Funnier even when they decided to off XQS right after. OMG o definitely did not see that coming. I thought the tragic ending was Tang Fang dying due to that little stunt she did with her father 😂 but anyway, none of the deaths here affected me that mich other that thinking it was too bad so many capable people died for this old general to come and impale the enemy’s general in the end (which any of the warriors could do anyway). Please educate me as i am a non chinese speaker trying to learn some. In the drama, the thing that everyone was after is called tianshu (if i dont hear it wrong) - which i roughly translated as heavenly book. Why did the subs translate it as Voidheart Codex?

Just curious as non chinese speaker, i noticed feng baobao’s and some other characters from s1’s accent is rather weird sounding. Were they speaking in different dielects instead of the official mandarin? I noticed two occasions where FBB used “ngo” to refer to “me”, which is cantonese (it’s the most familiar word that i noticed cuz i grew up with HK movies) instead of “wo”, but the rest of her speech im pretty certain is mandarin. This different-sounding mandarin is more obvious in s1’s outsider competition where i first noticed it.

I dont watch modern cdrama (i only watch ancient cdrama) so not sure if this is common in other cdramas.

Whatever, sequel or not i am already disheartened that theyre not going to make the duo a couple anyway. My most fav cnovel couple and theyre going to ruin it just because they decided to cast a minor for the lead role. What a bummer. If this is true then it’s going to be even a bigger botch than princess agent.

Thank you for your review. I especially cant stand bad FL, it’s the first thing i try to find out before starting to watch any drama. And from your review, not only is the FL extremely stupid and irritating, it also involve unnecessary misunderstanding that couldve been resolved much earlier. The ridiculous misunderstanding reminds me a lot of A Dream within A Dream where the emperor suspected his 10yo son devised the plan for assassins to attack and kill the empress while they were out of the palace and has been ostracising him ever since. Omg what a ridiculous misunderstanding, whoever wrote that has a truly fcked up brain. As if they couldnt come up with better more sound excuse.

Lol if that shot made it to screen, then it’s the editting and director’s fault for not noticing it before releasing. How is it the actor’s fault now? The director shouldve noticed it first hand during filming and he couldve ordered a reshoot or have the editting team edit that out, how come this fault goes to the actor? 🤣🤣 am not a cheng yi fan, and even i think this article is pure stupid.

Yeah i noticed she was young chu qiao. The mole is the first thing i noticed and how i recognized her when i saw the trailer for rebirth. For those who has read the novel, it’s definitely a disappointment cuz they decided to change the best thing about it. Maybe i’ll just consider it a series that has nothing to do with princess agent or the novel. 💔🤷🏻‍♀️ it’s too bad cuz li yunrui wouldve been awesome for zhuge yue (based on his performance in blossom) and i was so looking forward to zhuge (yuwen) yue reconnecting with the love he almost lost on princess agent.

From what i read and seen on the trailer, it is obviously a sequel. I would be elated if its a remake, because i consider princess agent a lousy product for an adaptation of my ultimate fav cnovel. but since the novel is about zhuge yue and xing er as a couple, it’s definitely botching the novel even far worse than princess agent had been if they made the ML and FL not be a couple just because they decided to hire a minor for the lead role. Ultimate botch. My heart gonna break all over again 💔

I dont know. Im at ch1xx but so far it has only been very gloomy, dark with underhanded tactics and twisty scheming in the book. It’s hard to picture if they make it comedy.

Wow that definitely never crossed my mind. Before this i thought maybe their voices arent suitable for the roles. But since i’ve heard some of their original voices off the drama and theyre not bad at all, it left me kinda puzzled. And since i am not chinese literate, i did not notice the accent.
