SORRY for people who like it But it’s my opinion …almost all females exaggerates in acting in this drama,…
I think the comedy effects are overdone. Sometimes their moves are over-the-top. I just bear it cos exaggeration is typical in most dramas. But I really like this drama so far...I put the others on hold to watch this one even. Acting wise, I think they're all okay.
For those who are also watching Royal rumors, can you tell me if ROTF has more actions and more developped stories?…
I am watching RR too but after I started watching this one here, I couldn't stop. I enjoy watching the bickering between the 2 leads and I'm bias toward the FL cos she's cute and smart. The storyline is also more interesting for me except maybe the part of the "green tea" concubine. But there seems to be more than meets the eye so it keeps me wanting to find out more.
Haha ya maybe a bit too perfect …definitely written by a woman
Haha...seems like it. The FL is said to be perfect but that perfection doesn't come across that obvious to me. Sure, she has many merits and I like her but her perfection seems to stem from her background more than her character according to how she was often described.
Why is the ML so perfect? It's not a surprise for MLs to be written to perfection but I think the writing is one but who plays it is another. QBR just aced the role. And I read in an article that he's very filial IRL to his granny who brought him up after he was abandoned. Wow, is this man real?
Episode 16 reminds me of that one episode from Healer drama where Ji Chang Wook character kept following Park…
I know that scene! But it didn't remind me of the same cos in Healer, it was the guy following the girl. But as I watched this drama, I kept thinking what would happen if JCW played the ML here.
I've always loved Jing Boran although he doesn't act in a lot of dramas.. There's just something about him that's…
I watched him first in A League of Gentlemen and was surprised at how good he is. And when I first watched this drama, I thought he seemed about the same as the character he played in A League but boy was I wrong. He's so good! I'm wondering even if my fave K-actor can match his skill.
This drama has so much feels. TBH, I don't understand why I'm enjoying it so much. In fact, I don't even understand why a story like that can capture an audience. Yet, every time I watch it, I'm grinning myself silly whenever I watch the 2 interact. How FL looks at ML and how he seems so cool on the outside but his mind is always on her. Both the leads are doing such an exceptional job in their micro expressions. And the director is good at capturing the minute details.
Right now, I just want to watch more of them. I also want to see how the story will progress between the boy's father and the FL's colleague.
I like the flow of this drama with flashbacks rather than 3/4 of drama in school setting and the ending few episodes…
Yeah, I like the flow too. I usually don't enjoy flashbacks but I find them well done in this one. I don't even know if I should call them flashbacks. Haha.
Watched till ep 9 and find this rather cute. Scenes where ML pressed the kid for info on the FL or how they came to find out someone had a crush on the FL really made me grin like a chesire cat. I am watching without any idea of the main point of the show but find this a good watch so far. Ep 1 and 2 were slightly boring but if you can pull through, you might like how they unveil their love story, past and present.
I think the kid’s father and ml are comrades. They’ve went through hell and back with their line up work.…
Ya...should be. But he doesn't want her to have the kid so I guess that's why he's not sending him back to his mom. I read it as he doesn't want to burden her since he felt he owed her after the divorce. Maybe he wants her to move on and remarry and easier for her without a kid.

When I heard the ML explaining the situation of the child to FL in ep 3, I get the impression that the buddy didn't want to bother the wife now cos he's got the child's custody and she was compensated with alimony cos he felt he owed her. Something like that.
I've come across such cases IRL so I don't find it odd. Sometimes with the struggles one got to face as a single…
I understand your stand and I would not too. But I also understand different people have different threshold. Some parents have broader boundaries, while others are stricter. So that's why it was not odd to me.
I've just finished ep3. Anybody else find it odd that the kids father would allow his son to go w/ a stranger…
I've come across such cases IRL so I don't find it odd. Sometimes with the struggles one got to face as a single parent, any help is godsend. Also, in the show, the kid didn't end up with a stranger.
He prolly intends to work extra hard this year on two dramas and a film & maybe he'll take a break next year
I read that. I'm not familiar with their industry to know the pros and cons but I guess there's definitely more flexibility especially when it comes to his own schedule.
"Annarasumanara" was a big hit on Netflix last year and "Lovestruck in the City" was also well received in Korea…
I personally like The Sound of Magic and Lovestruck more than his previous works. Also these two works were well received either globally or in Korea. Side-eye your sweeping comment "all of his post-military dramas were either major bummers or flops".
Also, if his works were less-than-stellar like you've claimed, it's really amazing he still managed to win 2 major awards these 2 years. He must be doing something right!
Oh, I hope my comment will not be called out as being passive-aggressive just because it's different from yours.
I don't usually watch revenge genre but I gave this a go. I like that it started really disturbing and violent but ended warm and hopeful. The ending was satisfactory and gave me the Shawshank vibe.
Best acting award goes to YHR who really convinced me as KHN. First time watching Jung Sung II and he has definitely caught my eye. Would have loved to see more interactions between him and MDE but I still like how the writer penned out their story.
