Go to mydramanovel.com and look for Rebirth from the novel list. They have the latest edition of the novel after the author omitted the plagiarized parts.

She was 17 during filming. Duh. And it’s the family’s deal that she wont have any romance in the show. So yeah. It’s the age. And poor selection by the production team. Believe me i am one of those people who anticipated S2 of Legend of Chuqiao (princess agent) because of the romance, since it had no closure in S1. We want to see the main characters reunited as a couple just as they had in the novel, i am more than happy if the rumours were wrong and they really had that couple relationship on screen. But seeing that the actress was 17 during filming and her co star 28, i wont get my hopes up too much. Especially when i heard the family deal had been romance had to be out of the table to have huangyang tiantian in the show.

Lol Zhu Yu novel is definitely Female Centric, exactly like legend of female general, legend of chu qiao and Fight for Love but somehow people still complain about ML not having as much screentime as the FL. 🙄 funny lot.

One of the best cnovels i read so far, i reread it 5 times since PA cuz i just couldnt move on from the cliffhanger. The novel healed my wounds. Have a go at it! You wont be disappointed.

The novel had a very happy ending where they rule their own kingdom with children. The FL only starts being romantic with ML after she was 20yo and this only happens after she cut ties with yanxun. I cannot say the adaptation would be the same as the novel since they decided to hire an underaged actress.

Can somebody tell me at which episode does this annoying xijun and her footboy would disappear from the plot? I really cant stand the both of them. Am only enduring solely for su wuming, even one lu lingfeng already gets on my nerves, now that xijun and the boy wanna tag along to the south, i dont think i can continue on with the show. If there’s an episode where they finally detaches from su wuming and lu lingfeng, then i’ll jump straight to that episode instead of dropping this altogether.

What’s even funnier, i started on the show solely because i liked ML’s performance in Eternal Brotherhood, but found his character here very lacking of prudent judgment and finesse of a general so i end up staying on for another character instead. Putting this on hold until somebody replies. The accidental favourite character cant top my annoyance at the 3 others. So yeah. On hold it is.

Yeah she’s my fav character too. She’s like the botherline cute-naiive-ruthless kind.

It only got kinda sad towards the end, so maybe a quarter box is enough 😅

Yeah im keeping myself optimistic. And because i totally love li yunrui after his stunning performance on blossom, im just gonna treat this show unrelated to princess agent.

I agree the OST of princess agent remains my all time favourite, followed closely by A Journey to You’s.

I have nothing against huangyang tiantian, but i think the production is too damn stupid to knowingly hire an underage kid to play the FL that people know would marry the ML and then botch the adaptation by turning that anticipated relationship into a platonic one just because of the actress’ age. I mean, there are thousands of other adult actresses in cdramaland, why the heck would you disappoint PA’s fans by doing this? I am just beyond mad.

Yes in the novel that was what happened, which was why i mention that was the best part of novel and most anticipated to see on screen. Thats also why i am waaaaay disappointed to know that there wont be any romance for zhuge-chuqiao in rebirth. I’ve read from many outlets that romance was replaced with master-disciple relationship between zhuge and chu qiao because huangyang tiantian was underage during filming.

Yep prrincess agent production team really botched the adaptation for me, which was why i had rated it average. If i had written the review before i finished the novel, the rating wouldve been higher really, cuz i had a hard moving on from the show. I rewatched Princess Agent 4 times and reread the novel 5 times cuz i just couldnt move on. It was disheartening to hear that there won’t be any romance between the mainleads of Rebirth, as the couple’s developing relationship is the best part of the novel. Sigh. I’d just had to treat Rebirth as nothing to do with the novel as consolation 😣
