Good points. For myself, since I saw this first, this is the measure that I judge both versions. I like that here both helped each other to find a better version of each other. But Bai was never going to completely lose his stick up the rear personality, but he felt strongly enough about Li Luduo to help her, to sacrifice for her and to express his inner feelings to her. The feelings were there but they weren't very overt. There were many instances that showed Li Luduo indicating that Bai was her choice. Her wish on the falling star, next to Huohuo, that Bai would come back. Also when she was comforting Hao Tian who worried about her BF, she talked about how her life had changed because she met someone. If you watch her eyes, she shifted to look in Bai's direction when she was talking about that. Li Luduo was pretty sharp in picking up things. So she knew that Bai had feelings for her although she might not admit to herself that she had feelings for him. And just before the first kiss, she wondered why he went out of his way to bother her. She expected him to confess and became angry when he couldn't. There was a subtext in their talk about suffering in the time loop.

She got fired and Pan couldn't get to her waiting with her box in front of her office building. She decided to take a taxi and break up with him by phone. Pan ended up renting a bike and cycled to her in the rain but got there just after she left. He chased for a while on the bike, but gave up. Later Zuo Na mentioned that she talked to her about the break up and Pan asked if Jiao Rao had anything to say to him. No. Later another friend said that he saw her sitting at a table with another guy. Pan never tried to contact her after the break up. In ep. 36 Zuo Na mentioned something the ex-GF said, but it was about Life and not towards Pan. I think that the ex-GF couldn't bear that Pan was successful and that she wasn't. I think everything at the end is how life sank towards ordinariness for everyone. Although Pan's Mom got re-married, and Xinxin came for the wedding. Zuo Na's dad was in the hospital. He needed her uncle to return some money to get out of jail. He is eating some bun that his ex-wife made for him and Zuo Na is holding his hand. None of the ships ended up happening. The dad's GF is in the hospital alone. I'm not sure if she lost her baby but she says that it appears that she can't have another. She says this in a call to Zuo Na, but Zuo Na never visits her.

He really isn't like that inside. But he is ill equipped to navigate human relations. Not because he is pompous but he has a naive viewpoint of the world. You'll see this with his crush much later on.

Pan Yan gives the vibes of a cute younger brother. imho I think that the triangle will remain, but mebbe Zuo Na won't be at the firm at the end. I really don't like how her Mother is using her to destroy the Father and her ex-BF. I may be wrong, but the heels on the shoe shot in the intro isn't what Xinxin wore when she got kicked out of Baylor's apt and jumped. Will there be a second jumper?

With the divorce circus of Zuo Na's parents and the fight with her ex-BF, Pan Yan is the only one who can have a intimate conversation with ZN, with care, warmth and understanding. Yi Nam's character isn't written that way.

Jiao Rao had an on off relationship with Pan Yan. I felt that the show showed them together, but until they were waiting at the bus stop didn't give them more than surface interactions. She says nice things but they weren't the focus, like in the group party. Her comments are mixed with Zuo Na talking at the same time. She is introduced when PY and her meet her parents in the beginning, then her grand ma gets sick and she takes some time off from their relationship but later comes back. Then there is trouble at work and when she is fired and waits outside with the box, PY can't get there on time and after waiting she decides to break up and head home. He had resorted to finally renting a bicycle to get to her, but just misses her and follows for a bit in the rain. Later he asks Zuo Na about her and asks if she talked about him. She didn't. At this point I would have said that if she was important, he should have reached out to her first. Don't know how it will end but they show more chemistry with him and Zuo Na than with ZN and Yi Nam. The wrap picture of JX with the flowers is separate and she wears the same dress as when she got fired. I like Julia Xiang from Love In Time so followed her character here. She looks more plain with less makeup. I guess they were going for an ordinary girl next door look. Had a bit of trouble recognizing her here, sometimes.

I think that what is preying on Yi Yong mind is that his Father was killed and his Grandfather was targeted and is now in a coma because the GF wouldn't help the ancient spirit. That Yi Yong is now unwillingly forced to help the spirits in order to meet is Father. That earlier came out when he spoke of his initial unwillingness to help the Doll. That Chuying appeared to say that she was glad to meet him because it helped her career was doubly hurtful. But her reaction when Guang Yan called her on that showed that it was taken out of context. She has feeling for him, though it doesn't seem to be returned.

Perhaps he is the father of the twins and that's why Kang left her.

Pan Yan's Jia Rao broke up with him again. bummer.

Pan Yan has a GF, Julia Xiang who was in Love in Time. Kinda different look ere and she mostly is out of the picture.

There is also The Ordinary Glory, 2022 a workplace drama about a mentor and an intern. I think that white17e was thinking about this one.

Their Moms are suffocating Zuo Na and Yi Nan. I don't see him at this point filling the fear of betrayal in her heart. Even if her Mom comes out OK Zuo Na will have a fear of relations.

I wonder if there will be two killers, who may or may not be working together. One might involve the Mother and Father and the FL. Ko Min Sook, the sister may look good for that and would explain why a killing happened with the brother in prison. If she is the consummate predator, perhaps she played mind games with the Father and caused him to be ruined. The other might be the brother and the victims would be the women he previously attacked. I still wonder if the person following the FL into the tunnel wasn't carried along with the car's turbulence.

The first two episodes are very good. Worth watching.
