So glad JCW had the courage to take on different roles and not caved in to fans' requests to only do action dramas or act as alpha male. Otherwise he wouldn't have won this award.
I watched him in quite a few shows but it may surprise some, the one that really got me was actually lovestruck…
Lovestruck is actually my favorite drama out of all his dramas. Unfortunately the format seems to turn many off. The content is interesting and the characters are well fleshed out. Acting was great. JCW always looks the part he plays. Nothing over-the-top nor superfluous.
After watching the ending for this, I won't complain about the ending of AOL or the many other xianxia ending where the couples only reunite for a few seconds. At least in those, I see real people in embrace. Here I only see flowers. Seriously, the ending could have been better done so that viewers could linger over it. Goodbye My Princess (not xianxia) made me linger over the drama even though it was a tragic ending.
Finally finished part 1 and moving on to part 2. The story is intriguing enough for me to want to continue watching. As for the acting, they were all excellent but a shoutout to YHR. She was the best for me. SHK definitely looked the part and convinced me that she's MDE. IHY acted well as PYJ but something in her mannerism did not convince me that she was born rich. Seems more like someone who is nouveau riche. Her younger self looks more the part of someone born rich.
The sky kingdom is terribly over-lit. This director has no taste, no one should let him near a heaven set. He…
I think he's better creating the demonic realm. It's quite beautiful. Even the costumes and makeup are attractive. The same with AOL. I love the scenes in the demonic realm back then.
I agree. And I also humbly admit my own mistake. When I saw this I was like this is some fluffy A-B Budget drama…
One of those times we are happy to be wrong. The initial trailer was quite poorly pieced together so it didn't get me excited. But so glad it is SO GOOD!
When I first saw the trailer for this drama, I thought, "oh no, not another silly, low-budget xianxia!" But I checked out for the sake of the 2 main leads. Wow, I am glad I did! This reminds me of AOL, which I also started lukewarm but it got so so addictive that I re-watched it many times. I only realized it's by the same writer when I read the comments. No wonder!
This is not epic but rather, fun, entertaining and heartwarming. The pacing of the story is good. Love that the angst and silly tropes like memory lost is short and not dragged out. Also that the FL got the power but never turned evil. Love all the side characters and I hope we get some sort of closure for them too eg. Wu Dai.
I don't care if there's romance. I'm rooting for Wookie to be in with a name like JDY! I'm more concern about his health and well-being because The Worst Evil is action and if this is also action, then it can be strenous. Reminded me of the year(s) he did K2 and Fabricated City and the Whirlwind Girl. He did say it was taxing on his body.
Glorious has announced today that their exclusive contract with Chang Wook has expired. We don't know yet what…
I like that at least it was reported they parted ways "beautifully" so won't expect any sabotage. By his recent news coverage and offers, might be a good thing.
I like the drama from the beginning and would say it's a fun watch but only came to love it from ep 30 onwards and couldn't wait for more. I think the love came with the transformed ML. The chemistry between the couples is excellent and the scene where Chao Feng met his FIL is so hilarious. Looking forward to see how the FL will take on her fate in the episodes to come.

I think it'll be a HE like AOL.
