I love that Uea is taking control of their relationship and calling the shots for awhile. Let him dictate what happens or doesn’t happen. That’s exactly what he needs right now. The scene where Uea tells King is so powerful and healing for him. I’m not too sure how accurate it is that a child abuser would also abuse women, but at least they’re showing consequences might be coming. I’m really hoping Uea will be able to speak for himself in the case with the step-molester and not just have King fight his battles for him.
How great that they at last showed Uea getting the mental/emotional help and support that he needs. I’ve not seen that in a Thai BL before.

It’s amazing to me that the actors are only 2 years apart, but look so different in age. I thought for sure TJ was like 30 something and WY was like 25.
The Vice manager is such a self serving asshat. Just straight out lied to TJ. Of course if WY had already told TJ himself it wouldn’t be an issue. Does WY know how that vice manager threw him under the bus?
Why the hell doesn’t WY tell him he already quit? And when he finds out, why doesn’t it sway TJ? He shouldn’t hold his past heartbreak against WY when he didn’t betray him. He was hurt by the ex, but he’s punishing WY as if he did the same thing. Good for WY for not giving up and trying over and over again. Wear that dude down!

I though the subs on G were better for season 2 of the show. There were subtle differences but they made the scenes more clear for me. I know about gross versus disgusting, but that doesn’t bother me as much.

I generally do prefer the subs on Viki, but we both know they were actually better for MBM on G.

Damn the subtitles are off or missing in sections on Gagaoolala. It’s so frustrating. But what a lovely first episode. So far it’s spot on with the manga. Does anybody know if the manga pictures during the ending credits were actually from the manga? I can’t remember the art well enough to know.

He is adorable and he was fantastic in Man Who Defied the BL World.

Totally. It is unlike any other Thai BL I’ve seen. There are no tropes in it. It doesn’t feel like a series to me. Both seasons feel like really long movies.

I like it too. I just find the complete lack of communication between them hard to understand. Maybe it’s cultural, but if I were JH I’d have whiplash from the way JW is acting. They are definitely keeping it secret from everyone and even from themselves to a certain extent because they’re absolutely not talking about what’s happening between them. I mean JW didn’t even talk to his therapist about it. I also wonder if JH has known he’s gay before this. I hope we get more
explanation and background on him.

Ok thanks. I still find it odd that there is just no discussion of the kiss and why JW avoided him. I guess the writers just think it’s part of their journey or they aren’t ready to talk yet? To me it seems like JW blows hot and cold with JH.
