I can’t with these limp dead kisses. Why even bother? Is it the actors or directors who can’t do it? Because we have seen KBL’s with natural kissing. I just watched Our Dating Sim tonight and they were able to show real seeming kisses. And even if they hadn’t kissed, they showed their attraction and feelings with every touch, shoulder nudge, hand holding, hug and closeness in every scene. They acted like an actual couple does and that’s why it works. This show gave us almost none of any of that and that’s why it was sweet, but just blah for me.
This is giving me all the heart flutters I hoped for. Not a wrong note so far, though I didn’t like the possible love rival trope. Their chemistry is on fire and they’re showing it with their gestures, body language and actual kissing. It’s how actual couples act. I loved the call back to TK playing the game and LW reading the manhwa. The cuteness!!!This is how it’s done. I wish the KBL’s earlier this year could take notes.
The casual cruelty that this character has shown to the child is unfortunately quite prevalent in societies. Many…
You’re absolutely right. I wondered if it was cultural, but it’s still horrible. Also the way to change the culture is shows like this showing the person getting help. That can help shine a light on mental illness and de-stigmatize needing professional help. I really like the show too as my total meltdown about the aunt demonstrates, lol.
Episode 5 went back on track to what I expected from Phupha and Nanfah prequel. An adult BL with none of the buffoonery…
The clothes are definitely better on this show than a lot of Thai BL’s. At least they fit pretty well and look like clothes that could be bought in a store. Sometimes the clothes on other shows are obviously made for it and don’t fit well or look like street clothes at all.
That aunt couldn't control her anger when Taehyun wishes them dead. I don't blame her for physically hurting him.…
To say that to an adopted child is abusive. That has to be the biggest fear for TH and to casually say that is just awful. And she hasn’t changed in 10 years. She still blames the 7-8 year old kid!
I don’t understand why Cooper gets cast. He’s pretty terrible. Mark is slightly better but that may be because…
LOL. I didn’t mind Copper too much in My Engineer because his relationship was so chaotic and silly. As for Mark, he can’t get cast with a good partner imo. I don’t get chemistry with Cooper, the guy in MGYG was bad and the current on in Chains of Heart isn’t good either. Hmmm, maybe it’s Mark after all. Hope you survive till the end.
This is terrible. everything about it is half-assed except the actors, who are obviously putting in a lot of effort,…
I don’t understand why Cooper gets cast. He’s pretty terrible. Mark is slightly better but that may be because I find him more attractive than Cooper, lol. I can’t even get through the third episode. You’re made of a stronger stuff than me if you’re sticking with it.

She was awful to him from the start. She said his drawing was terrible and showed no sympathy for how an adopted child would feel about being replaced. She even threatened him about his mom still loving him. She’s the adult, he’s a child. She escalated everything and still blames him. That’s abuse in my book.
That “aunt” is a f***ing bitch. I want to throttle her for such abuse! No thought to that poor adopted kid and his feelings. so I blame her for everything that happened, not him. They all should have gotten therapy. What a heartbreaking past for Tae Hyun. He needs psychiatric help, not a boyfriend. DY by himself can’t fix him. What I like about this is that it isn’t a typical BL. It’s darker and deeper. They’re struggling with real problems. I’m just not sure a relationship between them is possible with TH’s emotional state. And the playfulness after the self-destructiveness was jarring. I hope they show TH getting the help he needs.
Lue is Din, and he is also the masked guy who have been trying to protect Ken everywhere. If you watch the scene…
I’m familiar with this kind of plot and it always seems like something out of a soap opera in the US. It’s not my thing, but it’s great that you’re enjoying it. I am watching The Promise and it’s a cute story. I didn’t know it was based on a true story.

I have nothing against Din, but like you said the chemistry with Lu is better. I just think it’s a better story if Ken can move on with someone new. The whole reconstructive surgery thing is so far fetched it makes the show cartoonish for me. But I’m pretty sure you’re right and that’s what’s going on.
The Cherry Magic movie took six months and that was on an illegal uploading site. I don’t think it’s on a legal streaming site yet or at least one that I subscribe to.
This has probably been posted already, but I just saw this trailer for the movie. It looks fantastic. I wish I could fly there to see it. https://youtu.be/x2yPkiRgQoA
