Revisiting this page because I had just finished bingeing LoSL TWICE! When i watched PA in 2020, I had a hard time moving on. I actually read the whole novel thrice cuz I just cant get enough. Both CQ and YWY were badass in their leagues! And now that I’m here, I feel like rereading the novel again 😆 I think the novel has the most badass FL ever, gosh how I wished they made s2 so we can have visual closure.
Does anyone know where I can read the novel translation? The one on shushengbar dropped it and on MTL was too horrible to decipher. MTL translation is even worse than on google translate, for starters XiaoQi had so many names that I keep getting confused, sometimes the machine would write Xiao Qi, Xiao Yan, Xiao Xiao, Xiao Min, Xiao Huai, Xiao Yue my god it’s so hard to keep track and they all refer to Xiao Qi! Xiao Yan had the most appearance, i wonder if the character Qi was similar to Yan that made the machine confused? All in all it’s too frustrating trying to understand the one on MTL. Try this, —- "Um." I answered slowly, and for a while, he called my name.
Xiao Yan suddenly turned around and looked at me with a smile, "Your name is Grandma." —-
What do make of that? Frustrating right? That was only the part where Xiao Qi called Wang Xuan’s nickname, A’Wu for the first time 😒😑

Oh u mean general song huai-en’s sudden obsession over FL! Yeah i dont get it too. It’s too sudden and pretty disgusting. How can he lusts after his own boss’s wife is beyond me
….i feel like FL has more screen time with general song than with ML…. (Up to ep 26) that’s kind of disappointing…
Oh well, he’s a general leading thousands of soldiers into battle. It would be ridiculous if the wife tags along. Would be a different story if her character was Mu Guiying-like, but she’s not so she cant shadow him into battle.
Take out Mai and Mr Xu out of the picture, he’d be dead even before he manage to get to his father’s army. To take over command. He’s so damn lousy. The only thing that’s been keeping his head on his shoulders is her family’s connections and loyal people.

Agree. He was minister of war and ML was just a regent, I think he was brazen because he got the rest of the corrupt noble’s backing. And the dowager’s too!
Basically because it is not explained how FL is alive at the end, because she appeared to die in the last episode.…
I take it as a happy ending. The FL died once earlier and she looked dead then too 😜 maybe she took the same wine Zijin gave her for her first death and fake-died the second time so they can hide from the court.
Haha i thought i am the only one who thought this show was boring. But i did better than you, i finished it 🤣 imagine my ordeal! You missed the best part of the show, the last 3 episodes!
Ikr! I cant wrap it around my head how come a general can be so dumb and reckless? She has no strategy whatsoever and acts more like a common foot soldier, which is to bulldoze whatever’s ahead and hope for a miracle. I actually dropped this show at episode 5. It’s so draggy and I cant stand the FL’s immaturely clueless stupid moves. The only thing that’s consistent throughout the 5 episodes is her suspicion of Feng Xi.
Was not that bad, the problem is if the actor from the first season continued it would be so much better.It drags…
One thing that they didnt show in the series but is in the novel is that the black horse was one of the reasons why NQ passed his Academy entrance exam, its the fiercest horse that threw every other candidate but NQ because he threatened to kill it if it doesnt obey. He then got it as his personal horse for the wilderness trip because it’s the only horse strong enough to carry his heavy magical weapons forged by his shixiongs. I guess thats the black horse depicted in season 2 though it never got featured in season 1
