finish this. if people looking for morally right leads, this drama is not it. i wouldnt say they are horrible but more like they dont care that it's wrong or not as long as they not hurting anyone. i dont like the mother from the start till the end, she get her redemption arc but that doesnt erase the fact that she want to control everything for her son.

my favourite characters gotta be xia yuxin and the father. the father seems so sweet it just hurt me bc he think his wife will always choose him bc she choose him due to fl father not choosing her :(

only up to ep5 but i cant root for them no matter how cute they are. she is an adult and i wish even if they are in love they should had the romance when he is also an adult. i wouldnt label her as pedo bc that term is so loosely used now but she shouldnt indulge on his behaviour of pursuing her even when she is attracted to him.

i would understand if she lost to her feelings sometimes bc we cant control who we like but lots of time she allow it to happen, allowing him to get close to her, going on a date with him, tutoring him one to one, there was even one moment she flirt with him. she as an adult should have known better. she said she not gonna have anything with him but we all know she is lying. i just wish she struggle more in stopping his behaviour, that way i wouldnt feel that it is so wrong.

my fav student teacher romance till this day is still chugakusei nikki bc most of the time she try to stop him and know that she is wrong

he does but at that time his ex (?) clarify he did not cheat but have relationship with all these men (separately) smth like that so im just conveying from what i know and continue to like him. but he had more serious allegation going against him now so im no longer a fan

im sorry to all firefighter cast im pretty sure they did great job to educate viewers but im only watching the romance scene. im really interested to see how they fell in love, i'm already so in love with their interaction so far 🙈 one thing i wish is for she to never know it was him who save her and vice versa, that would be too cliche. it would be nice if it just the viewers who knew bc i believe irl these moments happened a lot; where we never get to know we once interact with our significant other

a time called you is not the same ugh im tired of seeing them being compared everyone in a time called you suffers and die at some point

and that actually annoys me a bit 😅 i dont mind him being head over heels but sometimes he misused his authority for her and i dont like it. i like the way shangjue more bc he is more fair and firm in that aspect

thank you! it make sense why i seem to miss it bc i watch this drama a week after it ends and after that i always see praise and even in mydramalist i dont seem to see that from new watchers so that's how i drew my conclusion. personally i dont want to understand why anyone would hate chen yunru at all bc viewers get to see characters pov, what they went through so instead of sympathising with her and they go on hating just bc of the main couple love story is smth i refuse to understand as i find that really childish

alright i am so curious about minju hate, to OG watchers who has finished ATCY, why was she deemed to be selfish here? does she really look like one? i dont recall such reaction to her character in SOOD (could i forgot about it? i personally only felt sad for her instead of finding her selfish bc she was already broken before they came to her life)

i havent reach the part in the kdrama but im curious why one would think the other fl as selfish/annoying in this version bc i have seen this kind of comment few times but in the OG i find her very pitiful i dont think i ever dislike her character

definitely not he's always favouring niaoniao since early ep, at least from what i have watched (i didnt finish the show)

i mean in a way that they came out of the situation differently where xiang liu fail to kill cang xuan and it's not her who save him, i still think they would be in good courtesy w each other after what happened, but all of it was fake iykwim. she definitely would have some resentment towards him but idt she would be so hostile

it is not a dream. they just get over the situation, prior to that they both dont hate or neither do they like each other. he is very distrusting person, he punish her bc of what she did to his sister and he's not really important to her so she plan to help XL killing CX but later discover he is her brother and saved him

so what happened is she is chill bc she came to knew of his identity (imo even if she didnt knew she would still pretty much treat him the same) and he is saved by her so he should be nice to her, that's how they are chill with each other like that. plus prior to that, both of them are like the type of person that can fake their courtesy just for the sake of maintaining good relationship and environment.

the scene in the original is a tribute to late yeh yung-chih and since he commit it kind of imply that the soul left the body willingly imo and the reason why LZW (sihyeon) soul able to enter WQS (yeonjun) body bc the owner no longer want to live

for me i find ep1 to be so boring, i hate the office scene basically i hate ep1 during my first watch until.....the end of the first ep that it fully caught my attention as i didnt expect the twist (the ring) so you could say by ep2, i was already fully seated lol. i have only watched up until ep4 of ATCY, the major difference would be:

1) ml character as ml in taiwan ver is very playful, cheeky and naughty but very lovable. that's why many viewers fell so hard for him bc he is very silly but so endearing. i enjoy AHS potrayal here but the character dont leave major impact for me the way taiwan version did.

2) conversation between ml and fl flows more naturally but i cannot attest this for sure since i was still in early ep of ATCY but imo, even in early ep of taiwan ver the conversation of them in 1998 just flows better, like how you would talk with your friends

3) more depth of minju and ingyu characters in ep3 as i think the taiwan version provide more details to their characters that i was able to connect and felt with them more. in ep3 when junhee read minju diary i dont really get what is depressing about it compared to when fl of taiwan ver read her doppelganger diary - but this could be just me!

on episode 2 and im really confuse, when did they exchange contact numbers? did they show it? at the end of ep1 it feels like she's replying to his message then get a friend request (im not sure bc it wasnt translated) but if it was the way i mentioned, when did they ever get e/o numbers like that? also suddenly the sister know the man? ngl i feel like i miss smth bc i do skip some of the work part 😭💀

firstly, it doesnt even get to happen he doesnt get to do that and she doesnt even get to go through that but you are right it is very stressful if it actually happened.

but the point is, all of those are his plan only which fail to be executed and later he died, she then try to find proof that he is cheating until she came to realise he never cheat at all, and intend to propose which add all the guilts and double the sadness imo bc she try hard to make him a bad guy to move on since he treat her so right, but only get another proof of his love for her.

just wanna share my favourite edit of this drama bc i miss them so much after watching the remake i wish i can make everyone watch this show bc this is one of the best drama ever

i personally wish they kept the ring scene in episode 1 similar to the original. before anyone come at me ik this is a remake and not everything had to be similar but it's one of the plot that left huge impact on me tbh. seeing fl looking for clues that he might cheat to be able to move on from him, only to discover he actually planned to propose to her all along is very impactful to me like that actually made me really sad when i discover it along with her. her desperation only to realise how much he love her again that realisation actually left my jaw dropped!
