I have been wondering whether they’ve had sex already 😄. My sense so far was that he was trying for it, but she was feeling shy about it which was why she instead distracted him with questions when they were lying in bed together in ep 10? 😅 But I guess they just omitted the scenes.

I have a new theory. I have been wondering whether they will now remove the storyline with Mr. Ma (the older rich guy) given that Tang Ying‘s first love has now also entered the scene and it would probably be too much to have two other love interests. But then I wondered - what if the point is to reverse the situation that XZQ had with his previous gf? In his previous relationship, it was his girlfriend who was ready to get married and settle down, but XZQ wasn’t ready and might have also had other women around him who were interested in him. Whereas now it seems to be XZQ who is super ready for this relationship, wanted to move in together, and seems to be thinking about marriage and kids. What if this is actually now the reverse of his previous relationship, with Tang Ying being the one with multiple other love interests, and who also seems a bit more aloof now in the relationship (and probably not yet thinking about marriage)? That said, just a theory and I really hope they’ll end up together! And not sure if the theory would even work out because XZQ clearly still has his own admirers. So maybe it’s more a storyline of both of them needing to learn to trust each other, set heathy boundaries and communicate with each other. I hope that plays out.

Yes I would, I am actually still on friendly terms with all of my previous boyfriends. But I would definitell my partner about it. And same thing applies for my partner - he’s actually also still friends with at least one previous partner, and it’s not an issue for me. Trust is important.

This drama is making me feel so anxious. I really hope TY tells XZQ about having reconnected with Cheng Ke, especially since it looks like they’re meeting up in the next episode. And it would be pretty bad to do that behind his back. I guess it looks like he’s also meeting with a girl who has a crush on him, but I think it’s a bit worse if she‘s meeting a guy she was in love for 10 years and doesn’t tell him.

I really wish we got to see a few episodes of them just being happy together, but now that her first love turned up, I guess things will get more complicated again. Such a shame because they’re so cute together and XZQ seems so in love and ready to be serious. Hope they don’t mess this up. I really like them together.

I skip a lot of the work stuff and don’t think I’ve missed out too much 😅 The romance takes a bigger role in the later episodes.

Does anyone have recommendations for dramas with a ML similar to XZQ? Only one I can think of maybe is Xu Kai’s character in Arsenal Military Academy, but that’s quite a different drama 😅

I think it’s both. He was already flirting with her before he knew who she was, so I think he does find her pretty. But I don’t think he would be pursuing her like this if she wasn’t famous and he’s clearly interested in being her agent and therefore making money through her. I think it’s quite possible though that once she finds out that he was just using her and she ditches him, that he realises that his feelings were sincere but by then it’ll be too late.

Given how the ML was such a prick to her in the earlier episodes, I really hope it’ll be him falling for her first rather than the other way around. That said, given the age difference and the fact that he’s her agent, I suppose it would be a bit difficult for him to chase her in a way that wouldn’t come across as inappropriate. Wonder how they’ll solve that 😅 Maybe he’ll just be pining for her without saying anything until she also realises her feelings?

I am so glad this is subbed on Viki. The subtitles on kisskh are AWFUL, I couldn’t get past the first few minutes because the dialogue made no sense. Viki subs are much better.

Really enjoying the chemistry and push-pull between the leads here. And it’s so rare to see a playboy type ML in drama land, he is so refreshing compared to the usual stoic and cold CEO types.

MQY (the older guy) is also quite different to how I thought he’d be like based on the MDL description. I kinda like that he’s portrayed as a sleazy, scumbag type character who preys on young girls. It’s much more realistic than him falling madly in love with her at first sight and just pining over her.

I am actually sad that this is meant to have only 14 episodes - so short for a cdrama! But I am also confused how they’ll fit in the whole storyline that’s on the MDL description? As of the end of ep 8, ML and FL are starting to date, so I don’t get how the fake relationship trope would come in? FL also doesn’t seem like someone who would accept her parents pressuring her into marriage?

I am so confused about the MDL description. Just finished watching ep 8, and it definitely seems to be moving towards a real relationship. Not sure how that would turn into a fake relationship at this point, unless they want to make it sound more established for her parents than it is? But they’re definitely already dating and it’s so clear that they like each other. But maybe the MDL description is wrong?

Totally agree, I dropped My lovely Liar after a few episodes. Just couldn’t get into it and didn’t find the characters as interesting.

I am really enjoying it! I think it deserves better ratings. The first episode was a bit slow but it keeps getting better. And because it’s only 12 episodes in total, I hope it won’t drag :)

For anyone considering whether to watch it, I found the first episode pretty boring and slow, but episodes 2 and 3 are way better. So would suggest watching at least the first two episodes and then deciding whether to carry on. I think it’s getting better and better!

I’ve really enjoyed the last couple of episodes, and despite the age difference, I am pretty excited about any future romance between ML and FL. I quite enjoy their dynamic. ML was such a prick to her, but FL is not a pushover at all (which I love to see!), so I think it won’t be too easy for him to win her over. Plus the fact that he’ll probably be in denial over his feelings for quite a while. Also LSY is so handsome - he looks way younger than his age, so I don’t mind the age difference much.

Yes, you might be right. I did think his behaviour towards her was super unacceptable. Especially when he released information about her to the media
because she didn’t want to return to boxing. It’s going to take a lot to redeem him.

I wasn’t a fan of the first episode but quite enjoyed the second episode. Definitely think this has potential. The ML is pretty unlikable at the moment, but that provides opportunities for lots of character development. And I quite like the FL so far!
