man, not even a fan but the hate he receive is ridiculous. firstly, i never see the controversial statement as misogynistic, some women share the same view and it is fine so if a woman can think that her being a mother is better and prefer to stop working, are we gonna attack them for having this mindset? plus if his partner is okay with it and he never force her to stop working, i do not see the problem.

secondly, i come across interview of him where he said he is not gonna force his wife to stop working. it gonna be her choice bc he cant just ask her to do that so that actually to me already solve whatever people are angry about in the first place? the sad thing is, that interview was never viral. why? because people choose to ignore it they just wanna hate and that saddens me i just cant see people getting hate for no reason regardless im a fan or not.

lastly, there is nothing wrong about his preference in shorter woman. some women are so hypocrite bc they can say they dont find short men attractive but men cannot say the same? where is the logic when both basically root from wanting to protect and to be protected. i never get why people are angry at this. we all have own preference but that doesnt mean we are so rigid that we must have our preference as our partner

if you look from cang xuan pov, he doesnt know jing is behind all the help he received, hence his ungratefulness. he see feng long as the front person. also, jing is an engaged man, as someone who is very overprotective of her, it make sense why he doesnt like him besides of just being a jelous fellow imo. not to mention, he was the one with her during all those days in xiyan (which we dk how many years has passed) he witness her getting sad and hurt for jing, while having his status as an engaged man and see it as him stringing her along. that is my analysis on why he hate jing, not only bc he is jelous but also bc he witness her hurting.

all things considered, as much as i love and hurt for all the ml and a xuan girlie, jing has always been the most deserving partner for xiaoyao. people need to think back about what xiaoyao want, someone who always put her first, someone who can accompany her for a lifetime, someone who can give her their attention, it's a bit toxic thinking on her side but that is the result of her trauma, and jing is able to comply with all. xiaoyao deserve that peace and most importantly she likes him too. (she likes him, ppl can argue with the wall if they think she doesnt)

jing strongest trait is his kindness but that also become his weakness, but that is what xiaoyao like about him, as she said she is a bit hard hearted, so she likes someone like him. imo it makes her feel a bit of humanity. it is so easy to become evil and treat the harm comes your way with the same evilness, it is harder to stay kind and ignore the ppl who hurts you and unfortunately some see this as a weakness, but this is definitely a strength in my book (and xiaoyao's too 😆) anyway, dengwei potray the character given to him very well. he is doing a great job based on the characters design and i wanna praise him for that. i definitely see him as this cute lost puppy and a very good naive kind of person.

and yangzi, we all can see she is slaying her role. she is the best performer in the drama for me

anyway i second yang zi aka xiaoyao ppl can think he is using her but if she is willing and doesnt feel bad for being used at all, is that really using? each to their own i guess. to me, that was her main purpose on becoming princesss again, a decision she made without being forced by anyone, which solely to help him to get to the throne.

that and bc jing hurt her, unintentionally. we dk how many years has passed in the deity world but cx is the one who stay with xy the most all those times. he saw her getting smitten by jing, he saw her getting sad when he stop sending wine, he knew her pretending not to care bc jing has hurt her (unintentionally) most importantly, he saw jing as an engaged man which he repetitively said. he dont see jing able to break the engagement and commit to xiaoyao. distrusting is his nature, we saw this from earlier ep with xiaoliu.

hence, i dont think it is based on pure jelousy but also root by the fact he witness her getting hurt. ppl can say he use xy at some point but he has never hurt her after knowing who she is, never make her unhappy & force her to do anything she dislike, so i see it as one of those parents moment where they treat their child so well that they dislike ppl who hurt their child.

regardless her liking fl or not, he still let her marry someone else that is not him. fenglong is his buddy, someone who he view as capable (bc he help him directly) and most importantly is not an engaged man. that's why he is fine with fenglong beside his jelousy towards jing imo. jing too at the end of the novel acknowledge xuan doesnt see him capable but he see fl as one and this only amplify later when jing 'marry' ffyy and hurt xiaoyao again.

anyway we can agree to disagree i dont doubt at all he doesnt like jing bc he is jelous of him but i dont think it was pure jelousy, that's all. after all, he did warn jing not to hurt her.

nah i dont think he knows like from jing pov if it were me it make sense why xuan brought her away, there were mess and she was getting a bit unhappy and sad with the whole jing engagement situation, so it would be totally normal for her brother to cheer her up and bring her away from the place and situation

yup after today ep i see him resigning his fate as her brother that's why he said to be a good brother to her it just later on he gets more unhappier and it doesnt help that he doesnt like jing. personally looking at his pov imo he would be fine with jing if he is not engaged bc he doesnt look hostile with feng long trying to get with his sister

the difference is, gong gong save xiang liu when he was helpless, tortured, at lowest point and a slave. he basically give xiang liu a new life.

xiaoyao and xiang liu start at different footing, he has power over her and he the one who force her to work for him. he is doing fine w/o xiaoyao blood before meeting her so i dont think he was ever felt so indebted the way he felt with his gong gong.

maybe he doesnt have loyalty to xiaoyao but i dont blame him, if i were saved by two person at different timing and conditions, the one that i will probably owe the most is gong gong too, realistically

an easy example, xiaoyao save jing hence jing is very loyal to her (excluding the love part), that is how gong gong is to xiang liu imo

imo she likes jing bc he can give her security but she is attracted to xiang liu and adore him (like) so basically she has heart for both guys but with xiang liu she is not really allowing it to happen and as kaka said she is not the type of person who gives her heart to any men so she will always choose someone who will put her first

yeah nevermind everyone has different liking i personally dont like yamg much and i dont think chemistry is smth that involves a lot of skinship, bc i have seen many not finding wu lei and reba has chemistry but to me i really love their dynamics in that show and i really love their love story despite no kiss whatsover i love how he start caring for her and she being stubborn but slowly caring for him too i love development like that

unpopular opinion, that is why i think he cant accept jing to be with xiao yao again later after jing 'betray' xiao yao because cx gave him warning but jing still break xiaoyao heart after that. after that incident, in my pov he dont think jing is able to protect xiaoyao bc she got too heartbroken after that, he is fine with her marrying feng long although both instance pain him bc he see fenglong as someone who can treat her well. well, just my and jing opinion
