the difference is, gong gong save xiang liu when he was helpless, tortured, at lowest point and a slave. he basically give xiang liu a new life.

xiaoyao and xiang liu start at different footing, he has power over her and he the one who force her to work for him. he is doing fine w/o xiaoyao blood before meeting her so i dont think he was ever felt so indebted the way he felt with his gong gong.

maybe he doesnt have loyalty to xiaoyao but i dont blame him, if i were saved by two person at different timing and conditions, the one that i will probably owe the most is gong gong too, realistically

an easy example, xiaoyao save jing hence jing is very loyal to her (excluding the love part), that is how gong gong is to xiang liu imo

imo she likes jing bc he can give her security but she is attracted to xiang liu and adore him (like) so basically she has heart for both guys but with xiang liu she is not really allowing it to happen and as kaka said she is not the type of person who gives her heart to any men so she will always choose someone who will put her first

yeah nevermind everyone has different liking i personally dont like yamg much and i dont think chemistry is smth that involves a lot of skinship, bc i have seen many not finding wu lei and reba has chemistry but to me i really love their dynamics in that show and i really love their love story despite no kiss whatsover i love how he start caring for her and she being stubborn but slowly caring for him too i love development like that

unpopular opinion, that is why i think he cant accept jing to be with xiao yao again later after jing 'betray' xiao yao because cx gave him warning but jing still break xiaoyao heart after that. after that incident, in my pov he dont think jing is able to protect xiaoyao bc she got too heartbroken after that, he is fine with her marrying feng long although both instance pain him bc he see fenglong as someone who can treat her well. well, just my and jing opinion

i saw someone down there saying cang xuan threatening jing sorry guys i see that as brotherly reminder (altho cx actually likes xiaoyao) he is valid with his status as xiaoyao brother and look hot doing that byeeee

cx priority is his throne but tbh i dont see him totally using her all the time, when she doesnt want to meet jing he doesnt press because imo he put her first despite what can benefit him, but she turn back bc 1) she want to meet jing 2) she want to help cx.

if she would just go, i think he would just let her be. him liking her could be one of the reason why he didnt press but i do see that as him respecting her wishes and he is openly admitting he need her and she allow it bc she knows what he went through

ep24 is the most i have shed tears for this drama seeing cang xuan willingly destroy himself to escape is breaking me. but was he destroying or abandoning himself? i couldnt tell the difference

because he dont know he only see fenglong doing the move, but i gotta say he is not using his brain there, bc fenglong is close with jing so if he just thought of it, he could make the connection that it was jing pushing feng long to him. but ig he thought he has made quite a good impression on fenglong the other day. that is his cons imo when he is too focus on smth he cant see anything else

oh i love when we get to see glimpse of xiang liu when she reject him to go with jing bring me back my xiang liu 😭😭😭 ffb cute and all but xiang liu >>>

they are cute but maybe they are third for reba pairing to me behind wu lei and johnny

in the novel they are cousins, but lost you forever team release relationship chart and in the chart they shows xiaoyao and xuan not being related

1) in ep1, her mother called the xiyan queen as master, her mother said she is not a xiyan to xuan when she leaving for war, the storyteller in qingshui town said xiyan queen has 3 sons and one disciple - the disciple being xiaoyao mother

2) when she met with xiyan king the king said smth about not resembling the grandmother and mother - which lead some viewers to think they are supposed to be related (personally i beg to differ)

i still think they are not a family in the drama based on ep1 bc it's clear the writer establish the relationship to be that way (despite the censorship or not). as for what the grandfather said, it could be a miss from the writer part or just smth that is not to be taken seriously as them being related imo

same he's cute and all but i have to disappoint everyone that i like mr traffic light more 😭 xl as a character is just more interesting, sexy, alluring and heartbreaking to me

ah i thought you meant the elements but frankly i dont really see the similarity in term of that either, probably bc the characters are too different for me. eg cx doesnt really act like jang uk i dont see jang uk as the type that would be ruthless like cx when it involves things that rlly matters to him, plus jang uk never rlly want to inherit (i forgot the name 😂) while cx want the throne for the revenge and to protect ppl he loves.

xl and crown prince too, xl is just more evil to me probably bc he is a demon (i love xiang liu btw). as for jing and seoyul ig i see it from the kind type but seoyul is strong while jing doesnt rly possess physical power imo

the way the scene transition from cang xuan being ignored in yue liang mansion to xiaoyao having all the ladies full attention is brilliant

his eyes were so red that i didnt notice the ears. just rewatched it, all i could think of, it must be energy draining acting out the scene 😮‍💨
