Do you think Tae Young wants Kwon Suk to keep boxing (and so changed his mind from what he had originally promised…
I think it’s just his belief that people should do what they’re good at. He stopped playing baseline because he didn’t excel at it but he deeply admires people who are talented. I think the show will ultimately show that it’s important for people to do what they love (not what they’re good at), and that even though the FL is talented, she shouldn’t have to continue doing a sport she hates.
This writer must really like chemistry with others while still in a relationship. ML is still with his fiance…
I actually feel really bad for this mother. I honestly hope she’ll ask for a divorce but I have a feeling she’ll end up just staying with her husband who suddenly becomes more attentive to her.
Fr, the cheating part really puts me off & they seem to try to brush it off with the SFL shown to be cheating…
Totally agree. I am finding it so annoying how they’re now making the SFL into this terrible person who also cheats on him in order to somehow normalise and excuse his behaviour. But the thing is that SFL is not meant to be the hero that we’re rooting for. I think this is the first drama I’ve ever watched where the ML cheats on his fiancé and the FL is effectively the other woman.
So in ep 7 they say spells aren't working. Then why everyone keep complimenting FL on her now fairer skin and…
I thought it was just one person commenting on it? That said, I thought it was pretty funny how they tried to comment on her blemishes when the actress doesn’t have a single blemish or spot on her face!
i love your thoughts regarding to their scenes lol, As we all know that he already broke up with NY once, she…
“He was swayed” in my opinion still implies that she was the one seducing him and he ended up being swayed by her. I am not surprised that NY ended up attacking HJ for it (of course she’s a huge hypocrite), but he should have seen that coming and I am pretty annoyed that he doesn’t protect HJ better.
"I won't take a single step towards you" ahahah yeah well, about that. What he did was honestly agonising to the…
I am really annoyed how he told his fiancé that “he was swayed” which totally put the blame on HJ which is not fair. He didn’t even seem particularly surprised or upset that his fiancé slapped HJ, which is so unfair because she didn’t deserve it. He was the one pursueing her, not the other way around but he clearly refuses to acknowledge that and first blamed her for the spell, and then the neural coupling.
It also doesn’t show good character that just a few hours after his fiancé confronted him, he then goes and kisses HJ. And I doubt he properly broke up with her. At this point he’s definitely cheating on her and not just emotionally.
And I know they’re now showing that his fiancé is also cheating on him and that she’s even worse, but this doesn’t make it better in my opinion. SFL is not the supposed “hero” of the story, and it makes it hard to root for him.
That said, I am actually enjoying Rowoon’s portrayal of the character. I found many of his previous roles quite bland and boring (despite being so handsome) but at least here he’s a more interesting character.
Despite the fact that SFL is obviously a terrible person, I am still super annoyed with the ML. He has known for a long time now that he doesn’t truly love SFL and he still doesn’t break up with her. Instead, he seems to be stringing her along. I get the sense that he’s waiting for HJ to accept him / confess, and until she does that he won’t break up with NY which I find super cowardly. I don’t care that NY is also cheating on him, he doesn’t know that, and imho it shows that he’s a coward. He can’t stand up to his parents or his fiancé and be honest about what he wants. It really annoys me.
ML says too many top cringe level lines for it to be natural. His initial personality was that of a tight lipped…
I feel like they’re trying to make the point that he loved her before the spell already, but that makes no sense. He barely knew her before, and their interactions before the love spell were pretty negative.
ahhh man his drunk confession and how he in the end asked her .. do you really think this is the spell's doing?…
To be fair, it must be quite hard for her because she believes he only likes her because of the spell, and that he has a girlfriend/fiancé. I can see why you wouldn’t want to drop your guard in that context.
I am probably in the minority here, but I actually love Xu Ziquan’s flirty personality. It’s so rare to see that in Asian dramas and so much more entertaining than the usual tsundere ML.
I really think Sin-Yu needs to break up with his girlfriend / fiancé. Regardless of whether the love spell was real or not, he knows already that he never truly loved SFL, so he should just let her go. I don’t like her at all but it’s still really unfair to be two-timing like that. And he doesn’t even have any intention for the “love spell” to break. It has been pretty clear that he’s happy to go along with it and that he wants to be with Hong-Jo.
I dont like how they excuse this arrogant narcissistic behaviour because of the spell. He was being very rude…
I find the relationship between his parents quite interesting, because I think his dad is treating his mum the same way as Shin-Yu would if they were together/married. Constantly putting her down and insulting her, but I am sure they’ll ultimately show that his dad does love his wife. It’s actually a bit sad how often this kind of behaviour is romanticised in kdramas.
Agreed. This show is better than expected and the characters are great.I was thinking the US thing was actually…
Yep, I think that’s really likely but will probably lead to some misunderstandings if FL thinks he betrayed her. Who knows, maybe that’s even what they’re fighting about in the previews.
One thing I find quite good about this drama is that it’s actually quite hard to predict. I assume ML and FL will end up dating at the end, but right now it’s still hard to foresee how that would actually develop. FL still seems really into SML (although she also seems to be getting jealous of ML’s ex), and it’s hard to imagine how they’d get out of the friend zone. I can’t imagine ML actively pursuing her given that he’s her agent and quite a bit older.
I also have no idea where this is going in terms of the boxing plot. The only time that it really seemed that FL was enjoying boxing is when she’s teaching others. And ML still seems committed to the whole match fixing idea, so I don’t know what the whole thing about advancing in the US is about. Is that actually a plan to eventually get Han Ah Reum to advance once she wins her match? I can’t really see FL wanting to continue as a boxer at this stage.
