Guang Ming is a cheater! The fact that Xiao Rou stood up late and bought a nice cake to celebrate their 2nd year anniversary as a married couple, he went to eat out with that other lady (hanging out with her on multiple occasions secretly) and brought home a gift for Xiao Rou who already has that gift from the same restaurant. It has no sincerity behind it. He is so shameless trying to be that perfect modest model husband. I hope she divorces him. She deserves way better!
binged through all current 16 ep. This drama is a very good contemporary romance drama! I definitely recommend it! there are some tropes here & there but it’s not done in an overt-overly dramatized way. I love the tone & atmosphere. It gives off cozy-family vibes. Great soundtrack & cinematography. I love the virtual RPG aspect. It’s very cool. The overall cast is great too. 8.7 rating is well deserved! I hope the quality in writing & production stays consistent to the very end.
Lu Yuxiao is absolutely fantastic in this one! A total star! I love her acting style so much. She is so GORGEOUS. There’s this glitter-shine in her eyes. Lu Yuxiao really adds a lot of depth & nuance to Hu Xiu. The FML is so well written! I LOVE her so much 😫🥰❤️Straightforward, down to earth, grounded, and knows what she wants. Plus her casual-day to day outfits are so good.
The trauma past with the ML is a bit overdone in so many dramas but for this drama it works in the narrative. His trauma doesn’t affect his ability in his work. Plus his character isn’t the typical cold hearted-brushing everyone away lol. He knows how to joke, be honest, & communicate. He’s an introvert who is reserved & cautious because his past trauma. Chen Xing Yu does a fine job with the material.
HX & ZY are likable main characters & the actors have nice chemistry. I love HX & ZY budding relationship. I love how they work & learn together. SLOW BURN done right!! Their witty banter, conversations & scenes is so well done. They are literally glued to eachother like Velcro lol 😆 They obviously both are smitten & like each other very much. I’m hoping there’s no breakup era for those two when they finally date but I fear it might happen lol 😔
omg the last scene in ep 3 🥹 it’s almost like a marriage proposal between TP & MS 😫 the way they both cry 😭 plus they were under the first snowfall of the year together ❄️❤️🤭

So far, there is no romance (yet) since the two leads just started working together. The romance is more of a sub-genre so I’m not sure how big or small it will be in the show.

depends what you’re looking for? it focuses more on character building. the first two ep sets up the story nicely. visually, it’s a good looking drama. well directed. if you want romance then it’s probably not for you but the romance might be an aspect of the story. the relationship between all the characters is good so far. it’s an under dog type of storyline.
I definitely recommend it. But it’s all about preference. do check it out if you’re curious.
