I loved this episode! I’m so glad Jim got his answers. He deserved to know the truth about Beam instead of feeling guilty and revering him in death.

Again Heart and Li Ming being the sweetest and most heartfelt couple ever. Though that camera angle kiss wasn’t great. I get why but it takes me out of their story.

I’m glad Heart’s mother agreed that they can see each other, but I just can’t get past how they treated him. How do you not even attempt to learn sign language? How do you not look for programs for him that will help him? They’ve got the internet!

I feel like Leng is there to move the plot along and ask the questions we all have, lol. There should be a law that Earth wears nothing but sleeveless shirts. Lordy those arms!

First has been good in everything I’ve seen him in. He was good even in The Shipper and that show was a car wreck.

Ok I’m watching it with eng subs on YT. I’m grateful for the subs, though it did make understanding what was happening a challenge at times as sometimes sections had none or didn’t make sense. I think I’m getting most it? I have never seen a university show with the tower/dorm selection process and it was very odd to me. Especially the stripping nude and appearance rating. Maybe it is all just made up for the show. But the leads are cute and I can tell who the couples are.

Everyone’s acting is really good, but man First is a great actor. He is making the most of this smaller role. The scene with Alan and Wen was so well done! But if Alan and Gaipa don’t meet soon, I’m afraid they’re not going to pair up in this show which is a bummer.
Gemini & Fourth were so good in this episode. It’s hard to believe this was their first time acting together. They’re so sweet and the emotions are real. I just love them. Why the hell did Heart’s parents not even learn sign language? What shit parents. And good for Fourth and Heart for standing up to them. I absolutely loved this episode. Though that kiss in the preview sure looked like a camera angle kiss to me.

I cannot get past this girl! I don’t feel any sympathy for her because she’s presumptuous and selfish. What right does she have to film him without his knowledge? Way to mess with their lives. But I loved the ending.

It was more the fact that he got up and performed it with no problem, but I see your guys’ point. I absolutely love the song, both the original and the cover.

I don’t think Hira is on the spectrum. His issues stem from his stuttering which caused self consciousness which led to being alone and bullied. He didn’t grow up interacting socially because it was too hard and kids are too cruel. People have been a source of pain for him and that is why he believes he’s worthless. It is ingrained in him that he has nothing to offer and why he believes that Kiyoi is only putting up with him and doesn’t really love him. Or if he thinks Kiyoi might love him, it can never last because he thinks inevitably Kiyoi will tire of him and leave him. He can’t love him as his equal because he doesn’t think he is. I agree that Kiyoi should think about what he knows of Hira’s experience with other people and try to understand Hira’s motivation, but he’s got his own demons he’s fighting. They’re both so flawed and real. That’s why we love them so much.

It will end with the set up for the movie coming out in April in Japan.

Definitely. Kiyoi is so much less unguarded this season because he’s happy and in love. If Hira can get out of his own way, they’re perfect together.

I actually thought it was good that Hira didn’t get into the competition because I thought Kiyoi’s continued belief and support would help Hira know he doesn’t have to be perfect, but he’s so twisted in his own head, that Kiyoi can’t reach him! It’s tragic. No other BL that I’ve seen deals with these kind of layered psychological and emotional issues. Eternal Yesterday sort of comes close, but it’s a completely unreal situation as opposed to real life. Can you tell that I am WAY too involved in this story, lol?

I liked rewatching the first season to catch all the subtle ways he shows his interest in Hira. I thought his performance was fantastic that season too. This season is just so emotional and he’s crushing it.
