The first three episodes involve a lot of setup, the story takes off once they're on the road traveling. Having…
Honestly i never realized this show was categorized as idol drama cuz i wasnt familiar with any of the casts other than Liu Shishi for scarlet heart (wasnt really impressed of her looks and performance there though). In my mind idol drama would include super well known actors like leo wu, yang mi or the likes, those really established personas. I guess my understanding of idol drama is lacking.
No romance between hytt and lyr. The producer lady(step mom from blossom) said hytt and lyr characters are teacher…
Yea i know. They shouldnt have hired her if she couldnt fulfill the very essence of the adaptation. It is disappointing because the couple Xing-yue is the best part of the novel (and princess agent!) and to reduce their relationship as master-disciple is a total downer. I was so dang looking forward to seeing a pregnant chu qiao fighting in the frontline š
Fugui is cold, strong, less talkative .So qiu shui is a crybaby? š¤If you don't have a way out or your family…
Like i said. I am not interested to rant on TJOL. This page is of sword and beloved and not TJOL. I just wanted to make sure his character isnt like in TJOL before starting on this title is all. No need to be so triggered. š
Everyone hi, I have a question, and apologies if itās already been answered but, I really want to start watching…
I didnt watch red moon pact (and not planning to cuz i didnt quite like yang mi and people say that show was really bad) but i watched love in pavilion. And since sword and beloved is the sequel of love in pavilion then it would set a clearer background story if u could watch it. It a lovestory of fuguiās parents and it suposed to explain how his dadās character came into being, and the background of the alliance and how and why the animosity with the demons happened.

Good to know fugui is an exact opposite of qiushui. ā¤ļø
And Yes his character was a crybaby there and nope that was not his family at all, it was the novel characterās family that he was well aware had nothing to do with him from the start. Anyway i wont start rambling about TJOL, has had my fill doing a review on that. Im just glad heās back playing the cool and aloof character and not emotional one is all. At first I dont think id watch sword and beloved as i knew it would be a tragic ending, but from the chats here, it looks promising. I might pick it up, with hope that it would be as good as mysterious lotus casebook. MLC had a sad ending but it was a good show, so hopefully this one is as well.
The directing and screenwriting for this drama (as of all seven released episodes) in terms of enabling Cheng…
Nah of course nobody can fault him for the character that he didnt write. I just cant stand his crying in TJOL. It looked overdone and fake. And the poor screenwriting made it worse.
Glad his character fugui wont do much crying like he did on TJOL. Heās better off playing the cool and aloof characters, not emotional ones.
Fugui and Qintong's lovestory is everything š. Despite what happened ml and fl had no miscommunication which…
There wont be happy ending with fox matchmaker series cuz they all end in the period era. In the manhua, the couples only got their happy ending when they were reincRnated into the modern world, an arc that the production doesnt include in any of the matchmaker series.
Sigh.i dont see the relevance of your comment to mine. My comment about the FL being minor is of HuangyangTiantian as Chu Qiao in Rebirth, not young Chu Qiao in Princess Agent. She was not yet 18 when they were filming and news from her side has circulated that they only agreed to sign on to this project if there was no romance (due to her age). So my disappointment is for REBIRTH where it is implied that there wont be any romance between Chu Qiao and Yuwen Yue because the FL is a minor during filming. I hope i made myself very clear.
And yes, i understood very well that people marry young back then, but this is not something you can see on screen NOW. And the actress being a minor is a hindrance for romance scene especially when her co star is 10 years older.
Oh btw, Chu Qiao and Zhuge Yue in the novel only became intimate and romantic after she was well over 20years old, and got married even later.
I have only watched a 1-hour recap of the whole series on youtube video and i cried buckets! And to know that it was based on a real diary of Aya was even more tearjerker. I wouldnt be able to handle sitting through the whole series without my tearglands going into overdrive mode. š
I binged the entire 40 episodes in 3 days. I donāt mind the sad ending since sometimes it cannot be avoided…
Concur with all your points especially that bratās part. Stupid and impulsive to the end, im just so mad he got to live while all those great guys who could have really changed the world during their lifetime lost their lives instead. Itās rare that i could hate a non-villain character this much.
Rewatching this for the third time. Dang my tearglands are gonna be working overtime.
Just came to the part where Qian Zhao went to call on Ning on the carriage, and then whispered ā1,2,3,4,5,6ā¦.ā as if he was conveying secret intelligence, while Ruyi was stuffing cloth inside Ningās uniform for his injury, all done so that brat would see their affection. Totally unexpected move from the straight-faced Qian Zhao to add wound to the bratās heartbreak. š¤£š¤£
The comedy scenes on this show were so original! I laughed as much as i cried, thats why i keep coming back for more.
Hands down ! These was by far the most morally corrupt plot I have seen in an asian drama.
And here i thought china government is really strict about not letting this kind morally corrupt plot from seeping in. I can understand if this was a webnovel, but to be able to materialize it on screen is mindblowing. This, when so many adaptation got botched cuz they had to change from novelās original plot due to chinaās taboos and stuff.
