I guess the dark family trauma as a bigger problem is slowly approaching.
I can’t remember if that happens in the manga, but it makes sense. Utaka needs to deal with his hurtful family.

This episode filled me full of warm fuzzies remembering rainy day back porch picnics! Missing my Momsie, but in…
Thats so nice and the show is ultimately about family.

This show makes me so happy. It’s like taking a warm bath. I love that the woman in the office is helping him. I love that the biggest problem is the weather. It’s just so lovely.

We’ll have to see if JH can figure out what’s going on and reach him or if JW can work it out himself.

Maybe it’s better that he stays away from JH if he can’t really be with him. Not great for a HEA in a BL though.

He also probably doesn’t believe he deserves to be loved because of his brother.

He’s been reading the messages and he’s going to classes. He could text him and give some kind of a response. Even if it’s just to say he can’t deal with it.

I think the drama has done a pretty good job at letting us know what Jae Won is feeling. Down to literally telling…
I meant what’s he’s feeling about Ji Hyun. I don’t think he talked about that with the therapist. Maybe he can’t separate it from the accident or has guilt, but it would be good if we could know that.

Yea, it looks like the "country mouse" is the brave one after all.
I’m so proud of how he’s matured and is owning how he feels. I’ve seen comments about JW being traumatized, but he could at least have replied that he didn’t want to talk to him for awhile instead of ignoring him.
On The Eighth Sense Apr 19, 2023
Wow, Jae Won is being a real coward. The show needs to let us in on what he’s feeling because otherwise he comes off as a real shit. Ji Hyun is so honest with his feelings and brave. I love his roommate and friend being so supportive. I hope this ends happily and we get some fluffy scenes or this will be a real bummer of a show.

Am I missing something? I haven't seen Tutor since day 1. hahaha Will he show up in EP10????
I’d bet he’ll show up in the last episode to set up the premise for Middleman’s Love. I thought the two couples storylines happened at the same time, but maybe they changed the timeline. It would suck to have to go back and watch Uea suffer again in the background while watching the other couple get together.

King is just GONE on Uea. It’s so cute how he just stares at him lovingly.
Glad to see the step-molester get what he deserves.
I’m happy Uea could take that step. It only took 9 episodes, lol. King has grown so much and handled his parents really well. Good for him. Maybe King’s mom can fill that need in Uea’s life because he was so mistreated by his own mom.
It’s lovely to see them so sweet to each other and for Uea to take care of King too. God, we all deserved this fluff after 8 episodes of pain!

yeah u are right how can his mom does not believe himshe is fucking strict
She’s worse than strict. She beat him and locked him in a room after refusing to believe him let alone protect him. She’s a monster.

That is not limted to Japan. Gastro-BL has become quite common in Thailand and South Korea as well.
I think it’s the writing and how well they use the short episode length to still tell a really good story. It’s impressive when I compare them to Thai BL’s which can be long and bloated and STILL not tell a cohesive story. Plus the JBL’s are usually beautifully shot as well.

Thanks for recommending that one. I’ve never seen it, so on my list it goes.

That’s true but there’s just something about the Japanese shows that’s different. The food is almost another character and it’s always beautiful. I don’t remember that in the Thai or Korean shows as much.

But didn’t you catch that passionate elbow action OVER the coat? LOL. At this point I’m like just don’t…
Totally. Part of it must be cultural norms, but there’s definitely some reluctance going on.
