totally but then again as much as i feel like they missing out maybe to them other characters story are not appealing as their ship. it's kind of sad bc i enjoy every episode from the start till the end and this is a great story to me but we are all different ppl and enjoy different things after all, altho some ppl really did only care about romance 😭

a lot of people kinda missed this but this is the story about two orphans: xiaoyao and cang xuan. other male leads are main leads but he is the main main leads along with xiaoyao. tbh this was kind of obvious if people watch the ending credit and trailer (ik some people skip on purpose)

thank you. before i start this drama i have heard some praise about zhang wanyi line delivery from chinese ppl so i been wondering about that and today i saw yangzi interview about her learning to master her line delivery so it got me curious again but this info help a lot!

unrelated to the drama but i have been curious for the longest time since i dont understand chinese but can someone explain the struggle of the line delivery that many chinese actors seems to have and still trying to master? especially if they are fluent with the standardised mandarin in china (since a lot of them have accent etc)

bc i dont seem to recall the line delivery debate with korean actors or english actors (except when they british playing american etc). i wanna know what is it in the language that makes the line delivery seems harder. is it due to the tone? bc that's one thing i struggle to understand in during my mandarin learning experience 😅

female lead is really great! she is both strong and weak! she is strong for she will never let herself be weak for men (in front of them) she protect herself from any pain hence she comes as ungrateful for some but i love that and relate to her. she prioritise herself. when she was in disadvantage or danger she knows how to protect herself and how to revenge. she is not nice and neither bad. she is weak mentally bc she is afraid of being abandon and lonely but she put a strong front by pushing them away and pretend it doesnt affect her when it does. personally this is my most favourite character of yangzi

i think it has lots of romance but not really main focus esp on second part of this season but that's just my opinion

Finish watching all episodes of season 1. what a great drama, what a great ride, what a great cast with lovely and well written characters. i have shed tears here and there, i fell in love with all leads and felt for each of them. there were never dull moment from the first ep for me (there are few slow scenes i have to admit)

My most favourite character remain cang xuan from the start till the end (xiang liu in the early part was really tempting for that #1 position but i remain strong 😂) this strong will is rooted from the fact that ZWY is my main reason watching this so i just want to root for him from the start but after i start watching, i no longer root for him as the romantic interest, i just felt for him as a character.

CX is probably the least like here (or jing im not sure) but i love this character. he is definitely not the nicest out of the leads and maybe the most cruel (?) but my heart goes for him. i have cried the hardest when he was addicted, witnessing him willingly destroy himself like that breaks me. CX never give himself a break and for that my heart ache for him. i also sob for him hard on the last episode, when he want to sent xiaoyao away, he was prepared to be killed and the speech he gave just break me. altho i do think it was actually nice if he was killed 😂 at least we wont get that future heartbreak shown in the trailer, but then the story will end. whatever he will do in the future at least i believe he will be a great emperor because he will gain all of the clans favour with peace just like how he gain his throne, as his grandpa said - he is much kinder than the former xiyan king (i really love this grandpa 😭)

this has officially been my most favourite cdrama this year and among my favourite of all i have watched in 2023. i hope we wont be deprived of that S2 for so long

true true i love the sfl as well and to think ppl are so early to judge and hate on her at first my heart really goes to the two of them the most. right, especially in this case the ml can achieve and overcome his trauma (?) or fears/insecurities without having to get the girl or just fell in love with new person but meeting fl just as smth for both of them to get over their past with. it would be really great if that was how the story end

i still wish he was the endgame 😭😭😭 i had to stop watching for a long time bc i cant bear seeing him so heartbroken the actor really do such a great job it just pain me seeing him willingly to walk out of their relationship, just bc he think she doesnt love him when she does. even talking about him still bring pain to me 😂 im tired of story where current partner had to give way to the leads old flame. im all wishing for the ml happy ending but it doesnt have to be with him getting the girl in the end imo

personally i dont see or neither do i feel it as forced romance the way i did with go ahead. that is what thrown me off from that drama too so you might share the same sentiment?

simply because it's a delight watching them. i personally in the team of idc who she end up with bc i dont get any lead syndrome here, in general i rarely get sls either (i only get once with minato in silent) but to answer yr question, i love their innocence love, i love his kindness and how she became so feminine with him. watching them bring a smile to my face and they have lots of cute moments that i enjoy watching but most importantly, i see and felt their love. so if you ask me to really rank her romantic interest ship it would be jing followed by xiang liu, xuan and feng long in that order.

and all that happened in the snow? beautiful!

i was in tears while laughing seeing xiaoyao and nian moment with xuan watching them. i love their family bond so much at least...xiaoyao and nian bond will last so im happy for that

the snow scene when xiaoyao and ah nian arrive at central plains and cang xuan having only one coat which he meant for xiaoyao, but when he saw them he dk who he need to give to (it's xiaoyao but he cant hurt ah nian 😂) he is such a family man through and through and that snow scene with only three of them was beautiful, if only that could last

ep35, i wonder how did xiangliu know the bow will come to xiaoyao hands? did he purposely dont want it anymore or he knows it will get to her hand eventually but how? is it bc she's the princess so it will reach her and he knew she will come to him

ppl do talk about him tho it just he is not the romantic interest and some ppl busy fighting for their ships

this is the old rumour cast right? i dont want to have high hopes but i too love all the lineup for NIF3: ZWY, ZXC & WL i love them all hoping it will stick with them

yall always doing this to fl character tbh what you want her to do? he send chubby to send her back without even meeting her when she regain concious, she was clearly saddened by it and ask 'does he not want to see her' what you want her to do besides just comply? wait for xiangliu? in her pov, it was never clear what he felt for her and he is always just sending her like that as much as i love him i too wouldnt let any man who im not sure of their feelings hurt me like that

i havent fully watch to ep39 but why some think it is disappointing? i know it end with cang xuan coronation and i thought it's a perfect ending for season 1 because after he became an emperor it is the start of new life for all of them, which is perfect to begin a new season 2. repeating the words i saw ytd, the story start with cx wanting to be an emperor and it ends with him as one. what kind of ending yall want for this season honestly?
