It’s hard because the very fact that they’re making BL’s and showing gay people fall in love is important to help change S. Korea’s culture. However, consistently not having them kiss or showing weird, stilted kisses denies gay people representation and makes them not equal to hetero couples. I still think showing romantic love between gay people is important, but they have to also show that love in their actions. Even if they don’t kiss, they should hug, touch each other affectionately, hold hands and be into each other! I feel like Our Dating Sim should be mandatory watching for anybody making a KBL, because even if they hadn’t kissed, I was completely sold on their relationship. I’m glad they kissed, but it still would have worked without it. Just don’t give me stilted uncomfortable interactions and a shitty kiss, please. Sorry for venting.

At this point, what happens with Uea and King is secondary to me. I just want Uea to haul off and bitch slap that toxic waste dump who birthed him and the pedophile molester. I haven’t read the manhwa, so I have no idea what might happen. I hope it’s not a sad ending. They can’t give us bad kisses AND a sad ending. That would suck!

It is good to see KBL’s have male leads who are gay or bi and the story isn’t just about the journey of figuring that out, (although that is the case with Won Young). We’ll just have to wait to see how they progress in the rest of the story and hope it doesn’t go downhill.

I don’t know. The guy from Semantic Error went into the army right after the show finished and that had a pretty passionate kissing scene. I still think it comes down to the director and the actors’ comfort level.
