will take bai jingting and zhang ruonan for my sang yan and yifan over other cast any other day. both are really good actors than some of the previous rumored cast. my first pick is arthur, second is linghe and bjt never cross my mind. but bjt is much better actor than these two imo so i am not disappointed at all and he is very much attractive too. as for ruonan......people really disliking her as yifan? really? she played sad depressed character so well what's with the complain saying her childish.

i had no doubt bai jingting can do better than victor ma, i mean he is very chic and cool in you are my hero. he can be cold if he is supposed to act the role imo

i have seen some part of the scripts or novel (?) posted by people on twitter which made me curious is this originally from novel and the script is written by sakamoto yuji or is this sakamoto yuji original work?

i know the movie is beautiful which thanks to the directing of koreeda hirokazu but i hope people will equally give praise for sakamoto yuji bc the story wouldnt be possible without his writing. i have always love his works and i hope there will be more collaboration between them both.

see i was happy when i see soobin is the endgame but many want seonjae. is it bc he is an idol? me personally idk both of them neither do i have watch this show actually. it just throughout the airing episode, i have seen clips of both and i just like yeji & soobin interaction more, this tho might change when i get full context of the drama when i finally start it, so im a bit scared to start the show bc i might end up in sinking ship when i finally watch it lol, but i hope i'm still in this ship when i finally finish the show. also soobin is real cute, not a bad guy so why yall complaining is the second lead syndrome real strong here 😟

it's late but i find LLTG boring like i really dont care about shaoshang family and the early ep kind of centre around them (i stop watching at ep20) and ling buyi annoy me so i had to stop watching

TTEOTM just dont stick to me like i dont feel sad or anything im forcing myself to watch the show which i later drop also it could be bc im not a huge xianxia fan and tteom falls on more complex side, so it's hard for me to understand or get interested

SOKP...I LOVE IT but it cannot hold candle to LYF. especially it get uncomfortable watching through the end of the show, but i still rate it high bc i really enjoy the show although i think i'm quite unsatisfied with the way they developed ml & fl relationship

so overall, for me among these list, LYF is no 1, SOKP no 2, LLTG no 3 and TTEOTM no 4

the movie name is better days, and it was nominated in 2020. she didnt work in hollywood, it was a chinese movie. if you often look for sad chinese movies recs, you might stumble into some of her works because her specialty is sad movies.

if you never heard of her you might never heard of ml in better days either. he too is very much a movie actor, a very successful one too, a member of tfboys (if you knew them) and very much popular in china, more popular than any chinese actors you might knew from drama and a very talented actor. so i do strongly recommend watching better days, just for their acting :)

or you can watch us and them, she play alongside jing boran. If you knew the korean movie soulmate, she is also the actress for the original chinese movie of the same name and she play alongside with the girl who act in you are my hero! all of these personally are my personal faves of her work

that's literally bc she is more a movie actress than a drama actress. if you would just go to her page you can see how much drama she starred in compared to movies.

she has won countless best actress award for her movies. one of her highly praised work is better days, which is probably also her most popular work internationally, and was even nominated for oscar.

need motivation to start this, is the ost as good and heartwrenching in ALP? ALP ost is like one of the best in cdrama imo

no. falling for someone is something you cant control regardless of who they are, the thing is if you fall for wrong person (forbidden in this case), what one should do is avoid them and not to act on the feelings, THAT is something within one control.

but i seriously think it's ridiculous if a couple have broken up for years and still think they have hold over who their ex dating, or get angry if they friends date the ex (im saying this in general).

It could be bc their ex was trash and the friend stupidly still date the ex, they can get angry for that and still be friends but just let the friend learn the lesson themselves

It could be that they have broken up for years and still had some attachment or feelings towards the ex, so they felt betrayed when their friends date the ex, but in this case they no longer have this right bc the relationship has already end.
