Not my favorite History installment, but it was in the same season with Crossing the Line, which I love. I did like the story and the message of family being those you love. The ex-wife was a nightmare. I especially liked his girl friend and the brother of the ex-wife. The ending was lovely and sweet.
I can’t with this mother. She obviously had mental problems, but she seriously abused him. He owes her nothing unless he’s doing it for his own closure. I know Ritsu is trying to help Masumi, but man he’s caught between two manipulative people. Masumi breaks my heart. I love this show.
That body can’t be Din’s because he’s been chilling out in the mansion from Oh My Sunshine Night for the past 2 years. Why is Peter’s name listed as Cheng Talu on the cast credits? Wait, who’s the masked guy who’s stalking Ken? Is he Din or is Peter? Who are the guys all chained up? Kind of confused here. But I like the music.
Note to teacher Ton: if you’re attracted to teenage boys, go teach in an all girls school. I’m just saying all of this could have been avoided, lol. Weird, fetishy and boring? No thank you.
The mother deserves prison time for that abuse. I’m not too familiar with Net & James, but clearly they have great chemistry. Wow, Net has incredible charisma and looks! Clearly King is actually in love with Uea while Uea will be willfully misunderstanding and blaming him for everything before they actually get together. Hopefully it will be an enjoyable journey for us to watch. Pet peeve of mine: coffee cups that’s are clearly empty. How hard is it to put some coffee or even water in it? It’s so fake!
But let’s give the actor kudos for making such an impression in that short scene. Every eye and facial twitch told us how “off” he was. I was impressed by how much he packed in very little screen time.
For the life of me, I can’t understand how someone can watch this series and think Yagi Yusei didn’t crush it. He was so good in playing a complex and seemingly hard to like character. His layered performance was full of subtlety and nuance. Hagiwara Riku was also fantastic, but he had a more sympathetic character to play.
