I agree the OST of princess agent remains my all time favourite, followed closely by A Journey to You’s.

I have nothing against huangyang tiantian, but i think the production is too damn stupid to knowingly hire an underage kid to play the FL that people know would marry the ML and then botch the adaptation by turning that anticipated relationship into a platonic one just because of the actress’ age. I mean, there are thousands of other adult actresses in cdramaland, why the heck would you disappoint PA’s fans by doing this? I am just beyond mad.

Yes in the novel that was what happened, which was why i mention that was the best part of novel and most anticipated to see on screen. Thats also why i am waaaaay disappointed to know that there wont be any romance for zhuge-chuqiao in rebirth. I’ve read from many outlets that romance was replaced with master-disciple relationship between zhuge and chu qiao because huangyang tiantian was underage during filming.

Yep prrincess agent production team really botched the adaptation for me, which was why i had rated it average. If i had written the review before i finished the novel, the rating wouldve been higher really, cuz i had a hard moving on from the show. I rewatched Princess Agent 4 times and reread the novel 5 times cuz i just couldnt move on. It was disheartening to hear that there won’t be any romance between the mainleads of Rebirth, as the couple’s developing relationship is the best part of the novel. Sigh. I’d just had to treat Rebirth as nothing to do with the novel as consolation 😣

Gosh thanks for this review. I am at ep 12 and its getting on my nerve with each episode after the promising first 2 episodes. I keep telling myself maybe it gets better afterwards. But okay this review is the final straw. Honestly i dont feel the spark between them even now at ep12, and to think that theyll sleep together at ep14 is mehhhhhhh. Okay im clocking out from this nonsense. Thanks ya.

Didnt have much expectation on this one when i read the synopsis on wetv, but clicked anyway as i was bored. Heck, turned out it’s one of the good miniseries out there. Love the sassy no nonsense FL. Every move she makes is one satisfying step into exacting her revenge.

That makes two of us 🙁 but im still looking forward to Rebirth because of li yunrui. I’ll just pretend that it has nothing to do with the novel and enjoy the show as standalone instead.

Honestly i never realized this show was categorized as idol drama cuz i wasnt familiar with any of the casts other than Liu Shishi for scarlet heart (wasnt really impressed of her looks and performance there though). In my mind idol drama would include super well known actors like leo wu, yang mi or the likes, those really established personas. I guess my understanding of idol drama is lacking.
